All the new hot dogs they have been creating are amazing, most recently being the Katsu dog. Also a very big fan of their Elote dog, Po’ Boy dog, and Thanksgiving fries. The service is always friendly and they get the food out quick so there is never a long wait to get your food. I heard they just opened up a new restaurant concept called Burnt Crumbs. I’ll be checking that out soon

Definitely«not your average wiener.» This food truck serves some interestingly delicious hot dogs — with a Japanese twist. These dogs are loaded with toppings and sauces, all of which are laid snugly inside a trio of Hawaiian rolls. Each dog has a different style, and I was able to try a couple of them over the course of several visits. This is one of those food trucks where if I see it, my lunch plans for the day are overridden because these dogs can’t be passed up. You can order a hot dog on its own, or make it a combo with fries and/or a drink. The dogs I have tried are: Dogzilla — The original. It’s great, but nothing really stands out about it. The mayo/teriyaki sauces really bring out the flavor, but the avocado and bacon toppings don’t seem to match too well with it. Just personal preference, but it’s my least favorite out of the ones I’ve tried. Furi Dog — My old favorite, before the Katsu Dog came out. The sausage link is spicier than the other dogs’, but it’s a very light level of spice. The nori strips and sauces add a ton of flavor to the dog. I’d definitely get this one over their original Dogzilla, if you’re undecided. Yaki Dog — A pretty heavy and loaded dog. There’s a good serving of yakisoba, but it feels like it doesn’t match well on a sausage. It’s all very tasty, but it felt like I was eating two separate things instead of one combination of soba and hot dog. Has okonomi sauce, so it has a different and interesting flavor than the other dogs. Katsu Dog — It’s NEW. And AMAZING. I was pleasantly surprised by how perfect every topping worked together to form a fiesta of flavor. This dog is the most loaded out of the ones I’ve tried(maybe more than the Yaki dog). The macaroni salad works well with the panko-crusted sausage, which is doused with a perfect amount of katsu sauce. It’s not an overwhelming amount of sauce either! It’s a little messy and intimidating to eat, but this new creation has become my favorite hot dog at Dogzilla. My only gripe with Dogzilla is the consistency of some of the orders. There have been times where, for example, a Furi dog I order on one day tastes and looks slightly different from another day’s Furi dog. The most recent time I ordered a Furi dog, it had much less nori strips than a previous time, and less sauce too. It’s not too much of a problem, but it’d be nice to get the top quality I expect each time. Other than that, Dogzilla is a must try!

OMGoooooodness!!! I had the chance to try this truck when they were onsite at my work for a special event. I never knew a hot dog can tastes this amazing! Especially coming from a food truck. But this was more of an Asian fusion food fare. East meets west=bomb! We were able to choose one entrée at the company’s expense. I went with the DOGZILLA… this was an epic creation. It’s an all-beef frank tucked in 3 soft hawaiian rolls. Topped with grilled onions, bacon bits, furikake, and avocado. Drizzled with house mayo and teriyaki sauce. Every bite was intensely sweet and savory. I definitely want MORE of that dog! Dogzilla… You have left a lasting impression on my taste buds. I am a FAN!

We had a groupon for Dogzilla and it looked so good we were so excited to get it! The people working there seemed really nice and gave great customer service. The food itself had a pretty good flavor too. Only reason I am docking it a couple stars is that it was not very warm when we got it and the portions seems a bit small for the price we were paying :/

Deliciously expensive. like crack. Pros: When I first had this. I had no idea that a hot dog could taste this heavenly. The combination of toppings and ingredients that they use for these are amazing. I don’t know how they came up with these combination, but I tried maybe around half of what they have. Every one of them did not disappoint. Orders usually come out fairly quick as well even if there is a somewhat long line as what usually happens. Cons: It’s sooo damn expensive. you’re paying like over $ 7 after tax for this little hot dog. I mean I’m a big eater so that’s probably part of the problem, but damn these food trucks and their overpriced food! I would honestly have to eat at least 3 of them before I’m «satisfied» lol. but then that’d be paying over $ 20 for hot dogs -.-… This is honestly why I rate it so low. also sometimes it gets really crowded and even then it takes a bit for you to get your food. Bottom line: I try to ignore this truck whenever I see it due to how much it is for hot dogs, but it’s a bit hard when they’re just so damn good. Good thing I don’t see them very often -, —

