William O’Connor and Applied Financial has been handling our taxes and financials for almost 20 years. Bill is a tax and financial wizard that has saved us thousands of dollars over the years. I have never worked with a more professional and knowledgeable financial planner and tax return expert. And Sonja has always been there for us to help answer questions and deal with issues that come up during the coarse of the year. We have referred them numerous clients over the years with excellent results. Great knowledgeable firm with integrity that has helped guide and protect our financial interests over the years!

I had two years of experience with Robert and Bill of Applied Financial Planning. Initially found them through one of their advertisements on a local radio station. I found that their commissions are very high and they always steer you into very high load mutual funds, annuities, REITS etc. If I was getting great service for the high fees I might be able to rationalize the cost, but unfortunately they were not prepared when we would meet and they did not follow through on actions. I could list several very detailed examples of things they did wrong but let me suffice by saying that overall, I was very disappointed. If you just need your taxes done, they do a decent job; however there are much better companies that will provide financial planning services. I have since moved my money to another financial planning company that operates as a fiduciary and combines tax planning as an integral part of financial planning. This other company does not get paid on commission either. The comparison between the two companies is night and day.

I have used Bill and his team for 2 years, this year will be my 3rd. They are very efficient to where it only takes about an hour provided I come prepared. They then maximize my return all within the IRS Tax law. This puts my wife at ease and know they’ll stand behind the return should something come up.
