First Direct Lending, LLC

I was basically lied to from this company. They continuously contacted me regarding a streamline loan. I finally decided to contact them and was led to believe that there would be no problem, despite the fact that I had just gotten solar using the hero program. I contacted Hero for them and they were very helpful in letting them know how to process everything so the streamline could go through; apparently, however, that was just too much work for them. The person dealing with my loan didn’t even have the courtesy to call and explain anything. I just got an email saying they couldn’t do it. I’ve already contacted another company who assured me that they can do a streamline for me with no problem. First Direct just doesn’t want to spend any extra time or do the extra work it takes. If you are one of the estimated 450,000 people who have used the Hero program, this is not your company.

I had a great Experience with FDL. Ryan, and Ruth was very helpful from beginning to the end. Scott answered all my payment questions very quickly. I would definitely recommend them to others for Re-​Financing.

Refi. cash out. Lower average credit score. Had no problems. They lowered our rate ¼ percent. They knew exactly what documentation they needed from us and never asked for more. Around 5 percent total cost. 25 days to closing. Good communication. Couldn’t expect a better experience.

The owner Matthew seems to be on top of things.

So I just completed my second loan with First Direct Lending. They kept to their word and I paid no lending cost. I got into a even better loan. This company is great! I will do another any time!

The only reason I’m giving them two stars was due to the responsiveness of Nat. Otherwise, my first refi took about 5 months. My second, shame on me was done in a month; however, when they say you will get refunded the appraisal fee that means don’t count on getting refunded. In fact, they meant credited to the loan not a separate check to cover the cost’s. I didn’t find out until after the loan closed, but had I known I would have went with my original broker, who later informed me of the outrageous fees I was charged by first direct. I’m very upset with the fact that their fees are so high. When they say there isn’t a fee, think twice about that, there is always a fee.

Horrible. Avoid at all costs and I mean all costs!!! Employees overstated loan specs, were slow and unresponsive until it came time to stick the knife in with a horrible loan, and then got extremely rude when I didn’t want to accept there terrible loan. They apologized after realizing they were forwarding me emails where they were disrespectful about me, but I feel that was the norm and not the exception. Don’t do it no matter how bad you need a loan which I did, I’m glad I wised up before it was too late.

These guys are just a scam waste of time. They just cherry pick the easier apps and don’t bother calling you back if your not an auto approval. Stay away typical boiler room operation!

Do not do business with this company! I was not solicited to but sought this company out. I did what I thought was my due diligence. I was led on for almost a month being informed that I was in underwriting. I didn’t realize anything was wrong until another person in the company called me asking if my husband and I were still interested in refinancing because there is a new product that we may qualify for. When I informed him that I was supposed to be closing the loan at the end of the month… he was shocked and said he would look into it. Needless to say my loan officer, and I use that term loosely, Amir, sent me an email saying they couldn’t proceed. Just a warning to all, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

BEWARE if you received a letter to refinance. The letter states that I can refinance at a rate of 3.374% (3.68 APR). This is substantially lower than other quotes I received so I was doubtful. I called to get more information about the offer, gave a bunch of personal information, and than was asked for my social security (I have excellent credit and quite a bit of equity in the property). Needless to say, he refused to tell me if the offer was legitimate and stated he could only give me a quote if they ran my credit. Forget it! Very unprofessional not to answer my question prior to running my credit.
Beware if you receive a letter… sounds like a bait and switch!

Kashi stayed with us from the beginning til the end of the process. We would like to acknowledge his and the teams customers service, they spoke our language. We are free from debt and onto credit recovery. Thank you for the experience.

BEWARE!!! Did my due diligence and checked out this company after getting a random phone call. Spent well over 2 hrs of my time with Justin doing all the papers for a refi. Thought everything was good — he said everything was good and proceeded to do a credit inquiry (which I was hesitant to do). Their credit score came back over 100 points lower than the 3 I ran. I also was upfront, right at the beginning, regarding late payments and was told that would not be a deciding factor (turns out it IS!) Was told I would get a call back in 3 hours with refi specifics and a week later had to hunt Justin down to learn that «we are not moving forward with your loan» turns out he had personal reasons for not getting back to me during the week but he should have called me last week before this happened.
THANKS for nothing… but they do have a nice website and are great at leading you on…

First Direct Lending was awesome — I recently moved to the area and was brand-​new to the home buying experience and my credit wasn’t perfect — but they helped get me a great rate and explained the whole process throughout so I was comfortable every step of the way. Customer service was top notch — really made me feel like a person and not a mortgage number — I look forward to referring them to my friends who are looking to buy and refinance! I’m so glad I chose First Direct!
