We would absolutely recommend Elevated Pulse to anyone looking for a wedding DJ. We interviewed a couple different DJs, and they were by far the most professional. From the moment we decided to move forward with them, their level of professionalism and communication were top notch. We had multiple Skype meetings with our DJ, Mike to discuss our thoughts and preferences as far as music which allowed us to feel confident that we were on the same page.
The customer web portal on their website was also a great tool. It allowed us to take our own time to decide on our specific song choices, as well as styles of music for different points of the wedding. (Cocktail hour, dinner, ect) A couple of days before the wedding, we had one last call with Mike to do a final walk through that, again, left us without any doubts or worries as to what we were getting on our wedding day. I can tell you now, one less vendor to have to worry about was invaluable.
The day of the wedding, everything went off without a hitch. Mike showed up early to set up, and performed amazingly. We had quite a few specific requests as far as certain points in songs where we wanted them to start and stop, and Mike did a great job making sure all of them were met. Everyone was dancing all night, and we had multiple people compliment us on our music.

Brian DJed our wedding and he was fantastic! He and his staff were super efficient and quick with emails and phone calls; they met our every need. He met with us several times to get to know us as a couple and learn our music personalities. The day of, the music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and wedding were perfect. He played the requested songs at the right times. He watched the dance floor and played the right music to bring guests out onto the dance floor and get everyone hyped up. His passion for his job and music is evident in his work. Highly recommend Brian to anyone looking for someone to fill their music needs!

I’m so glad we went with Elevated Pulse for our wedding at The Colony House. We really wanted an awesome dance party and a packed dance floor for our wedding, and our DJ, Eric, totally made it happen! We gave him a lot of specific songs to play (it’s cool they let you do that), but he also totally understood the vibe we were going for and filled in the blanks with some great song choices. The transitions were impressive, too. People were dancing the entire night, and it really was the epic party that my husband and I were hoping for!
We also used their up-​lighting services and their monogram spotlight on the dance floor. Both added so much to the ambiance of the already-​cool space. Totally worth it. Everything looked beautiful!

I would recommend anyone looking for a good Wedding DJ/​Emcee at a reasonable price to definitely research carefully before making their final decision. My husband and I hired Elevated Pulse for our wedding last year in August 2015, and though we met with the DJ that was selected by Brian for our wedding in advance — our experience with the DJ on the night of our wedding was definitely not worth the rate that was charged to us. For 4 hours of DJ/​Emcee Service at our Reception for up to 200 guests, you should anticipate being ready to shell out more than $ 300/​hour. Our DJ started packing up his gear around 3 hours in, and stated that if he went over the 4 hour mark, he would charge us extra. As with most weddings, there was a delay to the start of our Reception. We were supposed to start at 6 PM, but started closer around the 6:45 PM mark. This ended up being little to no dance time for our guests and a prompt end to the festivities, as we obviously didn’t have any room to rack up even more costs. Even when communicating back to Elevated Pulse about our feedback and disappointment, we never received even a call back. They were good about communicating with us when invoices were involved, though.
Brides-​to-​be and Grooms-​to-​be, I would advise you to shop around for both a DJ and package price that you can live with and not just agree to whatever is set before you. My regret is for being too complacent in our decision-​making process, just accepting that that’s just how much things should cost. Good luck!

We were referred to Brian by our Photographer and I am so happy with our choice. Brian was our DJ, MC, and provided up lighting for our wedding on 1÷9÷16. His staff was easy to work with and got back to my emails right away. Brian helped with picking our songs and creating a timeline for us to work with. He was professional and super nice to all our guests. Thank you again for making our wedding perfect!

I should have known better when the DJ selected by this group to play my New Year’s Eve Miami Nightclub themed party had no uploaded mixes to check out or any reviews of him on Unilocal.DJ Angel contacted me before my event and we went over what I wanted, a mix of the latest dance tunes with some latin pop and salsa and a few retro dance faves thrown in. We spoke on the phone and I was assured he would play the songs I was requested. I emailed him my list and continued to email him up until the day before my party. As my party got started I could tell it was starting to drag, the music was not progressing in tempo and he wasn’t playing any of the songs on my list. People wanted to dance but just couldn’t get into the groove with the songs he was spinning-​I wanted more pitbull and JLo and he’s giving me Bruno Mars… Please! It felt like the air was being sucked out of the room. I flipped out and went over to his booth and told to start playing the songs I requested. This happened at least three times at my party completely stressing me out. Finally at the last hour he sort of got his act together but I was really unimpressed. My party planner had assured me this group is the best of the best for Orange County DJ’s. I don’t know what their other DJ’s are like, but pass on DJ Angel. I also did not like the owner’s response when I told him what had happened. He practically accused me of lying and no offer to refund some of their $ 2000 fee. Do yourself a favor and find another company… I am sure there are other quality DJ’s in the OC. Don’t settle for this.

