Dr. Werlin’s expertise and knowledge along with his tremendous enthusiasm is wonderfully remarkable and invaluable. He is positive, honest and such a source of comfort when traveling down this difficult road. His nurse, Anne Chun, is beyond words in my opinion. She is so good at what she does and is truly one of the most genuine, warm people I have ever met. And to have her on this journey with us has been absolutely priceless. They are both the best you’ll find out there and the ones you want to travel the fertility road with. Promise!
This was my third round of IVF — my first two rounds were at a different clinic but Coastal Fertility is where my pregnancy finally happened (I’m 12 weeks today!). I must say that not only did I do my first two rounds at a different clinic but I also met with and interviewed other fertility doctors before coming to Dr. Werlin and felt awful leaving those other clinics. I felt pressured, like I was just a number or I was too old and those are the worst feelings when it comes to trying to have a baby. Dr. Werlin and Anne made me feel like I should feel — like a person who mattered to them and that they would do everything they could do to help my husband and I be parents. And they did — 100%. They were there and rooting for us every step of the way. I was terrified to try for a third time but felt like I was going to have the best care and monitoring possible and I did. I also felt like the process was very controlled and I didn’t feel like that at the other clinic. I must add that my husband and I had some difficult decisions to make and I recall our very first meeting with Anne as we started our journey here where I cried the entire hour we met with her. I never felt judged (I wasn’t!) or like I couldn’t ask a 1,000 random questions (and I did!). I was also the girl that needed to constantly talk things through throughout this journey — my emotions, the procedure, general questions, you name it — and I can’t tell you how many times Anne stayed on the phone with me for significant amounts of time to help me through, literally, everything.
The miles traveled on the 405 from Long Beach to Irvine and back were countless and completely and utterly worth it. We are exactly where we set out to be — on the road to parenthood. I am extremely grateful for Dr. Werlin and Anne and I can’t say that enough.

Staff is very unorganized. Had to request new patient paperwork three times in order to get it. I don’t have the time to call every day to ensure that their staff is doing their job properly and sending patients out new patient paperwork. I think that by the third call I should have given up then as well. Then once I received it I submitted paperwork same day. They needed my records from my previous physician but due to the time short frame of them providing me my paperwork my other office was not able to provide. So now my appointment is today and they have canceled my appointment due to not having my paperwork. All I wanted was pricing and they either said I get a second free opinion or I need to pay $ 250 which I don’t think it’s fair just to get a pricing on their services. It is funny that they can take their time sending me necessary paperwork but when mine doesn’t come in on time my appointment gets canceled and no other questions asked. Taking days off work is already hardship enough. Now I took a day off which is wasted and a loss of money. It is hard enough dealing with infertility let alone an unorganized company that is supposed to help you. Please be aware when choosing this company. I’m sure there are many more more organized companies out there. I will definitely be sharing my experience with the community I live in who is also dealing with this as we are very tightknit as well. If their first line staff is not able to be organized, it already puts a bad taste in my mouth about trusting the rest of the staff with such a delicate situation.

I am one of Dr. Werlin’s cancer patient. I was diagnosed with cancer three months ago and to that my chance of having kids is unlikely. I went in to meet with Dr. Werlin uncertain with what to expect out of this; everything was happening so fast.
I remember pulling up to the facility for the first time, and saying to myself «wow, this is nice». Inside of Dr. Werlin’s office had pictures, dolls of him, his staffs, and of course I knew right away he loves Rolling Stones. I knew I would like it here. I met with him one on one and shared my stories and my goals. Dr. Werlin too shared his. He explained everything that I needed to know about the procedure and what to expect. He even reached out to my oncologist personally to keep them updated with my procedures; which I highly appreciate. Right after I met with the financial adviser that day I drew blood and started my process right away.
I did everything that I was instructed to do to moved forward. I started my injections and before I knew if I was into surgery. I am happy to announce that I was able to freeze 22 eggs!!! THANK YOU!!!
After the surgery I remember my bf saying, «All doctors needs to be like Dr. Werlin, he’s positive, takes pride of what he does and loves what he does» and I absolutely agree.
I am excited to meet with Dr. Werlin again when I’m cancer free and is ready to move to the next step.

