History

Established in 2011.

Comfort Keepers is a large in-​home care organization with over 700 offices nationwide and international. I opened by office in 2011 after leaving my prior career to care for my father. It is not easy to care for ailing, aging parents and I want us to assist families in keeping their loved ones in their own homes for as long as possible.

Business Owner

Joan Wurzer is a Certified Senior Advisor and Owner/​General Manager of Comfort Keepers® of Inver Grove Heights. Prior to starting her business, Joan worked in the financial services industry doing venture capital investing and forming and managing locally based investment groups. She left that career to care for her father and those experiences brought about the passion for a new career helping seniors and their families. Joan opened her Comfort Keepers office in February of 2011. She is on the board of Living Longer & Stronger in West St. Paul, an initiative working to connect residents with resources they need to remain active and engaged in the community. Joan lives in Inver Grove Heights with her husband and two children.