Our venue and caterer work closely with Elevated Pulse and they came highly recommended to us. So of course we chose them. We really wanted Brian for our wedding, but he was booked. He assured us that his next best DJ was going to be with us on our wedding, Manny. We still met with Brian to go over our final details, and everything went flawless. Brian is very very knowledgable about music and timing (as he should be, right!). He gave us so many great suggestions, and we ran with them. Our wedding was flawless in regards to the music and announcements. Thank you so much guys!

We hired Brian for our February 2015 wedding & he was hands down one of the best vendors to work with. He has a genuine passion for what he does & it was a blessing to be able to share such a memorable day with a true professional.

Brian was awesome. I’m so glad that we got him as our DJ. He understood pacing and went along w/​all of our crazy requests! We had to request video game music for some of the songs and he totally worked with us to get all the songs. I also think it is great that he actually buys songs. It is great to work with someone who has high moral value.
The lights were also beautiful! We had them come in to do some string lighting and it ended up looking prefect. Everyone did a great job!
All you need to know is that Brian is a great DJ. Just stop looking at other DJs and go with him.

Brian and his team were amazing from our first call to the last song at the reception. They were fun to work with but also guided us along the process from picking the lighting to the right songs to get and keep the party going. The photo booth was a blast too and we got all of our guests pics. I cant recommend Brian and his team at Elevated Pulse enough! Thank you for making out reception a party to remember!

I had Brian as the DJ for my July 2014 wedding. He did such a phenomenal job! He found a way to play our style of music, while appealing to the entire crowd. He mixed in oldies sounds to current sounds and got all the generations dancing together without being cheesy. After hearing our toasts, he founds music to play that correlated to how/​where we met (again, without it being cheesy). We had 3 separate dance parties going on around our venue when the dance floor got too crowded. No one wanted to sit! He was professional, current, and personalized. I couldn’t be happier. You must book with Elevated Pulse!

Mike DJ’d our wedding. He was awesome! Everyone was dancing the whole time! DJ’s can really make or break a wedding, so I’m SO glad we went with Elevated Pulse! I definitely recommend them! They were very detail oriented. I felt like I had another wedding planner! Thanks, Elevated Pulse!

Angel was the DJ for our wedding in May 2014. He was phenomenal!
I had chosen a single song to be played for our ceremony processional, but somewhere between the bridesmaids and flower girl and ring bearers, the timing got off and I thought that the song would run out before my dad and I made it down the aisle. I shouldn’t have worried. Angel worked his magic and seamlessly looped the song between verses so that we had plenty of time and the song played out perfectly!
My husband was very particular about what kind of music he wanted played during different parts of the reception. He and Angel (and Brian, the owner) talked a few times, and worked out a few different playlists. Angel used those lists as a guide and was able to read the crowd to make adjustments and keep the party going. We were beyond happy and our guests had a fantastic time.
Working with Elevated Pulse Pro and their staff was great. They were very organized and very responsive to our emails and phone calls. We never had a problem getting in touch. Their online tools were a big help with planning, too. The best DJ service for a great price!

You cannot go wrong…5 stars from start to finish. These guys know what they are doing!!! Highly highly recommended for any party or wedding!

Elevated Pulse was recommend to us through our photographer and I am so glad we booked them for our wedding. Steve was our DJ/​MC and was great to work with. Brian made the booking process and music planning seamless with their online database of songs. Everyone had a great time at our wedding and the staff at elevated pulse were very professional and just overall awesome! We did not book them for lighting but they also do that too and based on pictures I’ve seen, they do not disappoint in that service as well!

Elevated Pulse is awesome. Our reception was sooo much fun bc of Brian Lee. He was a great MC and stuck with exactly what type of music we wanted throughout dinner, for particular dances, and for the later part of the night. We spoke a few times on the phone about what I wanted and what I didn’t want (mainly bc I’m very picky), and he was always very patient with me and was very helpful. They also have a great planning form online that makes the process that much easier. Honestly, best wedding DJ ever.

My husband and I hired Elevated Pulse after hearing good things through our venue Franciscan Gardens and wedding planner Holly of Simply Sweet Weddings! We are so glad we chose Elevated Pulse! We had no idea what songs to play for certain songs in the wedding (garter toss, boquet toss etc) and wasn’t sure what to expect so we set up a face to face meeting with Brian Lee and DJ Mike (who would be our DJ for the wedding). We felt VERY comfortable talking to them, and we felt immediately at ease knowing that the music for the wedding were in good hands! They gave good suggestions for the songs and we ended up choosing our songs for the wedding at the meeting. DJ Mike did a great job at the wedding… I have never seen my father dance as he did at the wedding, and it was so funny to see that! Thank you DJ Mike – you rock!!! =) I highly highly recommended Elevated Pulse for your wedding or any special events!
