Pulled up and asked if I get the Ultra Luxury car wash for $ 40 can they make sure they take off the water marks, meaning just go over the car for a minute or two after drying it to make sure there are no water marks. I mean this is a car wash after all right? Answer from Ramon, who is quite rude: «it’s going to go through the tunnel wash so it will leave water marks what do you want me to do?» At that point I said when your drying the car just make sure it doesn’t leave water marks and he said it will leave water marks. I left. This just happened 15 minutes ago on 06÷22÷16. 2016 Mercedes S550.

I used to always come here but not sure what happened recently. The person who takes the order has been grumpy the past 3 visits. The quality of the cleaning has deteriorated.
Recently I brought in my brand new Fiat for it’s first cleaning. Now the inside is stained from the dirty towels used. I’ll have to get another cleaning just to make up for this one. Very disappointed as to how things have turned out here.

This place has definitely gone downhill. Came for a Super wash which includes triple wax. I brought my son and he wanted to watch it being washed, so we watched together. Good thing I did because I noticed my car didn’t get the wax.
I told the cashier and they put it back through but I had to wait in line behind 5 cars.
If you come here, just make sure you watch it.

Quick $ 17.99 hand car wash! You get a slip, go inside, pay, come out and wait while texting and boom, your car is done. If you need cash to tip the dryers you can ask the cashier!
Yes, they miss spots so they don’t get 5 stars but to be fair, my car was not in the best of shape because I literally had no time to ever make it to a hand car wash and some of the grime had been sitting there from camping and bug grime and who knows what.
Now that I know the place is decent, I’ll be coming back for the more premium services!

Quality of the wash is not consistent here. I measure the quality by how the workers clean my wheels as the body of the car is generally clean at any car wash place. Washes have come quite expensive here now as they definitely have raised prices over the years.

Good service! Chuck the owner is so nice! He’s the owner and he makes sure your car is in good hands. We got the «super» service for $ 22.99 with wax, exterior & interior clean and tire wax. I always go here whenever my husband goes because of their free gourmet coffee! All in all, I will definitely recommend it. Fast service btw too.

My sister and I came in to get a standard car wash for her. So I’ve read the reviews here, and what they say is pretty true. The car HAND washes are rushed, and there were multiple marks still all over the car, barely vacuumed, and the dashboard still dusty. This place is literally an in and out thing, and you would be better off at a gas station automatic car wash, or even doing it yourself cuz the money isn’t worth it.
The place has a little gift shop/​waiting room which is nice, but we were only waiting 15 minutes minimum, and that’s not enough time to fully wash a car inside and out. I won’t be coming back, and would rather go to a car wash where they ACTUALLY clean the car and it’s worth the money.

I paid $ 30 for a carwash and nothing was done to my car besides getting it wet and then dried.
The inside was only slightly vacuumed. The dashboard still had dust all over. The outside of the car still had tons of dirty marks.
Trust me, do not come here unless you want to get ripped off. The name says it all. All they do is hurry up to dry the car. If you go 2 blocks down to Barranca and Lake they will wash your car spot free for less than half price.
I normally don’t complain, because it’s normal to miss a few spots here and there. But to pay $ 30 and nothing being touched is a highway robbery.

Usually in and out within 20 – 30 mins. $ 17.99 does the trick. Pretty chill car wash in a low key area. Lots of chairs to relax on while you wait. They have a lot of workers.

This is the last time I bring mine or my family’s car to Checkered Flag. The first time my car was covered in water spots and the interior door sill hadn’t even been wiped off. I then gave a second chance, and the same thing happened. I had told myself I wouldn’t go back again, but in a desperate need for a wash I went back the other day. My car still had patches of bird droppings and dirt across the the trunk of the car. To put it over the edge, a family member had brought their car in earlier and it didn’t look or feel clean. I was able to wipe the dirt off the car and see a streak on my finger. We will not be returning to Checkered Flag.

First time here… was not impressed with the car wash. It was $ 22.49 for a wash, vacuum, clean the inside, dressing and air freshener. My biggest pet peeve is paying for a service that I don’t get. There was no air freshener added!!! When I got home and looked over the wash the car was still dirty from the back lower bumper. The was super fast and not worth the $ 22.49!!!