I am a long time patient of Coastal fertility. Anyone going into the process of doing IVF should know that it’s not an easy process to begin with and people should be prepared for that. Not everyone gets pregnant right away and it can take a few cycles to get it right. Each person is different and Coastal Fertility and Dr. Werlin works with you to get you pregnant. You have to stay diligent and positive and know that it will happen.
I had gone somewhere else first and didn’t feel comfortable with the office and after I visited Coastal Fertility I felt instantly at home. The staff is always the same and always positive and happy which really makes a huge difference when going through this tough process. I went through a few cycles before we got it right and I got my first daughter. It was hard on the body, so for the second we did IUI which was a lot less of a process and on my second try I’m now in my second trimester and just graduated!
The staff is great, from the nurses, to Maria and Sandy, and of course Dr. Werlin who always makes you feel great when you come in. I’ve read some of the other reviews, and after the years of being a patient I never had a problem with communication on procedures or billing. I’m sure it can happen especially if you are lucky enough to have insurance that actually covers infertility since most doesn’t. Still, I never found them disorganized. It’s unfortunate that that’s the complaint when this office of professionals really do a fantastic job and Dr. Werlin is an expert at what he does and truly loves what he does. His passion really shows. If you ever want to know how people really feel, you should attend one of the halloween bashes they have every year and see all the beautiful children he’s personally responsible for bringing into this world.

I could write a very long review about how amazing Dr. Werlin is but because of him I have two kids to take care of and don’t really have the time. Only did one round of IVF with ICSI in 2011 and ended up with 4 perfect embryos. Conceived my first son on my fresh cycle (2011) and my second son with a FET (2014). Dr. Werlin and all of the nurses are amazing. I cried both times when I «graduated» at 12 weeks. They are so caring and are available to answer any question any time. Dr. Werlin will be honest with you about what he can and cannot do. Insurance partially covered my fresh cycle and no insurance with my FET. I was never confused either time about what we would be paying.
I think he has a free monthly meeting where you can go and meet him and his staff and find out more info. I would definitely send my friends and family to him.

Dr. Werlin and his staff are wonderful! They have great bed side manners and they treat their patients with love and care! He and his staff take the time to explain every question and concern that we had. As far as billing/​insurance and other administrative processes, staff was very helpful and friendly! Everything was explained thoroughly as we wanted to make sure we understood the financial part of it. Dr. Werlin would personally give us a call to provide us any information on our results or updates. Depending on our needs, his nurses would call us back on the same day or the following morning. It was a pleasant experience and I would recommend Coastal Fertility. We now have a cute, little, bubbly 2 year old boy!

I suggest Unilocalers and potential clients look at other reviews, as well as success rates for different procedures and amount of embryos transferred. The success rate is very low. The methods used are questionable. If there is any inquiry regarding an error, no rectifying solutions are discussed, and the patient is sent away with no options, no explanations. I would love to leave a negative five stars.

«Please take your buisness elsewhere, this fertility clinic is not very ethical and will not share in the responsibility if they make a mistake. They are disorganized, and make a lot of mistakes, from billing, to communication of important information, to procedures.“They over charged me $ 500 and did give it back only after I complained about it a few times. Omg what a horrible experience overall. Sadly the good reviews, close location to work and years of practice is what made me choose them, but I really regret not using Pacific reproductive center in Newport. Ugh!

Our experience with Dr. Werlin and his staff have been nothing but positive. He’s been practicing for over 30 years and I can tell he loves what he does. What I liked about the office was Dr. Werlin called me for all my blood work results and medication dosages. There were no confusion or second guessing. He and his staff were there rooting for me all the way.!! I’m 42 years old and had 1 cycle of IVF treatment completed at Dr. Werlin’s office and I’m now pregnant!!! Believe me, it wasn’t a smooth road getting here. I had nightmare doctors and had an unsuccesful IVF treatment and FET so I was so thankful when I starting going to Dr. Werlin.

