The Dirt Busters are a family owned and operated cleaning firm. Located in the heart of Orange County, we strive to be the very best in the cleaning industry. Founded in 2012 by Mike Salas, Mike believes in a cleaner future, a cleaner environment. And it starts with us. We don’t use harmful chemical nor harsh fragrances to clean your home or office. We use Eco-​friendly cleaning products that are high quality and environmentally safe products. Using these products is good for you, good for us and good for the environment. Business Owner

Grease monkey, artist and founder of the Dirt Busters, Mike Salas is a hippie wannabe, lover of wine and father to his 5 year old shih tzu. His business talents started at a young age when he started selling his grandmothers homemade tamales at school without her knowing.

Mike graduated from high school with honors, joined the U. S Army and decided to jump out of perfectly good airplanes for a living.

He recently took the biggest step in his life and started his own cleaning company. He abides by Sam Waltons business motto: There is only one boss. The customer. And he can fire everybody in the company from the chairman on down, simply by spending his money somewhere else.

He works about 70 hours a week and still thinks congress should extend the amount of hours in a day.

It doesnt get any better than this company. Ash on my brand new carpet was removed and my carpet looked great once more. Carlos and Jose were a delight to work with. They were professional, hard working, accommodating, friendly, and helpful. There was no time wasted and they worked every minute they were in my house. I will call this company again for any of my cleaning needs.

Stop what you’re doing now and give this company a call!!! I am a self proclaimed perfectionist and this company did a perfect job in my home! I am obsessed! They were punctual, so friendly, and the cleaning job. I just can’t rave about it enough! You could literally eat off my floors! I have kids, and thought certain places in my house would never again look new again, but I was wrong! From floor to ceiling and everything in between is almost glowing it’s so clean and shiny! The attention to detail and above and beyond service was unbelievable. Definitely will be a repeat customer!

Turns out they are a small business and only have two carpet cleaners. Mike ended up refunding our money which we appreciated and we have since had our carpets cleaned to our satisfaction by another company.
Contrary to Mike’s comments the issue was not that they were a small or large business. The issue is they ruined my baseboards with scratches and stains remained on the carpet. The issue of being a small business only came into play when the company sent the SAME guy who messes up my baseboards to come out and try and get our the remaining stains. Was he going to do something different no it just creates an incredibly uncomfortable situation for me as the worker is arguing with me over the stains and baseboards. Even though I was reimbursed for the job I STILL had to come out of my own pocket to have the baseboards repainted. Don’t miss the issue. The work just wasn’t satisfactory regardless of company size.

Dirt Busters just finished cleaning my carpets and they look amazing! They were able to completely remove some heavy stains that’d been on my stairs for a loooong time. I’m so impressed! They were also able to lift some pretty gross stains that my dog left when she got sick. Now there’s only a slight trace of the stains. Carlos and Jose were such nice, friendly people. I’m extremely happy with their service and will call Dirt Busters the second I need another cleaning in the future. Thank you!

I just wanted to say that mike did an outstanding job reaching out to me, I didn’t even expect anything really but he took the time out of this day to patch this up for the previous job. I’ve used Dirt Busters four times now and they have made my life easy!
I foster puppies and puppies have accidents… so I call Julio, Mike and the team and they come out to clean, treat the area, deodorize/​enzyme things that they do and it’s magic!
I also rent out some condos and need regular cleaning when tenants move out. One call — appointment is set, I get an email confirmation, I get a call from the technician, I get a digital document. It’s great.
Bingo Bango Bongo it’s clean.
All silliness aside, I am very pleased with their rates, their service and the quality of work. I will always use them and recommend them.

It’s so refreshing to see that the owner cares deeply about their customer’s satisfaction. All their staff, mainly Julio, has been top notch and pleasant to work with from explaining how their service works, making appointments, or answering any questions I had. I had a deep home cleaning and I really loved the quality of their work. The staff really spends time cleaning every inch of the space you want cleaned. With that said, they do take a while to clean and wasn’t able to finish the job in the amount of time agreed upon. I had brought that up with mike, the owner, and together, we were able to work it out. I think the deep cleaning made such a huge difference to the maintenance of the house. I would die if I had to clean to that rigor all by myself. I’m so thankful to have dirt busters help me with this terrifying task!

We JUST finished our first experience with Dirt Busters. Mike is great and calls you during your time window to give a more accurate time which was much appreciated when I had a busy day!
The cleaners were fantastic and very thorough! Our apartment smells like a magical clean heaven! They even vacuumed my couch due to the dark material and our beige dog who sheds like crazy! They cleaned from top to bottom like promised. I am a very detailed cleaner when I clean but due to a party we are having and the crazy week I had I really needed the extra help.
The only very small issue we had was we were quoted for 2 hours and it ended up taking 3 even with 2 cleaners so we are charged for an an extra hour BUT I will say they did a great job and all 3 hours were definitely needed and appreciated. We were happy they finished versus only working 2 and stopping without finishing so I can’t even complain!
I will definitely keep them in mind again for semi regular cleaning as they were fantastic. Hopefully I can request the same team if not at least just the lady!

As an update to my previous reveiw, Mike did end up following thru. After expressing unhappiness with the lack of communication, it was stepped up and I was kept informed. Our window was replaced with the same type of window that was broken, our screens were fixed and the dirty windows cleaned. Our windows now look beautiful which makes our home look so much better.

