After completing her residency in Neurology at Albert Einstein, Dr. Jafari pursued fellowship training in Neuromuscular Medicine at UCLA, which gave her an unrivaled and deep understanding of the anatomical structures of face and fine interplay between the nerves and muscles in the face and body, something she relies on constantly when performing various cosmetic injections and procedures with the utmost level of precision. She has successfully completed numerous advanced training course in various cosmetic procedures. Long-​term client and first-​time reviewer. I have been doing laser hair treatments at Amoderm for over a year and couldn’t be happier with the results and my overall experience at Amoderm. I had done tons of research on laser hair removal and had read about different laser machines, and knew I could see better results with YAG lasers. So I started calling up different places nearby and started checking out the ones that offered this type of laser, and I am so glad I found Amoderm. I was impressed by the ease of making appointments and the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. When I saw their doctor and spoke with her, she gave me very helpful advice and I really felt they were more interested in helping me decide what was best for me and not just pushing me to buy. The consult went well and I signed up for a couple of areas at a great price and scheduled my sessions right away. I had my lasers with three of their nurses over the months and have been happy with them all. More importantly, the laser worked amazingly great and most of the hair is gone and not come back. Such a time (and even life) saver! I am so happy for finding Amoderm and have already sent them a couple of friends who all have been equally happy so far. What else can you expect from a top-​notch medspa? Definitely check them out!

2200 $ later and some areas of my body have even thicker hair than when I started hair laser removal with amoderm.
When I first started my treatments for my bikini and underarm areas, I was told that I was the perfect candidate because of my fair complexion and very dark coarse hair, and that I would see results that last within about 4 sessions.
I bought 6 sessions for my Brazilian and my underarms, after 3 sessions I had practically no hair, but then my hair starting to grow like I never got a single treatment. While in the meantime I purchased 6 sessions for my upper lip, full arms, and full legs. I initially started with fine hair on my thighs and arms. Her I am 6 sessions later with these areas ticker hair than ever. I have to wax every 3 weeks now. Oh and same for my upper lip…
Then I had a consultation with the doctor to talk to them about my concerns, she told me it’s probably my hormones. The thing is I was seeing an endocrinologist at the the time and checked my hormones, and they were very normal. And they did a full panel of hormones check.
I also repurchased another round of 6 sessions for my Brazilian and underarms. I still have a couple sessions left but I don’t want to even use them because of the lack of result from this facility.
And also one of the nurse is super rude… I had to ask to not be scheduled with her anymore after she didn’t laser the entire area of my Brazilian.
Also another thing I did not appreciate was the fact that they always gave me ice for pain purposes, but then one day out of the blue the rude nurse tells me that they won’t be giving ice anymore cause it makes the appointment too long and they have been slow (business wise) because of that. Wow!
AND to top it all during one of my session they just bring an extra nurse that was training during my appointment without a warning. I u see stand they need to train her, but please give some kind of notice that I would have to strip down in front of more than one person the next appointment…
Anyways I wasted a good chunk of money to basically lose an hour of my time, to get my hair thickened rather than disappear.
Guys don’t waste your money they use an old kind of laser machine and don’t use the right settings to get you to buy more sessions.
Never again.

I never write Unilocal reviews but after my experience with Amoderm I knew I had to share with everyone how absolutely impressive this doctor’s office is. I have tried laser hair removal at other facilities and have been disappointed by the time, money, and effort I put into these treatments. After a recommendation from a friend, I skeptically decided to give laser hair removal one last try and visited Amoderm for a consultation. I AM SO GLAD I DID.
Upon meeting for my FREE consultation I was fully informed from start to finish of how the process would work. The receptionists were cheerful, welcoming, and informative! They were discrete and insured I felt comfortable enough to ask any and all questions. They helped me purchase the best package deal for me and book my appointments for my sessions at my leisure which was really helpful for me because I have a busy schedule! Their flexibility and attention was so helpful so I was really sold at the first meeting. Dr. Jafari is so talented and smart. She assessed my skin and asked acute questions that ensured me she was being extremely thorough, safe, and effective with my treatments. They even did a test area on me during the consultation which was awesome because I was nervous about the pain. It turns out they have THE BEST MACHINE! That really relieved me.
I began my treatments and spaced them out about 6 weeks apart. The nurses that worked with me were fabulous. They were prompt and focused but incredibly easy going and fun to chat with. This made the entire experience void of any awkwardness which just continued to increase my comfortability. I began seeing results rapidly and now that I am done with all 6 sessions all the areas I purchased are completely hairless! Their YAG machine (had to ask them the name) is THE MOST EFFECTIVE with little to NO PAIN. I have since told all my friends about Amoderm and want to keep sending the the AMO back because I love them that much! Five stars! High fives! They rock!

