Highway 1 Auto Sales & Service specializes in pre-owned quality used vehicles and servicing your vehicle. Franchise car dealerships are too expensive. The manufacturer requires them to spend money on big buildings, high priced equipment, and needless software. They then pass those costs on to you. Thankfully, we don’t have those issues. Trying to be different than most other car dealerships, we provide a «potential» LIFETIME Engine Warranty on all of our vehicles. It’s «potential» because it is up to you, the customer. If you live within 50 miles of Iowa City and have your oil changed with us every 4 months or 5,000 miles the warranty will continue for as long as you own the vehicle. Live outside of 50 miles and have your oil changed by an authorized BG Oil dealer it is covered as well. Choose not to and the vehicle is covered for the first 4 months or 5,000 miles. And all of our vehicles come with 4 months of Roadside Assistance including towing, Jump Starting, Lock Out assistance, Tire Assistance, and fuel-fluid delivery. Our vehicles are mostly local trade-ins and not purchased at an auto auction. Our Service Department is run buy a certified technician with over 20 years experience. Our labor rates are lower than any dealer in town, and the quality of work is exceptional. Plus we offer same day service in most cases. We are located on Highway 1 in Iowa City right across from the Iowa City airport close to Mormon Trek. We appreciate the opportunity.

25 plus years in the business trying to make the car buying experience enjoyable — not a pressure experience dealing with salespeople that won’t leave you alone. As a prior franchise new car dealer, it’s nice to not have to deal with the manufacturer anymore. Too many needless costs and time wasted that don’t improve the customer’s experience. Plus in today’s world most people can’t afford new vehicles. So it’s time to offer here in Eastern Iowa a place where customers enjoy the car buying experience and can get their vehicles serviced at an affordable price in a timely manner.