I went through a cycle in 2014 with this clinic. The medical staff of Dr. Werlin and my assigned nurse JoJo was ok but after going to another clinic I had much better results. I had 32 eggs retrieved and 5 embryos after 5 days which needed to be PGD tested. PGD testing however was not favorable. In comparison, with another clinic I had 25 eggs retrieved, 18 mature, 18 fertilized through ICSI and after 5 days we had 15 embryos go for PGD testing. A huge difference from our protocol with Dr Werlin. The CFO Maria had no clue what she was talking about and could never explain things in a way you could understand. We asked questions and when she didn’t know the answer she just said, «nobody has ever asked me that question before» instead of saying «let me check on that and get back to you.» We were constantly charged for items that were not discussed up front. I had already met my deductible through my insurance and yet I was still paying close to full price for items. If you are going through insurance for your ivf cycle this will be a nightmare for you. Close to 7 months later and I am still receiving bills for things which I had paid up front. One thing that Maria always says if you are going through insurance is that 90% of patients are self pay. She almost says this to make you feel like you are somehow not as important or that she shouldn’t be good at her job in describing what will and will not be covered as part of insurance. Be careful too because they sometime contract out lab tests which can cost you more money. I did not appreciate not being told about this in advance. I had to cancel my credit card in November of last year because Maria had double charged us for $ 750 without my consent just because they had my credit card on file. I immediately called the office and after their review they sent me a check for $ 750. Had I not been diligent in checking my credit card statement they would have gotten over on me which I DO NOT appreciate. No apology or anything. We happened to have much greater success and I am pregnant through another clinic but I thought Dr. Werlin was good. The front desk clerk (Nancy??) could smile from time to time which would lighten up the office. Just my $ 0.02.

I agree with what everyone else has said about Dr. Werlin & his staff. My husband and I consulted with another fertility doctor first, but we just didn’t feel like they had our best interest in mind. I’m so glad we found Dr. Werlin. We had an amazing experience with the result we were looking for. Upon our recommendation several of our friends have also gone to Dr. Werlin, and they have all expressed to me their satisfaction. Unfortunately doctors cannot perform miracles, but I feel comfortable saying that during your desperate time you will have a good experience here.

After two years of trying on our own, with no positive pregnancy test, my husband and I were beginning to get concerned. It was an emotional roller coaster the first two years. We had no known problems, young, healthy and everything seemed perfect but it still was not happening. We had unexplained infertility. We visited our doctor in hopes of an answer and were told to try Clomid for a few months. Those months came and went, again with no success.
Finally we were ready to make the jump to a fertility specialist and after a lot of research, Dr. Werlin was our answer. His reviews and reputation was astonishing! We went for our consultation, not knowing what to expect and we were pleasantly surprised. He walked us through the entire process, testing as well as our options. We decided to try a medicated IUI first and I truly appreciate Dr. Werlin’s aggressive approach, especially since our FIRST IUI was a SUCCESS!
The entire process was a whirlwind but the entire staff was there for us. I could call our nurse with my many crazy questions and always got a response that day. Everyone in the office is always upbeat and friendly. Dr. Werlin was always in a great mood, positive and to the point (which I appreciated). I would recommend Coastal Fertility to anyone! Thank you helping us conceive our two little miracles!

I do give Costal Fertility clinic as number one World Wide. Dr. Werlin is an amazing doctor in treating his patients with love and full respect. Dr. Werlin is the best doctor in the world. God Bless Dr. Werlin and his family.

I am so glad I found Coastal Fertility I was referred by a friend that had a successful cycle. Dr. Werlin and his team are very compassionate when it comes to dealing with this difficult journey. What makes Dr. Werlin special from the rest of the doctors I’ve met is his approach he calls daily with test results and is always there to answer my questions. The nurses are very caring especially Lisa. I am so glad I chose them. Dr. Werlin truly loves his job and he is great at what he does! I definitely recommend this facility. I have just graduated (that’s what they call it) and I am now 3 months pregnant I am going to miss them so much. They are fantastic!

Coastal Fertility and Dr. Werlin are the best of the best! So compassionate and caring. I felt like we were in the best hands from the very first appointment. We got pregnant on our very first IUI cycle. Dr Werlin is the BEST!!!