Had my final session today and I would most definitely recommend Amoderm for any hair removal needs. My work schedule is always hectic but they always fit me in last minute or put me on the wait list and call me as soon as there is an opening. I have never waited more than 5 mins after arriving for my appointment and the staff make you very comfortable and relaxed to get your mind off the discomfort from the laser.

I tried 2 services at Amoderm, Laser hair removal and microdermabraision. I have been referred to them through a friend and now I am a member of their microderm club. I really like it and I do see the difference between their microderm and the one that I had before. It is way more deeper and after each time the esthetician shows me all the dead skin and dirt that she cleaned from my skin. Occasionally with a small fee I add facial and I really love it.
I also started Laser Hair removal. I chose several areas and I got a very good packaging discount. The total cost became very reasonable and affordable. Dr Jafari was present at the consultation and evaluated my skin and answered my medical questions. I have been seeing reasonable hair reduction and in general very happy with result. The nurses are very experienced and nice and professional. After 6 sessions I only have little fine scattered hairs. I should add that after my second session I had some redness, I called the office and shared my concern and in just couple of hours Dr Jafari called me and gave me the instructions to help with that. She is extremely caring. All the office staff are nice and professional. The office is really clean and you get high quality service over there. Over all it has been a great experience and I highly recommend Amoderm to friends and family. Thank you very much Amoderm Team!

Buyer beware! Take your money somewhere else. I did six sessions at this place and saw very little if any results. They use low power settings on their laser machines and always seem to be training someone new who has very little experience. The result after almost a year is very little permanent hair removal.
I have friends that have gone to other places where they used stronger settings on their laser machines, and had better trained staff. They achieved amazing results at those other places, while I had to spend thousands here for nothing.
Also, they pay a lot of lip service to getting «additional sessions» and paying for time on the machine later for «maintenance». This place is no good.
I should also add that you’ll never see the doctor after your initial consultation and she’ll never ever return your calls or answer your questions. After they take your money, it’s downhill from there.
Go somewhere else or you’ll be here writing the same thing I am.

Thank you Dr. Jafari and staff !!! Iv had Botox and after a quick consult Dr Jafari pointed out a flaw of mine that I loath and have lived with and she gave me hope ! I made an appt the following week and had restylan under my eyes that just softened everything ! I am no longer insecure with my hallow tired look iv been sporting my whole life and now feel refreshed! Dr Jafari is so kind and honest and conservative with her injections! So happy

I have spent years and many concealers trying to hide my dark sunken-​in under eyes (which I had named my Gucci Bag’s) and it was something that had always bothered me. Two years ago, I had gone to a Doctor’s office and experienced a horrific experience trying to use a filler to fix the problem. The doctor at the time had recommended using Belatero which was a type of filler. The experience was extremely painful and after multiple injection sights, I had swollen, black and blue eyes. It looked as if I had got into a fight with someone and I was even told not to come into work for a few days after my boss had seen the results.
For obvious reasons, I was skeptical to try again with another Doctor. However, I was determined to try to find a solution to the problem. I walked into Dr. Jafari’s office and was greeted by the amazing front desk staff. They offered me water and tended to my needs, I had mentioned to one of the girls that I was feeling anxious and she brought me some cranberries to bring up my blood sugar. The girl at the front took my pictures and I am really happy she did because it was really fun to be able to see the before and afters, before I left the office. Dr. Jafari came and consulted with me about my concerns. She had a very nurturing air about her that instantly made me feel very comfortable. She told me that I did not need anything to begin with but if I wanted to do something she would recommend restalyn. I liked the fact that she wasn’t try to just sell me on something.
The actual injection was extremely comfortable; I literally did not feel anything. She applied a topical numbing cream and had one injection site that she used to fill the entire area. I was amazed at how easy it was compared to the last time and I wondered what the Doctor had done prior. I experienced no bleeding or bruising the following days.
Today I was able to get out of the shower without having to run to my make –up bag and apply concealer. I felt so thankful that I could look at myself in the mirror without feeling like I looked sickly. I am very satisfied with the Doctors results and would recommend her to my closest friends and family.

Came across through a group on deal. And it was minutes away where I live. They were offering a huge reduction on price for CO2 laser resurfacing. So, I didn’t miss the chance and took the benefit cause I wanted to get rid of my acne scars.
Staff is amazing and so welcoming. They would answer every question you have. They gave a free consultation before my treatment.
They have a wide range of beauty products as well.
The best part about amoderm is THEY DONT TRY TO UPSALE YOU. They dont push you to buy their products. They dont push you to buy multiple treatments or any thing like that that made me real comfortable and happy.
It was a great experience. The results are amazing and I’m really happy with my skin. After one treatment my scars are almost gone.