My carpet is back to its original color and you guys have successfully removed the pet odors.

Submitted an online request Wednesday morning and got a call back in about an hour and was able to schedule an appointment for Friday morning at 8am.
I met the cleaner (Mikes sister) who did a walk through before she grabbed her supplies and vacuum. I then left to go run errands and I came back about 2 hours later to find my bathroom absolutely sparkling!!! She managed to get 3 years off soap scum off of my shower and tub and the chrome looks brand new. The toilet looks like it was just installed and never used. The sink plunger which I thought was permanently etched and discolored is perfect after her work.
There was a stain on one of the bedroom walls behind my old night stand where something got spilled, we’re guessing red wine that she couldn’t get off. She even took photos and sent them to the office to see if they had any advice after she tried different things, bleach, magic eraser, etc… Who has cleaners that get a second opinion???
Although this was my first time using them, I will use them again and highly recommend them to everyone.

I have used this company several times for carpet cleaning, air duct cleaning, and grout cleaning. I have also referred them to friends and clients of mine. After several years of dealing with Mike and his crew, I can honestly say this company deserves 5 stars all the way!
Dirt Busters has it all! Amazing customer service, excellent communication skills, and they perform high quality work. They are there when they say they will be and every time they leave, my expectations are exceeded. As far as cost goes, they may not be the cheapest. But that is not a bad thing. They did reach out to me (staff and owner) to discuss the issue and how the error was made. They did make a correction. I do admire the fact that they reach out resolved the problem quickly. Adjusted my rating accordingly from the 3 to a 5 since my only complaint was the billing issue.

First off I have to say the cleaning was great (per friend) and making an appointment was easy. My problem actually comes with the person who calls and tells you how much, etc…
We started at 4 – 5 hours. Was called and told that they would get into the 5th hour. I replied «just take care of it». Not shockingly it wound up being 6 hours. We had already moved out of town so had a friend letting them in and closing out. House is big was not dirty, it was for a move-​out.

Dirt Busters cleaned a 3,000 square foot home for me and they did a supremely fantastic job. It took about 4 hours. The house was in definite need of deep cleaning: The hardwood floors, tile flooring, granite countertops, tables, and I also requested that any trash and dead insects to be cleared out. Mike and Julio are very friendly, the workers were punctual, and followed instructions accurately. Be sure to review their estimates and costs with them from the beginning and rest assured, they will transform your residence into a spotless and comforting haven.

Well after reading all the reviews and looking at all the before and after photos I decided to call Dirt Busters. I also called two other local carpet cleaning companies to compare. I found the representative I spoke with from Dirt Busters to be the most professional, informative, and very reasonable with the price quote (the way they total the area to be cleaned is favorable to the customer).
Okay so fast forward… they arrived earlier than expected (but they called to make sure it was okay!) they were very professional and took meticulous care to make sure all our wall corners, furniture, etc was protected. They spot treated the stairs and cleaned it twice… actually until it looked better than the first day the carpet was installed.
They did such a thorough job on the cleaning. We were so incredibly impressed. I was expecting the carpet to come out cleaner but wow it looks brand new.
Great job guys! You worked so hard. Thank you so much!!!

I received a very pleasant follow-​up call a few days after the service to see how my experience was and I didn’t hesitate to express my disappointment. They offered to go back and re-​clean the house, welcomed another cleaning opportunity or partially refund my payment. I sincerely appreciated his unsolicited offers.
I think the call was another example of their fantastic customer service. They were pleasant to speak with, very apologetic and eager for an opportunity to right the situation.

Dirt Busters is the name of their carpet cleaning business now. The house cleaning/​maid part of the company is now called «Maid Cleaning OC». Even though it’s the same exact people cleaning my house the quality has drastically gone down hill and I cannot recommend this company anymore. I’ll leave this review 4 stars which it was when it was Dirt Busters and I’ll write a new review of the new cleaning company.
**4/​30/​16 update**
I’ve been using Dirt Busters now for monthly cleaning service for almost a year now and these guys do a fantastic job. A crew of two cleans my 3 bedroom house end to end leaving my house smelling fresh and clean when I get home from work.
When you first hire Dirt Busters the owner Mike will check out your house and ask what your highest priorities are. For me, the kitchen and bathrooms are the main priority and then depending on time left they can clean the rest. In the small amount of time they’re at my house I’m amazed how much extra stuff they do such as cleaning the window blinds and ceiling fan blades. Cleaning service is hourly so if you want something extra done like the oven or fridge cleaned it’s just added to your time, not a specific charge amount.
You’re given a combination lock box to hang on your door on cleaning days which holds the house key.
I’m not giving it 5 stars since I’ve had a few issues over the year but the customer service cannot get any better. Mike will do whatever it takes to make you happy and if I’ve been upset about anything he makes it right. You can feel totally comfortable having strangers in your house when you’re not home because Mike runs an honest business and he’s full of integrity. They’ll be keeping my business for years to come.
Besides house cleaning they do several other things. I hired Mike to remove the old grout from my master bathroom tile and regrout with a new epoxy type. He was honest and upfront about potential damage that may occur due to it being an older bathroom and he ended up doing a fantastic job. Looks amazing. He also recaulked both bathrooms and my kitchen sink.