My wife and I couldn’t be happier with the quality of care of Dr. Werlin and his staff. Suffice it to say there is a difference between their facility and others. To make a very long story somewhat shorter, my wife and I attempted our first round of IVF with another medical center, and while the process was much the same, the quality of care was not something we felt comfortable with. The first attempt failed, and we were so discouraged that we took time away to decide if starting a family was something we were adamant about pursuing. When we were ready to try again, much more research on the internet led my wife to suggest Coastal Fertility Medical Center, and their free open house seminar to see what they were about.
From our first seminar visit, and our subsequent consultation with Dr. Werlin, we could tell there was something different about him and his team. They showed a warmth and compassion that had been lacking with our previous medical experience. We chose to move forward with another attempt, and were pleased to discover that while Dr. Werlin had moved to a brand new facility in Irvine, their costs for our needed procedures was the same as what we had previously paid. The vast majority of the services that a patient needs are offered in house, from labs to ultrasounds, and other types of testing as well. This speeds up the process and makes needed visits more productive and valuable. Office hours start at 6:30am, which was huge for two working prospective parents; they are open 7 days a week and holidays too.
I’ll be honest, at first I was skeptical that something that sounded too good to be true, was. Its rare in the world when you can find someone who is as good as their word, but Dr. Werlin is. He said he would be the one performing the ultrasounds; he was. He said he would be the one calling us with the results of my wife’s blood tests; he did. During one surgical procedure, he was in the pre-​op room describing to my what was going to happen during the procedure, took her into the procedure, performed the procedure himself, brought her out into post-​op, checked in on her multiple times prior to her being discharged, and even put her in a wheelchair and pushed her to our car himself when she was ready to go home. The way he treated both my wife and myself with courtesy, respect, care, honesty, and did all of it with an upbeat positive manner (even at 6:30am, no easy feat) blew me away.
His unique, personal practice has been a refreshing change from everything else we had been used to. It was the 2^nd most important thing about our experience with Dr. Werlin; the 1^st being the day he called to tell us that we were going to have the family we had wanted for a long time. I can’t recommend him and his staff highly enough. If you want more information on what your options are or are already considering IVF, go see them. No one is promised anything; nor were we. But even if we hadn’t been successful, I can tell you that I know that all of the people at Coastal did everything in their power to make us so.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Werlin after a friend and her husband had great success with him. We have been nothing but shockingly impressed with Dr. Werlin, the nurses and staff. Being able to sit down directly with him and get straight answers and questions with an actual doctor and specialist meant more to us than anything. Now were in the midst of our «game plan» and are still highly impressed with his bedside manner. I called in today from feeling very ill on the metformin prescribed and not only did the nurse who I left a message call me back but Dr Werlin himself called me back at 720 pm to check on me. I can not give enough praise for how great he has made this sensitive time in our lives.

I had a failed IVF attempt with this team. I was very nervous and emotional during the IVF process as one could imagine. I asked the nurse who was taking my case for some help with my anxiety. She told me to look online, literally. So I did, which increased my anxiety 10 fold. Reading about all the failed IVF cases on the internet was so disturbing to me because for 30 grand this was my only chance to get pregnant.
So as I am dealing with my failed IVF on my own, I get a bill 8 months later for charges on my account. They are so behind and unorganized that 8 months after my failed IVF they would like to remind me of the experience and state that I owe $ 200.00 for HCG/​progestone lab. I had paid $ 60.00 the day I had the HCG drawn and this amount was not even credited to my account. I had to remind them. As a RN myself, I felt very let down by the lack of compassion and organization in this reproductive practice.

We were treated by another fertility doctor prior to Dr. Werlin, for about a year. After I shared about my experiences with a friend, she recommended that I make a visit to see Dr. Werlin. We switched over to him and never looked back…
What I was looking for in a doctor was competence and care. What we got were both of those qualities in spades. Dr. Werlin is a character, full of energy and humor. However, he has an amazing ability to know when what is needed is sensitivity, comfort with silence, and tenderness… Without wanting to share our family’s medical specifics on the internet for anyone to see, let’s just leave it at we have been successfully treated by Dr. Werlin and have been able to grow our family because of his expertise.
The team at Coastal Fertility is incredible, from the administrative group, to the medical professionals, to the embryologists. I truly believe they have shared in our sorrows and celebrated our joys all along the way. I will forever be grateful to Coastal Fertility for helping us expand our family and being a part of our journey to parenthood.
