A coffee place that won’t serve you coffee if you don’t have oysters, hilariously. Oh and all waiters said the same thing

Let me start by saying the scones and food here are fantastic. I’ve been here twice now and when they are on this is a terrific spot. Take care of the flies and be open and ready for business when you’re supposed to and this would easily be five stars. Two things that are troublesome. Both time I’ve been here there are over a dozen flies in a corner of the shop. Not sure why they are there but the good news is it’s by the shelf with the books and soaps. Still it’s pretty nasty to see all those flies. The scones –we had strawberry and bacon cheese — are truly phenomenal. Fresh baked and really tasty. Day one cabinet was filled with lots to eats and the place smelled of bacon — they serve a few breakfast meals that have bacon. Day two — day after Halloween and first day of standard time(fall back they had an extra hour of sleep) — the hours are posted as 8 – 4. The staff showed up exactly at 8 o’clock with three people waiting already. When we got in nothing was set up and no pastries were available except the refrigerated leftovers from yesterday. As she scrambled to get things ready several other people got in line. I left at 8:15 with two cold day old scones which I received no discount for a cappuccino and latte. Several people left when they saw the line wasn’t moving and there were no pastries. I was told pastries would be in in about 30 to 60 minutes. I was mostly disappointed because on my previous visit it was so damn good.
