While I did give proper notice of vacating my lease, u have not addressed your failure to «turn my apt» in a timely matter. Nor have I been contacted about the end result of my deposit charges, as u stated. Also no one has returned my call regarding the 245.00 water bill i got as a result of your water main break under our building. Nor have u addressed Irvine Company Apartments and Cedar Creek’s lack of due diligence in re-​leasing my apt. The applicant I provided did NOT have «less than stellar» credit as u stated. He was merely an international citizen with international credentials. He was able to provide more than adequate income verification and documentation to warrant a fair housing price for a deposit. In addition to that, u have not addressed making my daughter and I move out, becoming HOMELESS, prior to a new lease being signed. Your policy of vacating 5 days prior to new tenant moving in, before a lease is even signed, is what made us homeless. I would not have moved out if I had known u were going to make it impossible for my tenant to qualify. I have spoken with several of Cedar Creek’s tenants who told me they were moving too, as a result of the rediculous rent increases EVERY YEAR! With the amount of vacant units u have and the amount of vacancies upcoming, I find it even more malicious that u chased off my tenant, to take over my lease. There is no excuse for what has happened here. Your policies should not be putting families out in the street, rendering them homeless. It’s very clearly, poor business judgement, management and corporate decisions that have put, Cedar Creek Apartments and The Irvine Company in contention for a lawsuit. Have a great day!

I have been living in Cedar Creek for almost a year now and in the process of renewing my lease. This is a bit overdue but it’s mainly about the maintenance staff, Christian and Billy are very efficient and respond to requests in a timely manner. They also follow up with any request if it was passed on to a specialist to make sure that the job is done well. The leasing office staff are always helpful with all types of requests and issues.

I’ve never been mad enough to write on Unilocal until now. Cedars Creek won’t give me my deposit back… I moved out mid Feb, 2015 and I still haven’t received my deposit… called them 5 times and their corporate office 3 times!!! Still nothing…
I heard this line 3 times, «we will make some calls and will call you back the next day.» Never got a call back… The third time was from the general manager! She even said, «I promise».
(FYI, I had to take a 15 minute break to calm down)
Can I get my deposit back?
Oh yea… Apartments have very thin walls
Don’t park under pine trees
Almost $ 4 to wash and dry
Clothes go missing in the laundromat
Watch out for kids playing ball or skateboarding
Plenty of parking

Cedar Creek apt is simply amazing. First of all they all are extremely polite and friendly. They ALWAYS do their best to help you. Their apartments are really clean and they make sure everything works properly. I love living in cedar creek. They truly make me love where i live! Thanks to u all.

Moved in to cedar creek apts late last year and after coming from out of state finding Chris and Elissa was a pleasant and professional leasing experience. They were both clear and communicative throughout the whole process. Also, both stayed on top of things providing me with all contacts and information regarding my move, truly making it a relief. I give them 5 stars! The apartment was presented to us very clean but after a 3 months of living here we have noticed little details that I think should have been 100% from day one… Electrical outlets need to be replaced about 90% of them, of course things that we found after moving there, it’s annoying to have your plugged in items fall off the socket. this is just one item from a list I have regarding the maintenance of the unit. So I give 3 stars to the maintenance for not staying on of the obvious things that maintenance should’ve done and I will expect them to be fix it when I contact them. overall a good place to live and a positive experience, happy family here.

I toured Cedar Creek and Cross Creek with Elyssa. Although I ended up leasing at Irvine Company’s San Marco Villa complex, I had an awesome experience working with her! Elyssa is professional, highly knowledgeable of the units/​surrounding OC area, and flexible on time (especially for someone like me touring apartments on my lunch break). Having just moved to the OC from the Bay Area, Elyssa even gave me great hot-​spots to check out in helping me adjust to the area. I would definitely recommend checking out Cedar Creek and Cross Creek, and asking for Elyssa when you do so!

This review is solely for today’s experience…
Chris came by today and provided us with a bucket of goodies for winning the «Spookiest Patio Award»: a competition that management put on that judges Halloween decorations on tenant patios. Having an 8-​year-​old daughter, we always go a little nuts for Halloween, but it was cool to get an award!

Update:
The bed bugs dwindled to nonexistence thanks to our generous application of diatomaceous earth. Finally we were transferred to another apartment. I am very pleased with the way the transfer went.
Sebastian is no longer the leasing manager here. Instead, Chris spearheaded the transfer process. Although we have only dealt with Chris during the transfer and not the trying bed-​bug era, I was very impressed at how kind and understanding he was during the process.
The transfer was easy. Our new apartment is refurbished. Chris made sure that everything was flawless and helped us immediately when we called him. He is very reachable by phone and communicates constantly, which is a big difference from the elusive leasing manager before.
Since I work from dawn til dusk, I wasn’t able to return my old keys during the leasing office’s open hours for a couple days. Chris was patient and gently reminded me without becoming aggravated.
I’m just very happy with the way things went. I’m so glad things turned around and grateful I was able to update this review to a positive one.

I moved in last September with my brother, and the both of us had a great time here. We’ve recently moved out because he got a job in San Francisco, and I’m gonna be heading overseas to run my business in Thailand pretty soon. During our stay, my brother worked by John Wayne Airport, and I worked from the apartment developing iOS Apps, so I spent a great deal of time within the community. I’ve read the other reviews for this place, and they mostly complain about the noise. On a few occasions, some teenagers would congregate around the fence of the creek and talk to each other between 6pm-​8pm, but it never really bothered me or my brother. It was almost completely quiet after 8pm, and if there was still noise, it’d be from little kids just having fun riding around on their bikes. Most of the time, their parents would have them come in before it was dark.
The amenities were definitely the best part of my stay here. I’m not much of pool person, but I had a fun time going down there every once in a while. The laundry facilites were very nice, and I never had to wait for an open washer/​dryer. When my brother moved up to San Francisco, he accidentally took the mail key with him. I told the staff, and they were really friendly about it. I must of borrowed their «spare» about 6 or 7 times! All things considered, me and my brother really enjoyed living here, and the both of us would live here again if we ever moved back to Irvine.
P. S. I see that another reviewer complained about a bug problem. From move-​in to move-​out, me and my brother never experienced any bug problems???

My girlfriend lives here so I come here often. This place isn’t too bad, I just don’t like that there are people above us who are really loud of the walls are just thin. We can hear them running or jumping almost everyday. And it’s also weird that there is only 1 restroom for 3 people. The layout is not bad and looks like most Irvine rental apartments. Good location because it’s close to food places, grocery store, and the 405 and 5 freeway.

Walls are thin, windows are single pane, it gets noisy if you are on the street or near the pool. People jump over the fence and enjoy the jacuzzis all night long at your sleep expense. The security team will not respond. The only way to get them out is to call the cops every single night. Management are nice but won’t do anything, complaine 100 times and they respond in a pc manner like robots. You can’t move out on your own terms, it is when it is convenient for them. Your lease is up and you want to move out? Noooo «we have reach our quota for that month, you can move out in 3 months» shocking
