Camden Main & Jamboree

I’ve lived at Camden for a year now and have really enjoyed it. The washer/​dryer in the apartment and the apartment’s layout was a huge selling point for me. Everything is updated and well made, plus the amenities can’t be beat! I feel safe here and the office staff and maintenance crew are friendly and helpful. Location is also perfect — close to shopping centers, the freeway, and great restaurants. A great place to live!

Going on 3 years living here. Loved every minute of it! The staff are so nice and accommodating, and their maintenance crew is top notch! Love living here!

My husband and I moved in several months ago and we absolutely love living here! The only real con that I can think of is that we are on the Main St. side of the complex and traffic can be a bit annoying. We have gotten used to a lot of the noise, but there are still times when it’s a bit much.
The office staff are the best I’ve ever dealt with! The girls are so awesome and sweet! They are helpful and genuinely concerned about a problem you might have. Maintenance is on top of it, too!

Totally worth the $ to be so close to the freeways, have the awesome amenities and staff, as well as have a secure place to live in. There are also several restaurants downstairs that you can walk to!

It is a great community. I have been living here for 6 months and it was not a regrettable decision. It is strategically located near the 405 highway, souplantation and boudin are just a walk away. The apartment is new, and well maintained, I love the kitchen layout with spacious countertop. I love how washers and dryers are located in every unit of the apartment. It has extremely competitive price compared to the common Irvine Company apartments.

We have lived here off and on since the complex first opened in 2008. Our family has moved around a lot since then and we keep coming back because this is the best place to live!
The staff is amazing! Always friendly and willing to help us out! Everyone in the office is fantastic. We have been a challenge for them I’m sure but they always greet us with a warm smile! Maintenance staff is also fantastic! They are friendly and knowledgable. Always prompt with any issue that may arise, always minor issue. The cleaning crew takes such good care of the grounds. Always cleaning and making sure that the grounds look immaculate!
The apartments themselves are gorgeous! So modern and beautiful. We have lived in a few over the years as our family keeps growing so from experience I would say that any apartment you end up with will be fabulous! We enjoy the top floors because we love the gorgeous oc views from our windows! If you are living on the jamboree side they do have triple pane glass to help with traffic noise.
Parking is in a cover garage in the center of the complex. If by chance you park on a different floor then where you live this is no problem because there are elevators on all corners of the parking structure unless you would like to take the stairs.
Amenities are great! The pool is huge. They also have a wet and dry sauna and showers. A large work out room fully equipped and a yoga room. Geez I can go on and on but you should just see for yourself. This place is amazing. Did I mention the awesome theatre room! Yeah we had some friends over for a movie and it was so much fun!

I needed a place to stay while my house was being built. Camden was one of the few places that offered short term lease options. Lindsay was super helpful during the leasing process. She was professional and friendly. The one bedroom I rented had stained concrete floors making it very dog friendly. The only issue I had was parking. Although there’s a 6 level parking structure parking was always 90% full and you had to park on the higher level floors. Not a huge deal but because of the many speed bumps in the garage it would easily take you 10 minutes just to get out of the parking garage.

One of those apartments that TOW people even if you have a pass. Parking is horrible and apartments are really cramp with little privacy (sliding doors that don’t close all the way). The staff here doesn’t care and even has speed bumps installed that wreck your car. Don’t live here unless you want to pay for to have your car towed and an apartments the size of a shoe box :)
Even with a sticker and pass, it looks like you have to take them to court so say goodbye to $ 300+ that your car got towed. Sad that some apartment complexes dot care. It will be funny to see if they respond and differ blame…
Pool is nice and that’s about it.

There are some pros and cons about Camden Main&Jamboree. First off, it’s one of the newer apartment complexes in the area; so the look of the place is modern and visually appealing. I think this is the major draw for most people; I know it was for me. The interior of the apartments is similarly upscale and equipped with luxury amenities such as marble counter tops and stainless steel appliances. Another big positive about these apartments is the responsiveness of their Maintenance dept. On several occasions when I’ve had minor issues, they responded often on the same day and quickly made the necessary repairs.
All of these things being said, I couldn’t wait to get out of my lease when it came time to renew because of the parking situation. At the time I was inquiring about living here, it was mentioned to me that it is mandatory to park in their 5 story parking garage. I didn’t think much of it at the time (or maybe chose to overlook it) as I was pretty impressed with the beautiful aesthetics of this apartment complex, but the parking situation has worn on me over the months to the point that I do not think living here is worth it. For those considering living here, here is what you should know. Unless you’re able to park your car in the garage very early, you likely will need to drive all the way to the top floor of the garage to find a space. This five story climb may not seem bad the first couple of times, but you will likely feel the aggravation shortly thereafter where you find yourself wasting 15 minutes of your day driving up and down a five story garage full of annoying speed bumps. Imagine having to do this each day. Not for me.

