Astoria Auto Detailing Center by i-Detailing

Just dropped off my car at 1pm with Carlos. No issues with contacting Carlos and Matt responded shortly after I emailed to make sure I got in touch with Carlos.
Looking forward to seeing what kind of magic Carlos has and standards at I-​Detailing.
Car was given to them after a filthy trip from Mammoth. Lots of dust, dirt, surface scratches, on top of normal dirt and filth from 3 years of ownership.

Satisfied, but could have been better. Noticed some areas on the hood that could have been cleaned up and lint hanging out in the interior. Nonetheless a 4 star experience considering Livingsocial pricing.
Exterior detail, wash, claybar, wax, buff, interior detail, seat shampoo, spot cleaned an oil stain on a seat, and tire dressing.
I would use again at a discounted price.

They arrived late to meet me and gave the car back late. When picking the car up I checked the truck and noticed that it had not been cleaned at all. I asked if that was not included and the response was «No, it should have been done, but it looks like it wasn’t.»
When I got home I inspected the back seat which still appeared to have some stains. I found these stains easily wiped away with just a towel and hot water. After looking a little closer it was clear to me that they didn’t wash the upholstery at all! They just vacuumed and nothing else! After a few days on the road, it was pretty clear that they didn’t clay bar wax either as they told me they hand indicated they would.
I reached out to one of their representatives who agreed that this was unacceptable, but he thereafter ignored all of my calls and emails. At this point, I’m convinced that this place is a full-​on scam. I’d be surprised to find out that they are still in business.
Luckily, I purchased this deal through Groupon. They actually responded to my inquiries and refunded part of the transaction (still out about $ 60 though). I could have paid $ 15 to my local car wash and gotten the same service.

Be aware do not come here got my car detailed here and you can pay way less at your local car wash and they will do a better job also had my car registration and insurance card taken from my glove box along with my ashtray. When confronted they say they did not open it. When right before I got there I stuck my ashtray in my glove box. Plus you have the worker trying have you call him instead of his boss in which he will do it cheaper with all his bosses stuff he just needs to makes boss is not around. Can’t trust a business like this when the workers are trying to get side jobs behind a bosses back don’t not come here save your money.

Simply put, you’re better off getting a $ 5 gas station car wash. Not even kidding.
Paid $ 120 + tip for a full interior exterior detail. Got there and met up in some Really dark parking garage. Told me it’ll take 4 hours for it to be done which is normal.
Came back 4 hours later, gave a tip, drove out and parked a couple miles away only to find water droplets everywhere; on the wheels, mirror, car itself. Had to wipe off the water myself. It seriously was a 5 minute pressure washer wash with poorly wiped down panels. Interior had extra stains and abrasions it didn’t have before. I still had crumbs near my seatbelt and seat.
I don’t know how you would detail a car in complete darkness. It’s like a blind girl trying to put on make up… you won’t get it looking anything but crusty. You kind of need to see what your looking at in order to detail; light is required. The interior doesn’t include the trunk clearly because it was never opened or even touched.
This is not a legit or fair business at all.
Again, I would be cool with all the extra damage and imperfections left if I had paid like $ 10 at automatic car wash. But this was just impossibly disappointing. It was a 30 minute half assed job that I paid well over $ 100 for and waited 4 hours. I know my car and memorized all the imperfections that I didn’t expect to be removed or fixed; but what I did expect was cleanliness for the obvious untouched areas on both the outside and inside.

While a bit hard to find in its luxury apartment garage location in Irvine, this detailing center is well worth the hunt. They did an outstanding job on my Lincoln MKZ, and the groupon for internal and external detailing made it very affordable.

I purchased a coupon from Living Social for the Diamond Package. I spoke to Matt and told him there were water spots I wanted removed and he said they would be able to remove the spots. I was surprised that this detailing center was run out of a garage below the Astoria apartment/​condo building. I was going to wait for my car and was told it would take «at least 3 ½ hours.» Then he showed me to the apartment lobby to wait. It took 4 ½ hours. When the car was brought up to the valet area, it was parked in the shade. At first glance, I thought it looked good. But after coming home and seeing the car in the sunlight, I noticed that some of the water spots were still there. It did look better, but I could still see some spots. I wonder if the car was parked in the shade to hide the remaining spots. I am not satisfied and will not recommend them to my friends.

The bad: Don’t even try to call them… they won’t answer the phone. You have to really go down there and make an appointment because the phone just rings and rings. They don’t seem to have same day appointments so don’t expect to be able to drop off your car.
The good: Got a detail through groupon or living social and was very satisfied with the detail. I got a clay wax so my car was really smooth after I picked it up. They did a good job overall with the car wash. I’m not sure if it would have been worth the full price of the detail (I’m cheap) but for the discounted rate, I was happy.

My car looks brand new inside and out! This is a hidden gem in Irvine for car detail place. I got a deal online and got a promotion price so I didn’t pay too much. There are groupon and livingsocial deals. It only took about 2 and ½ hr, and I like that you don’t have to wait too long. If you live around this area, you should take an advantage of taking your car here. Friendly guys, always accomadating. You could walk across the street grab some lunch and coffee and hang out and your car will be ready. Customer service was great and I hope these guys get more customers because they know what they are doing. Thanks for a superb job!
