I was referred over to this office after an anomaly showed up on a blood test; my doctor said it wasn’t a huge deal and I could either choose to retest later or go see a hematologist for follow up– I chose to be cautious and come see Dr. Coluzzi. It was super easy dealing with his staff and he was very kind and reassuring. I was shown to a patient room quickly and staff and the doctor came in fast, took more blood fast and got some results while I sat there for 5 minutes. It was really great to be able to feel better before I went home instead of having to wait days for results.

I am extremely grateful that I am having my Lung Cancer Treatment with Dr. Coluzzi who is my primary Oncologist and with each members of his Staff for the last 4 months and on.
Dr. Coluzzi is a great Oncologist who is very honest, dedicated, experienced, patient, straight-​forward cancer specialist.
When I came to his office for the first time, he started looking into my previous medical records and Lab reports in which he found there were conflicts between reports. Upon the conflicts of reports, the doctor had me to repeat all the Scan tests again for diagnosis. I personally agree with his right decision to reorder the tests prior to the treatment to make sure the Lab tests are correctly collected and analyzed.
During the treatment, each time he gives out a prescription, he always explains what the medicine is for in a non-​specialist language so that I can understand it. He also mentions about the side effects for me to be aware of.
In each office visit, he reviews the test result and goes over the reports with me on a computerized display monitor in which he uses software to display the changes of a data fact (like cancer marker, etc.) over the months and demonstrates to me the the progress of treatment on a statistic display chart.
Next, he asks what are my feelings or problems or pains that I am presently suffering from, and remains patiently listening to my words and responds with suggestions and solutions.
He works as a member of UCLA Health System and inherits a systematic, and computerized management Data Base System in which everything is recorded and possibly retrieved from the computer system. At the beginning of the treatment, each patient will be encouraged to set up a patient account with User ID and Pass word. Logging into the account, the patient can communicate with his/​her doctor by email, or look into his medical records, or bill statements, etc. What a scientific and convenient way!!! for each patient to have.
I am extremely happy and grateful to have treatment with Dr Coluzzi and his Staff.

It took 10 minutes for someone to pick up the phone on a Tuesday 1 PM and the staff was so uninformed and couldn’t help me, i had to repeat everything 3 times for her to understand, i am giving this place 3 stars just because it doesn’t justify in case the doctor is good, but honestly the lady on the phone sucked…

Love, love this doctor. He is treating my mother for cancer, and he’s great. He is kind, respectful, informed, and always explains everything in an easy to understand manner. I truly appreciate his kindness and compassion. His staff has always been great too. 5 stars!

Dr. Coluzzi treated me for my Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. This was a very difficult time for me and he was an excellent doctor. The nurses who helped with my treatments were kind and companionate as well.

LAZY STAFF!
Dr. Coluzzi and Dr. Tetif share a practice. They are specialists who see patients with blood diseases and cancer. I can’t really speak for them personally, but their staff is completely inept. I tried for a week to reach the new patient coordinator, Kelsey, so I could make an appointment to see Dr. Tetif after receiving some unfortunate news about my health from my doctor.
Kelsey’s phone goes straight to voicemail and her voicemail says she returns all of her calls within the same business day. I left her 4 messages throughout the week (one of them was with the answering service after hours), and when she still refused to call me back, my doctor’s office called and spoke to her directly. She promised my doctor’s office that she would call me that day. Of course she didn’t! She finally called me back 2 days after that (one week after my first call), and there was no apology or excuse for the delay. Furthermore, she told me the next available appointment was over a week away (we could have had a conversation in person if she had scheduled my appointment the day I called).
THEN when she found out I wasn’t suffering from CANCER, she told me that I would have to see Dr. Coluzzi instead of Dr. Tetif because Dr. Tetif only sees cancer patients! So let me get this straight, all week while she wasn’t returning my call, she thought I had just been diagnosed with CANCER? Does she have this little regard for all of the patients? I wonder.
I arrived at my appointment «AS SCHEDULED». Mind you, it was early in the morning, so I had to pay for daycare for my 2 children and then drive ½ hour from my home to their office. When I arrived, Kelsey told me I was 2 hours early! She even double checked her system before informing me coldly that it was my error and definitely not hers.
I told her she could cancel my appointment because I wouldn’t be returning at 11:00. I proceeded to tell her that I was not only angry because of this scheduling error, but because she refused to return my initial call for a week. She just stared at me without expression until I finally walked out.
When I got home, my husband and I saw that Dr. Coluzzi had some great online reviews. My husband was concerned and said he wasn’t going to let Kelsey stand in the way of my health, so he called their office, specifically during lunch hour so Kelsey wouldn’t answer, and he spoke to someone named Nicole. Nicole said that this issue should be escalated to the office manager, Claudia, who was not available but would call me right back. Now I have been waiting for 2 more days for Claudia to return my call… It’s been several weeks since I received my diagnosis. I LITERALLY GIVE UP!