The reviews are true. The staff are given stock options, so they have major entitlement issues. My Neighbour was smoking crystal meth from his apartment and when I reached out to management, they told me I could move out with no deduction in security deposit. Despite that, they still charged me for a bunch of non-​sense. They went against their word. So, I will have no choice but to sue them.

I would not recommend living here! There are many better choices for living accomidations within close proximity to Camden… and many new complexes which have been recently built. This place looks appealing at first but you will not know the real issues until its too late and you move in. This is in addition to the extremely high rent which I found excessive and not worth it.
The complex is extremely noisy. The constant slamming of the security door will wake you up early and keep you up at night. There are many rich, party residence and you will be bothered by the noise on a regular basis. In addition the location is at a very busy intersection so there is always contant noise. The parking is horrible, both resident and guest, and the numerous speed bumps will become annoying to you.
Moving in and out of this place is a nightmare. If you use a truck you cant pull it into the parking garage and must move your possessions across the garage, up an elevator which is not oversized for larger items, through the security door before a maze of hallways. Count this into the headaches and costs when considering this place… trust me.
The closet space in the units is rediculous and very unusable. The walk-​in closet has a swing in door that makes half the closet worthless. Some of the units have a sliding door on the bedroom which offers little privacy or noise control and it constantly has issues according to my friend. The washer and dryer in the unit is the small stackable type, makes a lot of noise, and is adjacent to the living room making it very annoying. The appliances are dated and needed regular maintance.
I was not impressed by the management team who was not very nice or service oriented. Many residents complained about them and my dealings with them were not plesant.
Be prepared to be fleeced when you move out as well. Cleaning charges, painting charges, carpet replacement charges will be taken out of your deposit. You would think with such high rents that that would be covered. Prepare for your deposit to go bye bye…
On the bright side, the maintenance crew is great and they did respond quickly. Unfortunately I had to see them on a regular basis… but they are good. The reason for the 1 star I gave is for the them and the ammenaties which are for the most part very nice. The pool gets very little sun because its surrounded by the apartment buildings.
There are many better and cheaper alternatives in the area. Beware!

I recently moved out of here after a couple of years, and I can honestly say that this is the best and nicest experience I’ve ever had at an apartment building. We had to break our lease due to situations out of our control, and the office staff (especially Heather) were extremely helpful. If you visit this place, you will soon realize that it is a terrific place to live. The amenities are top of the line and include a movie theater room that you can use for free in 3-​hour blocks, a gym with towel service, clubhouse with pool tables, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, and jr olympic size swimming pool.
So I can’t comment on anybody’s noise problems here, but I can say that our building and hallway was very quiet and peaceful. I’ve never had to call security or anything like that, but it’s nice to know that they are there if needed. The area is a little bit pricey, but this building is comparable to other buildings in the area (and usually cheaper) and you get way more for your money here. The inside of the apartments are spectacular… not like the ikea furnished Irvine Company building that look like a college dorm room with their laminate press board furnishings.
Sure, towards the end of the night you might have to park a little further up, but what some people don’t realize is that if the parking was assigned, your assigned space might be further up so at least you have the opportunity to get a good spot every day. Plus there is plenty of parking, so that is never an issue.
Overall I would highly recommend living here at Camden Main & Jamboree… and you will love it here too!

I have lived here for the last 2.5 years and could not be more pleased with the experience. This is the absolute best place that I have ever lived and I literally do not have one complaint about the experience thus far. If you’re looking for a place to live in this area, you should definitely consider living here — you won’t regret the decision.