Yaki Dog me any day of the week! From the sweet brioche bun to the yakisoba fixings to the spicy andouille sausage, absolute perfection! I have not had a yakisoba sandwich since I lived in Japan. Let’s just say it took me back to the streets of Osaka!

The best food truck you can work with for company events. Very fast, efficient and professional! I worked with them for events and we had around 1000 guests and they were awesome! The food is DELICIOUS and I recommended them to family and friends. Thank you for being part of our successful events! Goli :)

This truck is at my office today. I ordered the Yakisoba dog, minus ginger since I hate ginger, and a side of regular fries. Asked them to cut it in half since i knew it would be difficult to eat with noodles cabbage and bean sprouts on it! Let me say that this hot dog was DELICIOUS!!! I could eat this dog every single day! Would love to try their other ones as well next time I see them!

So I have never been a big fan of hot dogs but I must say I absolutely loved the LA Street Dog I ordered! If you’ve never had one you are missing out! It is an all beef hefty frank on a delicious warmed hawaiian tasting bun. It is topped with a creamy chile jalapeño sauce, bell peppers, caramelized onions and real bacon bits crisped perfectly! Every bite was a party in my mouth. I made it a combo and got a side of garlic fries and a water bottle. The garlic fries were seasoned with a garlic salt and tasted great. It was perfect with the hot dog. The dog was $ 7 and it was $ 3 more to add fries and drink. My mom ordered a fury dog which was very good. This one was topped with kelp strips which was different but still tasty. Other bonuses, truck is a deep green color, my fave, and service was awesome! Super friendly and upbeat guy helping me out! They had some classic hip hop bumping and catchy logos on the truck! Can’t wait to go back for round two!

I got to try this Food Truck by my workplace. They definitely have an interesting variety of Hot Dogs and they are placed on what tastes like a sweet bread. It’s fun to see what kind of concoctions they come up with. You’ll see items with different types of sauces and spices added. I thought the food was A-OK. While there are unique items, the taste itself didn’t blow me away. It’s really hard to make a hot dog extra special. The garlic fries I had on the side were also just ok. It’s a little expensive for what it is but I understand the appeal and how different it is. I don’t think I’ll try it again but it was fun to try once with a group of friends. It just didn’t stand out as amazing in my mind.

Tried the Furikake Dog and the Yakisoba Dog and the Dogzilla. All were very good though messier than expected, but that’s okay. Messy food tastes better than clean food because you have to work for it. Dogzilla came by my office and I decided it was high time to give them a shot, and I’m glad I did. Normally, food trucks disappoint me more than a little, and the hype surrounding the food truck culture is really sort of hard to swallow(no pun intended). The trucks I’ve tried have so far left me wanting, but Dogzilla was much easier to stomach(pun intended). The Furikake Dog was probably the most meh of the three, but it was still good. Juicy dog, soft bun, flavorful toppings. Yakisoba Dog tasted like Yakisoba and a hot dog. Accurate and tasty, though a little salty. Dogzilla was good and I can see why it’s so popular. Hands down far more deserving of the hype than Kogi. The only downside to all this is that I was extremely thirsty afterwards. MSG? Maybe not, but maybe some of the sauces had traces of that magical metallic seasoning. I’d do this one again before any of the other food trucks I’ve tried, which aren’t that many, but consistently disappointing. Thanks Dogzilla. I’ll see you again.

