Absolute rude crooks. Especially Scott English. Made a verbal contract with me then nulls it by slipping a written on by me I wasnt aware of. They just want your money. Have no customer service skills and he is just a down right snake.

Jeff Joiner was fantastic. He was knowledgeable and communicated with me every step of the way on refinancing my home. My refi ended up being more complicated because I am a nurse and have had multiple jobs so that made it confusing for the underwriter. Jeff kept me calm and updated. If you are looking for an outstanding company with integrity, chose Crestline and make sure to ask for Jeff Joiner.

I have nkw tried talking to one person from crestline that blew me off. I called and talked to someone else which resulted in a fairly unprofessional and derogatory email from the original guy. Then talked to «the president of the company» who assigned me to a different person this time in the Irvine office. He called he asked for info and said he would definitely take care of me and keep in contact. I admit up front that mine is a challenging situation however I sent this second or really third guy all the info he asked for almost 3 weeks ago and have not gotten any further response. If you have a difficult or challenging situation or perhaps even one that is like my case a fairly small loan I have gotten the impression that these unprofessional people dont want your or at least my business. I thought I was getting along well and building a relationship with a mortgage pro. Turns out I was being placated and lead on by a company that has no intention of assisting me. Seriously at least the courtesy of a reply that they couldnt do anything would have been very appreciated and shown that these are professionals.

I recently modified my home mortgage, thinking it would be a seamless experience since it was a referral and I truly regret using this company to do so. To try and sum things up, I expected to close in April and Jeff Giger kept promising me I would since I got everything to him within 2 days! I am a very proactive person and always had all my information when needed. I constantly checked in with Jeff (I kept all my emails as proof!) and he assured me time and time again that I would close in time. I had to pay my 401k loans with this money and I only got a certain time frame to do so (I left the co I was at so I needed to pay off or claim on taxes as earned income and I didn’t want to do that) needless to say I didn’t close until July 1^st and I can’t believe it took so long! That loan accrued interest from that time making it near impossible to pay the difference! I would avoid this company or at least Jeff Giger because you will not be a priority and you won’t matter. This long of a delay is unacceptable and I would hate you to have these issues especially if you need money out of your refi in a timely manner.

We recently worked with Jeff Joiner on a refi and I must say it was an absolute pleasure working with Jeff. If not for Jeff Im convinced we would have never completed this process, as there were more than a few set backs, non of which were Jeff’s fault. However, we always felt we had an advocate with Jeff; he kept us informed and was always available. Jeff really won our trust and we highly recommend him.

I’m in current process for their advertised «no closing cost refi for 3.85%» with Scott English… Did my part, hope there’s no issues, will update soon as we close !!!

Unless you live in the area I wouldn’t use this company. I had to do almost everything for the loan, fax paperwork, get a notary, etc. I would refi with someone local unless you know how to fill out at least 80 pages of realty docs. Not worth it.

Best customer service! I refinanced my home and Rob Stewart was my agent. I’ve never had better customer service. I am a bit chicken when it comes to executing big financial moves and Rob kept my nerves calm through the entire process. Everything was done through FAX and email – even the final loan documents were signed at my office (talk about convenient) when the notary came and took me through the process. I had an advocate in Rob Stewart at Crestline Funding. He knows his stuff, he worked all the math and gave me many options when it came to choices for refinancing options. Super efficient!!!

Jeff Joiner was great. He explained how the process would go, kept me up to date, and answered all of my questions. I love that I was able to talk to him all the way from start to finish. I definitely recommend Jeff and Crestline Funding. Their rates and service are great.

I’ve recently gone through two refinances with them and both were outstanding. I was referred to Sam Chiu by a coworker and he was great to work with. He’ll answer any questions you have in a timely manner.
I shopped around for quotes with others, including my original lender, but Crestline rates were more than competitive. You’ll be provided multiple options on the same type of loan (e.g. With or without closing costs)
Lending is strict these days as expected, but if your finances and credit are in order, then the process with Crestline is as smooth as it gets.

I never thought in a million years I’d bother writing a review for a mortgage refi. But Cynthia at Crestline did such an amazing job handling my refi that I had no choice but to write a review full of praises. I appreciate professionalism and efficiency, and she excels in both. If you want your loan completed with minimal hassle, then she is the one to call. If you like to take the traditional route of getting a loan (shopping around yourself for low APRs, proceeding with unanswered questions and confusion) then by all means go elsewhere.

I did business with Gene Davis and ended up becoming homeless and had to spend thousands of extra money, not to mention extra time and so much stress.
My escrow was originally supposed to be 45 days. I checked in with him frequently to make sure everything is going smoothly. I called him every day of the week we were suppose to close and he told me we’re on time for closing. So by then, I already put 30 day notice to my apartment, getting ready to move to my new home. On the day we were supposed to close, he said appraisal review came back disapproving the original appraisal so the escrow closing will delay. He didn’t even tell me appraisal review is going on. And the worst part is, from there, every week, he would say, he has no control over it but we should be closing soon. When I asked if it could take more than 2 weeks, he said there is no way. But it went on for another month and half and we were still told that we should be closing soon because we are just waiting for docs. He would say managers are getting involved but no manager ever e-​mailed or called me to say anything so it’s really hard to believe they were.
We got kicked out of our apartment since we already put in 30 day notice 2 months before and they put the place for sale.
I had to put everything in storage, put all my pets in pet hotel. And I had to find a place to live for my husband and I.
So I asked Gene if I could at least get some kind of credit towards my closing cost for all this trouble and extra money I had to spend when I did nothing wrong. And he came back saying, «It’s costing us money too, it’s costing everyone money and time.» Why would it cost him anything when he says they are just waiting for docs. And is that any of my problem as a customer?
That’s when I lost my patience and changed my lender, had to start everything all over again but it seemed like there was something else going on with this company.
2 weeks later, I received a call from my realtor that Gene has docs ready now.
So if I stayed with this lender, it took them 3 months and 2 weeks just to get the docs and who knows how long it’d taken after signing the docs.
Gene try to sound professional, and try to justify everything by saying he’s been doing this for 13 years and try to promise and assure everything is going well, in fact, everything wasn’t.
I saw even more difference in service when I changed the lender. My new lender finished appraisal within a week when Gene took a month to do it. And my new lender can actually tell me what’s going on, include me in all e-​mails when Gene used to just say, «it’s out of my control».
I would go with another lender. I would NEVER recommend him or his company.

Stephen Moye, the Senior Loan Officer for Crestline Funding just took care of our re-​finance for the third consecutive time. He offered the best rates, locked us in and sealed the deal. We never had to leave the comfort of our house. He conducted business from a secure on line connection & if we had concerns he was always available to speak to us over the phone. I liked to time his email replies and he always responded within 5 minutes (and it really didn’t matter what day of the week or the time). I can’t speak for anyone else @ Crestline but if you want Honest and quick Professional service, Stephen is your Guy!