So I don’t leave too many reviews but since I’ve been living here over 3 years now I thought I share why I renew my lease. First is I love the size of the apt. Cement floors contemporary design high ceilings great kitchen and bathroom. Gym and facilities are good. I like the parking situation. Not assigned but always parking for you and friends. No online sign in or anything. Every place has up and downs it’s apartment living but I wouldn’t renew if it wasn’t a good thing. J ps location is great too easy to get around

They never answer their phone. Central calling office in Texas which they can’t help with anything. The dog park is so smelly my dog doesn’t even like it. Drivers are crazy in the parking garage. The pool gets limited sun because it’s surrounded by apartments. If you come home late expect parking on the 5^th level every night. My one star went to maintenance, the manager is awesome. Get locked out after 6pm they charge $ 50 and someone will get to you in a few hours. Just go sit at soup plantation is what they told me.

Honestly, I LOVED living here! I hate Irvine Company apartments… they always look beautiful on the outside and really bad inside. At Camden, the prices are a bit high because it’s a pretty fancy place.
This is what we did to lower the cost: the corner units are 2 BD + Den. We turned the den into a bedroom since it has its own closet and window. All you need to do is install a slidey door or curtain. This way, it’s much more affordable to live here. We had 2 people sharing the master as well, so we paid around $ 2300 split among 4 people.
The amenities are amazing. Great little gym, yoga room, sauna room, steam room, conference center, business center, dog park, etc. Everything is super modern and new. I almost felt like I was living at some resort! I also love their parking structure because finding parking was NEVER an issue. I did have to drive up a few floors especially at night, but that’s way better than not having any parking at all. That was the problem I had at a lot of Irvine Company apartments in the area.
The reason why I still only rate Camden 3 stars is their staff. They are not the smartest or nicest people. It’s very hard to take people off the lease, renew the lease, basically do anything without them messing up. It was super frustrating trying to get off the lease and add someone to replace me, since my roommates wanted to renew the lease. Plus, they are trying to charge us fees for cleaning and repainting when our apartment is perfectly fine. Um, how are you guys gonna repaint the apartment when people are still living in there.

Do not live here. This facility is nice but the prices are way too steep. Also, management here is terrible. The manager Julia doesn’t treat the tenants very well especially if you’re trying to renew the lease.
I felt conned and pressured to renew the lease or else rent would DOUBLE. They said we couldn’t negotiate and that was the «best» price available. Now before my new lease starts the advertised price for the same exact layout is over $ 100 less. All they care about is making commission. Out of all the apartment complexes I lived their customer service is hands down the worst.

Camden is my first apartment that I lived in that is not run by Irvine Company. The amenities here are spectacular! Love the movie theater room and the conference room. I always have study parties in the conference room and the cyber café. Another thing that I love about Camden is the dog park! It is a little smelly but what dog park isn’t ?
The apartment itself is luxurious. I have slated tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms, upgraded appliances, vaulted ceiling, standalone island, and most importantly washer and dryer.
The only downfall I have with my layout is that I don’t have a balcony. And our apartment faces jamboree so it is pretty loud. Other than that I have no complaints!
Maintenance is on point here. They are super friendly and helpful!
Leasing staff for the most part is helpful. I really like Heather. She is super friendly and always has a smile on her face! I’m always afraid to ask the other staff questions cause it seems like I’m bothering them. So I’m always relieved when I see Heather in the office !

We absolutely love living at Camden.
Since moving in, we always opt to meet with friends at our place because we just want to show it off and show our guests all the stellar amenities.
Every last Camden employee exceeds our expectations and are a far cry from all the stories I’m used to hearing about landlord relationships and apartment customer service.
The grounds are beautiful and super well kept. We feel like we’re coming home to a resort. We’re hoping to live here a long time. Camden is awesome!

If you are looking to live with bunch of loud, care free rich kids who party ²⁴⁄₇ and have ABSOLUTELY no respect for any one, you really ought to move to Camden M&J.
We sold our house in June 2013 and rented an apt. at Camden due to the location it’s at. My wife and I are working professionals and both our offices are close by.
Floor plan was nice and we had a nice view, however the noise level is by far the worst you will ever find anywhere else. I had to call their security at 11pm, midnight, 1am, 2am, 3am, and even 4am. Almost every night.
Our upstairs neighbors were always awake, they kept on stomping, and jumping even at 2 in the morning. Loud music was always in the background from different apts, and the neighbors below us was running a club in his apt. Almost every day.
We kept on calling security and he would take action, but problem wasn’t going to be fixed by him.
I called the office and their rude manager called me (Julia C. was her name) and at first she kept on lying to me that the walk way is above us. I proved her wrong as i know the building codes in California.
Her solution for all the noise was to call the cops, and on different occasions she ruled out all the noise as if I was making this up.
Due to constant lack of sleep our health started to deteriorate and I was done.
As Julia was no help, Trisha (another office staff) stepped up and helped out. We cancelled the lease and moved out of that hell.
Trisha was great and deserves a five star. Julia on the other hand should be re-​trained or demoted as she doesn’t know the first thing in customer service.
Parking is bad especially after 8:30pm
Most people who live there are trash, rude, obnoxious and loud.
We moved to Kelvin court and couldn’t have been happier.