Service: There was a long line so I didn’t want to hold up the line by asking recommendations or personal favorites. I got the dogzilla and and moved along. Food: The dogzilla was very good. The creaminess, saltiness, the sausage was nice a flavorful and juicy. Only wish was, I wish I had a beer. It would’ve been amazing, but me and my friends were at an event and public drinking isn’t allowed… without an arrest and a ticket…

I was at the Orange County Marketplace yesterday getting my last shopping fix(with beer) for the next two months, since the Marketplace closes down during the OC Fair. We were pleasantly suprised to see Dogzilla Truck there. I squealed in delight and my husband looked at me like I had a third eyeball or something. He’s like«let me guess– you want a hot dog?» Uh duh! So he scoped us out a table, and I ordered for the both of us. Two ball park dogs, and an order of garlic fries! My husband has NEVER eaten off a gourmet food truck, and only has had(bad) experiences with the proverbial«roach coach». He couldn’t get over the gourmet delights put forth from this truck. The dogs were covered with a very tasty chile, cheese, onions. The unique bun was lightly buttered and toasted, and the garlic fries were crispy and loaded with garlic. We washed these down with cold delicious beers! I think we now have a convert!

I had been wanting to try Dogzilla for quite some time now. Just my luck the truck happened to be in my work’s complex so I decided to hop over for lunch with a couple of co-workers. We were one of the first few so there was hardly a wait. One of my co-worker and I ordered the Yaki dog which comes with noodle on top of a hot dog. I really love the taste of the hot dog but didn’t care too much for the noodle toppings themselves. It wasn’t as salty though as some Unilocalers had stated. If anything I wish it would have been a bit saltier. My other co-worker had the dogzilla and was gracious enough to lend me half a bite to try. This was a lot more better than the Yaki dog in my opinion. It had avocado, bacon, onions, etc… This was clearly the better of the two we tried that day. I really wish we would have ordered the furi dog as well and realistically I probably should have. Pricing was very affordable. For about 7 bucks a dog you really get your money’s worth. The dog is big in quantity and is perfect for the price. So far I’d say this is one of the better food truck that stops by the area. I will definitely be back to try out a couple of other items on the menu.

Tried this place for the first time last week… so good! I went traditional and got the Dogzilla… unless you have an affliction with avocado then you have to try this one. I’ve always seen this place but never got the chance to do so. Well worth it though. Hope to check out more of offerings soon!

Food trucks are no longer the deal they used to be. And that’s a doggone shame. For example, the Yaki Dog that I wrote about in my previous review is now $ 7(up from $ 6). Really? Both LinX and Dog Haus, which are brick-and-mortar restaurants, sell their gourmet dogs for less. And the quality is just as good, if not better. Yes, it’s a dog eat dog world out there, and raising your prices is not going to bring you any more customers. Personally, I would rather pay less and have a comfortable place to sit down, ice cold beer in hand, than chase down an exhaust-spewing truck and eat standing up, hunched over, in some miserable, poorly-lit parking lot. Their dogs may still be good, but I’m having a hard time justifying the mark up, especially when the overhead pales in comparison to a brick-and-mortar place. Minus a ½ star for the 17% price hike.

…Wherever you drive Whatever you serve I will be right here eating with you. However its topped Or how my buns filled Ill be right here eating with you… …I took for granted, all the dogs That I thought would taste so good I see your toppings, I taste your juice But, now I cant get enough… …Wherever you drive Whatever you serve ILLBE right here eating with you… Winner Wieners Right here Right now Waiting for you And who doesnt like biting into a good hotdog? Now there are hot dogs then there are HotdiggityDogs. These Dogzilla babies are the real thing. Came across these dogs on the Tuesday night Home Depot roach coach event and was intrigued with these doggies with a Japanese flair. Service was fast and friendly, and payment accepted is cash or credit. I ordered 2 dogs and garlic fries. For myself I had a basic dog served on a Kings Hawaiian roll and topped with the basics. Ketchup, mustard, relish and grilled onions. It was pretty good and squirted juice onto my face. My only complaint, it wasnt hot enough. I like my dogs pipin hot. I ordered the Beast one of the top sellers the Dogzilla dog and it was topped with an assortment of things from Japanese mayo, grilled onion, bacon, seaweed bits and a few other treats. He said it was good. But we both agreed these dogs didn’t fill us up. My garlic fries were okay, a little soggy and not as crispy as I like them. For a quick snack this truck is yumalicious. But if your looking for a meal, order 2 of them to fill your belly. Review #408

