Big 10 University Towing

My car broke down and I had a find a tow truck. My auto insurance company told me that big 10 towing is a good company. About 20 minutes later Matt truck 28 came out. He was so professional and really good at his job. Truly thankful for him.

Literally no one wants their car to be towed. The circumstances around it are almost surrounding horrible circumstances. Whether your car breaks down or you park it somewhere you’re not to, I certainly didn’t want to deal with it.
In the case of this frustrating experience, though, I’m glad Big 10 towed it. I didn’t find a single extra scratch on my car, and it was just as I had left in it in the parking lot the day before. Paying of the towing fees ($ 116), and I was quickly on my way with my car with minimal paperwork. Pretty friendly service, and it was a pretty simple in-​and-​out affair.
My only complaint is that the towing lot is quite a bit of a drive outside of town. If I hadn’t had a friend to drive me, I would have had to take a taxi or find someone. It’s definitely not walking distance.
Not a great experience overall (I never want to have my car towed), but in terms of what could have happened, I’m glad that they got it instead of someone else.

I was a little frazzled having my car break down at the intersection of Melrose and Mormon Trek at 5pm on New Years Eve (sorry if you were stuck behind me!). The cop said he could call to have Big 10 come try to jump my car and they arrived really quickly! The tow truck driver was extremely nice and let my son sit in the truck so he wasn’t stuck in a cold car. When the jump didn’t work, they got me hooked up quickly and towed to my place. He even let my son turn on the beacon — he thought that was pretty cool.
After I realized I had roadside assistance, I called the number through my insurance so I could get it towed to a mechanic and was pleased to find out that they worked with Big 10. They told me the driver would arrive in 20 minutes and they showed up in 10. This driver was also really friendly and was really helpful.
My grandfather ran a towing business for over 40 years so I never had to deal with any towing businesses other than his. I’ve heard horror stories and was really happy that Big 10 was the complete opposite of what I have heard about other places. They are fast, friendly and extremely helpful in frustrating circumstances. I would definitely recommend them to all of my family/​friends.

I accidentally left my car lights on overnight and I didn’t have a friend with jumper cables, so I called this place. After only about 20 minutes after calling them a tow truck arrived and the employee got my car running again in no time. Highly recommended!