We just left this car wash and they did such a horrible job. They charge $ 20 to do a standard car wash plus tire dressing. The car wash is supposed to include the inside along with the outside. They did not wipe down the inside of the car at all. They didn’t wipe the windshield at all either and kept my windshield wipers on so when we turned on the car they were on and made the windshield splotchy.
This place is a waste of money and time. I would never go back.

I’ve been coming here for years and have gotten good service. People are friendly and helpful. Sometimes the night miss a spot, but they always gladly correct it. Once they lost a floor mat clip when detailing my car and they reimbursed me for it with no problem when I brought the receipt. Thanks Chuck!

Pretty good car wash. I usually get the «super» wash which is the cheapest they offer and the car comes out perfect. Problem here sometimes is that while the car is going through the wash the guys inside don’t scrub the full car, but when it’s done if I’m not satisfied I make them wash it again and they don’t make too much of a fuss about that (only had to do that once).

I paid $ 27 for a $ 10 wash. They didn’t even clean the side mirrors or the rims. I had to ask them to clean inside the back window (which still wasn’t done properly) and only 2 tires had tire dressing. I purposely came here at 10:20 to beat the crowd, but they still rushed my car. $ 27 for a «luxury wash». I’d advise you go somewhere else

They always do a good job when I bring my car in and the price is reasonable for full service. The wash is great and the people there are polite and friendly. I’m there once a month. They also offer detailing and wax for your car. There’s a cute store with all kinds of different things to buy. I would recommend without hesitation.

I was very happy with the $ 17.99 wash and extra interior detailing for $ 19. Got all the dust out of the Jeep. They missed a few places like the trunk but all you have to do is point out all the places that need attention and they will happily clean it!
Would come again when in town.

I am going to preface this review by saying I used to visit Checkered Flag Carwash regularly when I lived in Irvine a few years ago and to this day I still recommend them to my guests staying at the hotel I work at nearby.
Today I was in the area and needed a quick car wash so I decided to stop and get it washed. This by far was the biggest mistake of the day.
When I pulled up I saw lots of cars being worked on as well as a line to get washed and was going to skip it, but they are pretty quick so I went ahead. I ordered the luxury wash and asked the attendant to please remove the sticker residue from my windshield where the temporary registration was placed.
I paid $ 26.99 for the luxury wash, after waiting about 20 – 25 minutes my car was completed I got in my car to leave. The first thing I noticed was the sticker residue was still there. I didn’t feel like complaining so I left.
As I was driving away I noticed that the dashboard was dusty as was the radio display almost like it was wiped down with a dirty towel. I also noticed the driver side mirror was not cleaned (it had water spots from a rouge sprinkler that attacked my car). When I arrived at my next destination I discovered the casing for the driver mirror was still spotted. There were also fingerprints on the passenger window.
As I was eating lunch I was getting more and more annoyed that I spent almost $ 30 including tip and my car was not washed to my expectations.
After lunch I decided to call the car wash and speak with the manager. He did invite me back and he personally fixed some of the issues, I did feel bad and was tired of spotting out more and more issues that I told him it was good and left. I do appreciate the manager trying to fix the issues especially taking the time to do it himself! However, I think to resolve the issues as they continued to be pointed out to him, it would have been easier and probably better to rewash the vehicle versus trying to wipe the areas.
I can honestly say Checkered Flag Carwash has gone downhill and I probably won’t visit them again nor recommend them to guests staying at our hotel.

Now let me tell you, my car was filthy before I took it here. Yup, a combination of rain, T-​storms, and the negligence of a car wash in probably 2 months will do it but Checkered Flag did such a great job in getting my baby all spunky clean! I drove up at 8am and was in and out of there within 20 mins. The location is huge! and they have an awesome gift shop. like i swear they sell everything in there. and its not those crappy gift shops that you usually see. this one was a full on shop. great way to kill time, amiright??!
I opted for the ‘Super’ package for $ 21.99 which consists of 100% hand car wash, triple polish wax, tire dressing, air freshener, vacuum and cleaning dash/​console. It’s an additional $ 1 for small trucks/​SUV/​mini and $ 2 for large trucks/​SUV/​vans. I’m a fan because of the sheer fact that I can get in and out of there in no time for a great value and they do a good job too! They missed a spot towards the bottom of my vehicle but no problem, all you have to do is tell them and they’ll clean it right off for you. I mean, I’m not expecting a PRISTINE, SPOTLESS JOB.
