I frequent this place about once a week and it’s an AWESOME deal for the price. Some of the food is a hit and miss for me. They have amazing egg salad squaw sandwiches and their BLTA is tasty! I tried their specials like the Clam chowder and Stir Fry but wasn’t a big fan. The owner of the restaurant is very kind and she definitely remembers everyone! It’s a good place to go for the price!

This breakfast spot has been a lifesaver since I started working nearby. For right around $ 5, they serve me up a big ol’ omelet stuffed with bacon or ham, mushrooms, bell pepper, tomatoes and onions. It also comes with a side of toast or hash browns but I always go toast because they have squaw bread. Squaw bread is delicious and it isn’t easy to find it out in the wild, making this place even more worthwhile for some great morning eats.

I walk over to Checkers Sandwich at least twice a week. I normally get the BLTA(BLT add avocado) on sourdough and the other day I got the salad bar. The salad bar is do-it-yourself and it is weighed after to come up with your total bill. All of the ingredients are tasty. This place is cheap, good, and fast. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area!

Hands down the best sandwich/burger place ever! They have a variety of options for a Great price. Food is delicious and affordable, would come here for lunch everyday of I could. The service is great too. I forgot my purse here on accident once so I called them right after and the cashier kept it for me! Overall, great food and great customer service for a reasonable price!

Checkers is not a four star lunch destination. The salad bar is generally fresh. There were several healthy options available; however, Checkers is really a sundries store set inside a building. I purchased two things a small salad(I wasn’t going to leave hungry after walking a half mile for what was supposed to be a four star sandwich) and a vanilla flavored protein bar. It was only at checkout that I saw the cash only sign. They do have an ATM conveniently located nearby for customer use(at a steep fee). The salad I enjoyed was fresh but only so so. The tomatoes weren’t fully ripe and the salad was mostly Hearts of Romaine. I DONOT recommend this restaurant for anything more than a Snapple and a Powerbar; there are PLENTY of other actual four star Unilocal sandwich spots in the area.

It’s a little hidden but great good! I ordered the tower sandwich and it came out amazing! Huge portion too! Definitely will come back! Cons: I had to pay $ 1.50 for parking though so that’s a minus point…

I worked part-time for one of the building tenants for about two weeks and made it a note to try this place out when I found it was located in the building. I can see why this place gets such rave reviews. Cheap, good, and fast. I got the salad bar twice and loaded it up so much and it came out to under 10 dollars. The salad bar is do-it-yourself and it is weighed after to come up with your total bill. The beets at the salad bar are really good(tangy and sweet) and they have a nice selection of pastas as well. But I docked off a star because while the salad bar is great, it is the typical salad bar you would find at a buffet or sizzlers and the only protein options were beans and what consisted of chicken that looked a tad too dry for me. But definitely worth checking out if you are in the area!

Great place! Vegetarian delight on squaw bread is fantastic! My buddy said his egg salad on squaw was the best he had ever had, and he is an egg salad master. VERY friendly service as well!

Okay, so getting to Checkers is tough if you don’t actually work in the building. But it’s worth it. The sandwiches are amazing and cheap. The cashier woman is very friendly, everything comes out very quickly.

Been here quite a few times prior to my Unilocal days and it’s always been good. I usually order the burgers and have tried the Thursday Spaghetti Meat Ball special. Food is great for the price and convenience of working within walking distance. Salad bar looks fresh and well stocked. They charge $ 4.95 /lb. for the salad bar. Chili Fries are on par with the Hat, especially at $ 3.95! The chili is well seasoned and the fries they use are crinkle cut for that added texture of holding onto the chili and cheese. Watch out dieters as this chili fries is at least a 2 person sized order!

I have a client in this building, so when I come do their audit I always eat here! Pros: –Delicious food, always consistent and good quality –Cheap and amazing portion sizes, I never leave feeling hungry –Fast/Convenient — I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes when it was packed and that’s only because my onion rings were being freshly made… worth the wait! –So many options — the daily specials are amazing, I’ve tried them all, but then so are the grilled cheese sandwiches, burgers, and stuff pitas… you really can’t go wrong. I’ve also come for breakfast, and the breakfast burrito is AMAZING! And super filling –I’m guessing the owner(cause she’s ALWAYS there), is this Asian lady that speaks spanish, she’s so animated and just looks like she’s always having a blast… also, she can count back change fast than anyone I’ve ever seen! Cons: THEREARENONE! Seriously if you work near or in the atrium… you gotta check this place out for breakfast or lunch, you will not be disappointed.

Very good sandwich shop to go to during lunch. I enjoyed a sandwich made by them which I believe was pastrami and it was delicious. My company goes here once in awhile when we have a big meeting. We cater all kind of food off their menu and no complaints from any of the employees. I say 5 star GO!

Checkers Sandwich was my go-to lunch spot when I temped for a law firm in the same building. I was battling a cold during my short tenure at the firm, so I usually ordered the daily soup which included chicken noodle, corn chowder and cream of potato. The corn chowder was my personal favorite: very rich, creamy and flavorful. Although the portions were on the meager side, I found the soup hearty and it helped power me through the remainder of the work day, so there’s that. I tried the salad bar once. The options were limited and the ingredients didn’t taste all that fresh, especially the lettuce. Admittedly, I stopped by this place around 1 p.m. after the lunch rush when the pickings were slim. The Korean owner who runs this unpretentious, modest shop is very friendly. She always greeted me with the brightest smile which I looked forward to after being cooped up inside the office all morning. Affordable prices. Daily entrée specials. Cash only.

Parking is a pain but indicative of whole area I had the turkey melt which was bland but had a lot of turkey for the price. The crinkle fries were really good. My colleagues Club sandwich was excellent and a generous portion of food. Their daily specials looked excellent, will return. Good food, good prices !!

I also worked near Checkers, which distinguished itself from the other office complex eateries because it had a grill and because of their rotating menu of «entrees,» half of which were Asian dishes. The grill was great because we could get hot burgers, hot dogs, grilled cheeses, and fried items. They were nothing special but they were affordable and a hot burger loaded with avocado and bacon is nothing to sneeze at. I rarely got their entrees and their salad bar was pitiful but it was there if it interested you.

Great spot for a ‘grab-n-go’ lunch, especially for people who work in the area. FOOD: Their sandwiches are awesome. Just take a look at the pictures posted. Good portions, good quality, and affordable prices. I usually get their Roast Beef sandwich on a wheat french roll, the cost is $ 4.50 Their rolls are fresh and fluffy, makes for a great sandwich, and sandwiches are served with a pickle on the side. Now, there’s also a Subway and Quiznos down the street, so why do I choose to go to Checkers instead? Because although sometimes I prefer to fill up on the larger portions of a Subway sandwich, the sandwiches at Checkers are made with higher quality meats, cheeses, and breads, and at about half the price of a Quiznos sandwich. The owners are extremely nice and will customize your sandwich(added sprouts, cucumbers etc), free of charge. Sometimes, quality just beats quantity… what can I say. Their daily specials are also awesome. Monday’s feature their Chicken/Beef Teriyaki bowls served over a helping of white rice + a side salad. I would highly recommend this if given the opportunity. OVERALL: Good food, affordable prices, and as always service with a smile :)
