Discount Tire Store – Inver Grove Heights, MN

New management? What happened to this shop? I had scheduled an appointment 3 days earlier for today at 930. After waiting 40 minutes without my car moving from its parking spot, I retrieved my keys and left. Sadly I wasn’t a new customer although today’s appointment was for just a minor repair.
The most valuable thing we have in life is time, don’t waste it here.

Nice guys, very friendly. Good prices. I visited this place to get a replacement tire for one they sold me and went flat after a week or so. But they broke my door handle while working on my tire, and kinda went «uhh, this broke» and handed it to me when I showed up to pick up my car. Then they charged me the fee to get a new warranty on my tire they replaces. The handle is still broken so it’s a hassle to get into my car now. Thanks guys…

Decent service & I was taken care of early even though I had a later appt. Rob was good to me. My non 5^th star is due to the price which is a bit on high end. Still I was taken care of similar to at home

It seems like I’ve had the worst luck this year when it comes to tires (that’s what I get for getting a used car). But three different times and three flat tires later discount tire in inver grove always goes out of their way to make sure everything goes smoother and as quick as possible.
Al the employees their are wonderful. Particularly on this day Nathan was fantastic. He remembered me from the previous times so even expedited my tire change to go quicker for me. He went out in the rain to check it out and got me out of there in no time.
Definitely take your car here to make your life easier

This discount tire has a very good manger and is a solid place to get new tires, they tend to stay busy so make an appointment if you don’t have time to wait. However I have just walked in and got tires and i was in and out in less than a hour!

As someone who doesn’t know a thing about cars/​tires, I had a great experience at discount tire. In the past when I have went to other places to get car work done, I have always felt like I was getting taken advantage of since I didn’t know a thing. Here at Discount, they were honest with me and didn’t try upselling me on anything. The man I delt with was very upfront and honest. I do suggest making an appointment if you are looking at going after work (5pm) as it did seem to be somewhat busy. But, I was in and out in 30 minutes with two new tires. I will continue to go back there for any tire work!

Get your lazy ass off the phone when customers are standing in front of you waiting to be helped! No one cares about what side of the bar you like to sit at while watching the Vikings game or whether or not you like pickles on your sandwiches at that restaurant. This is company time, not your time, save those personal calls for a break.

Tony never did help us, his coworker came in from the garage to offer us help as Tony continued to chuckle and make plans on the phone with his friends. I feel bad for all his coworkers that have to pick up his slack.
This was the last straw for this DT store and I’m done coming here for my tires. The convenience and location of this DT store is not worth the headache anymore.
My first visit left me with scratched rims and poorly balanced tires, while the second visit was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.
Avoid this DT at all cost!

I had a baaaad day. After a long day at work I was excited for my 3 day weekend. I stopped at the Linders flower hut before going home and went in and got my flower therapy. On my way out to the car with my box of flowers I noticed I had a flat tire. And I mean FLAT. Like holy crap how long did I drive on that thing flat.
I called up my hubby to come rescue me and waited in the parking lot. Sadly my hubby had been up for 24 hours and was not a happy camper — but he came and got those stubborn lugs off. I mentioned that there was a tire place across the parking lot — maybe we could take it over there? We threw the tire in the back of the truck and drove across the parking lot.
Before we could get the tire out of the truck someone was coming over to give us a hand. They talked AND LISTENED to us and then took the tire from us and hauled it in. I checked us in and they said 45 minutes or so. I saw my hubby wilt at the time estimate. He was exhausted and the thought of sitting in a waiting room when he was that tired was daunting to say the least. We mentioned it to the manager (Christopher I think?) and he said they would try and hurry us through. He found us a few minutes later and said it was a bad stem and they were already working on the repair. AWESOME!
It seemed like two minutes later when they said we were done. He told us what they had done and was like — You are good to go. I said let me get you some money — and he said «I don’t need your money.» Say what!!! Yeah. He said they were not going to charge us. You could have knocked me down with a feather. He gave us some cards to hand out for a free flat repair or rotation and told us to tell out friends. Which I am.
We took our tire and our full wallets and headed back to my car. Tom was putting the tire on when he noticed they didn’t give us the plastic cover thingy for the tire. We were going to drive over and pick it up — when we see Chris running towards us across the parking lot to give us our plastic thingy. He was so sweet and offered to tighten our tire up for us if we wanted to drive over to the shop.
Honest to Jebus I didn’t think I would EVER see service like this. It was like being in the 1950’s only I didn’t have to wear a dress and heals and 40 lbs of hair spray and I didn’t get my ass pinched.
Um — Yeah. I will be back for a tire rotation and balance soon. I think I have a new go to place for tire care. Sweeeeeet!