Found this establishment through groupon deal for laser hair treatment and before purchasing the deal I made a consultation apt first.
The office: clean, parking in abundance, in a medical office/​plaza, the girls at the front reception are super friendly and helpful!
Consultation:
The consultation itself was quick we briefly went over the procedure and Jafari examined place of treatment.
Pricing: they did have a 2016 special going on however, they did accept the groupon pricing (yay)
First appointment: easily got my first apt locked in for the same week. So far everything has been good. In n out within 15 – 20 mins. Little pain at first but it’s all over with before you know it. I recommend applying lidocaine ointment ½hr prior to appt.
1 session down, 5 to go.
I do plan on updating as I finish my 6 sessions.

All of my experiences with Dr. Jafari have been pleasant, professional and I have always loved the results. She is very skilled in the placement of Juvaderm anywhere on the fact to give a more structured, youthful look. I have not tried any of the other services, but Dr. Jafari is excellent and has been the best I have been to with regard to outcome.

I had laser treatment done for my face (for all the years of damage) and the results have been great. My complexion is much better than before. I’ve been getting compliments from everyone about how refreshed and smooth my skin looks.
Dr. Jafari is wonderful about answering all my questions and especially about explaining what I should be expecting during and after the procedure. The staff is very professional and they did a wonderful job. I loved how they are on schedule.

I have been getting Botox and fillers for many years and from many different doctors, mostly in the Beverly Hills and the Newport Beach area. I’ve been exposed to many different doctors, bedside manners and levels of experience and professionalism.
Dr. Jafari is extremely professional and does wonderfully skilled work. She is also a Board Certified Neurologist, so she understands much more than the usual Dermatologist, M. D, Nurse, or Nurse’s Assistant. Not only did Dr. Jafari know PRECISELY what she was doing, she was incredibly warm, welcoming, took her time to really understand what I wanted to achieve, and is a perfectionist.
Other doctors have quickly rushed me into the office, injected me after barely speaking to me and then rushed out, leaving me with an ice pack and a bill.
Dr. Jafari is the great exception that I’ve experienced. She took the time to explain the treatment options available to me, what the process entails, and what to expect afterwards. She did not try to up sell or give me something I didn’t need. She was also sensitive to stay within my budget parameters. Dr. Jafari has a lovely, calm demeanor. She’s an amazing artist and made my visit a wonderful experience. She’s gentle and caring, takes pride in her work and doesn’t go overboard! I highly recommend her!
I am completely satisfied with everything she has done and will be returning to her for future treatments. My husband is a doctor that works with and socializes with many others doctors of all types of specialties, so I have the option of being able to find and choose many different doctors — I choose Dr. Jafari and will be staying with her.

I went to Gravity Med Spa, because I believed all their great reviews, but they did not live up to them with me. The Dr. there was very friendly and sweet though, so I think that might scare people off from saying anything negative against her, including me, the queen of bitchy tell-​it-​like-​it-​happened-​Yelp reviews! But, I actually had to then go to Amoderm, to get an opinion on what Gravity Med Spa had done to me, to see first of all, if I was being too picky, was I correct in what I’m seeing that I don’t like, and if I was correct, then to see if it could be fixed or not.
The Dr. at Gravity Med Spa is really friendly and kind, but she just didn’t have the artistic eye or skill that Dr. Jafari had, or I wouldn’t have ended up with the problem I ended up with. It turns out, I absolutely was correct in seeing the problem I didn’t like, and Dr. Jafari corrected it for me and pointed out some other things that I didn’t realize at 1st, were an issue, but she knows what she is talking about, because they were an issue, and the improvement I got, after agreeing to the correction, is apparent. I’m editing this also, to state that the reason she pointed things out, was because I asked her for her opinion on what else I might need.
She has a great eye for knowing what looks good, even going so far as to request to see pictures of how you looked ten years ago! I’ve never had any Dr. actually care enough to ask for something like that! It makes total sense though and I wonder why more don’t?!
Another thing she did that the other doctor didn’t, was that she asked me to come back in two weeks, because she wanted to make sure the results were good. On the complete flip-​side, Gravity Med Spa did not do this, and when I called them to ask if there was anything I could do, myself, to correct the problem, they simply told me no and did not even offer to see me again over it!
Finding a qualified person on Unilocal,is getting harder and harder, because businesses are starting to pay people to write fake reviews, and I think that’s why I’ve been burned by a lot of places, inspite of their 5-​star reviews on Unilocal.So, with that said, I am lucky I found Dr. Jafari and that she’s the real deal, who deserves 5-​stars, in this sea of fake five-​star-​reviewed businesses. I’m going to use her forever from now on, for all my future «beauty needs».
I forgot to say, she too, is very sweet and friendly, but rather than shy away from no review at all, because I didn’t like her work, I couldn’t wait to let everyone know what a fantastic job she does.