This is one of the best hot dogs I’ve ever had. I got the Furi dog, boyfriend got the Dogzilla dog and we shared garlic fries. The hot dogs were out of this world. The bun was big, fluffy perfection and the meat was superb. The toppings were unique, but a killer combo and the hot dog wasn’t too messy. The garlic fries, while kind of small for how much we paid, were really good. Not best I’ve ever had good, but still great. Two dogs and fries: $ 16.50

I am a NY Dog kind of guy, mustard, onions and kraut. But when Dogzilla came by to cater a competition at my climbing gym, I decided to try the namesake dog. well, almost, I did swap out the bacon for crispy shallots. The dog was very good. I like the bread they used for a bun, the avocado added a nice texture and creaminess, and all the ingredients worked together. It certainly was a tasty couple of bites.

Dogzilla puts together some really interesting hot dogs! I am not much of a hot dog buff. In fact, I didn’t bother getting one in NYC or Chicago because I don’t really care. My preferred smoked meats in tubular form are Knockwurst or Bratwurst. So, I had trepidation when I stepped to Dogzilla’s neon green truck. Thankfully, the menu was extremely diverse and it took me no time at all to decide on trying the«Yaki Dog» and seeing what a Japanese inspired hot dog may taste like! Okay, there is a lot going on in this hot dog. First you have the Yakisoba Noodles themselves featuring bean sprouts, cabbage, green onions which are perched on top of okonomi sauce, nori, and red ginger and the wiener itself, A King’s Hawaiian Bun closes out the ingredient list. The flavor profile is very complex(bordering overwhelming) but I find the Yakisoba Noodles really lend themselves to the smokiness of the hot dog and the Hawaiian Bun injects are definite blast of welcome sweetness to the umami/savory mash up of the rest of the dog. Who knew a hot dog would ever excite me? I will most certainly be back for one of these!

I am just so amazed by the crazy flavor profiles this truck has to offer! I really REALLY can’t wait to have a chance to try their offerings again. Why can’t we have anything like this in San Diego! I tried the Furi Dog($ 6.50), which consisted of a hot link, spicy mayo, teriyaki, grilled onions, and nori seaweed sitting atop a Hawaiian bun. Every bite was a perfect combination of sweetness, spiciness, and saltiness that left me wondering when will I get more?! My bf ordered the Dozilla Dog with an extra fried egg, which was an all beef frank topped with avocado, bacon, grilled onions, teriyaki, and spicy mayo. It was a bit messy to eat so be prepared to use those napkins! But wow was it delicious! This has got to be, hands-down, my new favorite OC food truck! I’m taking all my friends here next time I get the chance!

So yummy! I’m usually not a fan of hot dogs but tried Dogzilla on a whim, and I’m glad I did! FOOD I’ve only tried the Dogzilla and Furi Dog but they’re both delicious! The bun is made from those sweet Hawaiian breads which really makes the difference. I usually get the spicy pork sausage, but it’s not even that spicy! — Dogzilla: I would try this one if it’s your first time! Comes with avocados on top. Super addicting. — Furi Dog: It’s supposed to be spicy but it’s not really. Still very good though, and comes with seaweed strips on top. HIGHLYHIGHLY recommend if you run into this truck somewhere! Normally I wouldn’t even think of purchasing a hot dog for the price, but it’s definitely worth it!