I just renewed my lease and I can say that I have been extremely happy living here at Camden. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment with my two dogs on the 4^th floor. I am a student and spend most of my time studying and I must say I have never, not even ONCE, heard a peep from any of my neighbors. DO YOU KNOW HOW RARE THAT IS?! I used to live at an apartment complex owned by the Irvine Company, never EVER again. I moved down to San Marcos, CA for a bit for school and got introduced to Camden Old Creek, this is where I fell in love with Camden. Long story shorter I found this Camden and checked it out.
1. LOCATION
Walking distance to Souplantation, Boudin, Ralph’s, Burger King, Coffee Bean, Chase Bank, Jamba Juice, Rubios, Panera, Togos, Zpizza, CVS with pharmacy, etc). FastXpress Carwash and the Shell gas station are also right next door in case you need to wash and vacuum your car or fill it up. The District is down the street (ton of shops– Costco, Target, Michael’s, In-​n-​Out, TJMAXX, AMC, Bowling, Lowe’s, etc) and Walmart just opened up on Barranca next to JoAnn’s close to Taco Bell. Easy access to the 405 north and south as well.

2. APARTMENT
Very spacious and there are a ton of different floor plans to choose from. I live in the 1 bedroom earth plan and I absolutely love the layout because it’s so different. I believe they offer washer and dryers in each unit, but don’t quote me on that. As stated above the walls are super thick so no noise complaints from me. The appliances have been in perfect working order and the stainless steel makes them easy to clean. The only thing that could be a downfall for somebody is hearing the traffic from Main and Jamboree. I know that might bother some people but when taking into consideration everything else I would say that it is incidental.
3. AMENITIES
I have used every single amenity here and they’ve all been great. The business center is very useful since I’m a student. They recently posted a sign saying kids are no longer allowed in without supervision which I am SO HAPPY about. (Kids were using it to play games and would keep their volume full blast, finally!). If you want to know all of the amenities just look online. My favorites are the dog park, pool/​jacuzzi, and business center. They also now offer a dry-​cleaning service!
*** The movie theatre is awesome for girls nights, you just have to rent it out.
4. MAINTENANCE
Maintenance is amazing, Otto is such a sweetheart as well as the whole team. Requests are usually taken care of same day or at the latest (in my experience) the next day. You can actually request a particular time for your convenience, I didn’t know that till a few months ago… now ya know!
5. PARKING
Parking (since I live on the 4^th floor) has never been an issue for me. My friend Jonathan also lives in this complex on the first floor and he says he doesn’t usually have a problem. He told me there’s only been a few occasions where he got home around 2 am and he had to drive to the 5^th floor, but parking was still available.
6. OTHER RESIDENTS
The residents seem to keep to themselves for the most part, a lot of business professionals live here. I’ve met a few people at dog park and at the pool, they seem to be pretty friendly. Almost everybody seems to be responsible for their pets, it’s rare I see dog poop left on the ground because there are literally dog bags EVERYWHERE. I feel like you actually have to go OUT OF YOUR WAY to be an inconsiderate %$#@#$* to not pick up after your dog here.
7. TRASH/​MAIL/​SECURITY
Trash shoots are located in the garage at every parking level for you to throw your garbage out. I just take mine out every time I go to my car, it’s pretty simple. Mail is located on the first floor of the parking garage with designated parking spots to pick it up. The building is incredibly safe, almost too safe. You need the fob to get into the building as well as to go up the elevator. I have locked myself out of the building twice since I have lived here, luckily it was during the daytime! Best thing about the safety of the building? No unwanted visitors! Negative? You have to let in your visitors
Summary —
I would definitely highly recommend living here. The prices are comparable to other similar apartments in the area but the quality can’t be beat. The location is prime and the amenities offered (dog park, saunas, movie theatre, etc) are rarities here in Irvine.
