Fix My AC

Fix My AC is my go-​to HVAC company. They are professional, courteous, and their prices are always reasonable. Whether it is for my AC or the heating unit, my phone calls have been answered, or returned promptly, they arrive at at the agreed upon time and the work is completed, usually the same day; one time a part had to be ordered and they picked it up and installed it the following day. I will continue to make Fix My AC the first HVAC company I call for service. Many thanks to Avi and Cecelia for their continued great service.

I found this company on Unilocal and they are definitely a 5 Star Company. I had a leak coming from an overflow valve during a recent hot spell. The appt. was scheduled immediately and once we described the problem to Avi he immediately knew it was a clog in the a/​c drain. They knew exactly what to do and pricing was most reasonable. Avi and Ceclia are personable, knowledgeable, and professional! I’m a Property Manager in Orange County and will be certain to call on Fix My A/​C when any of our properties have heating and/​or A/​C problems!

Great service! We called on Sunday, they called back same day and we scheduled for Monday. 2 hour window, 12−2… Arrived at 12:15, diagnosed and repaired (blown capacitor) and were done at 12:45. Highly recommend!

Our AC broke in the middle of a blazing hot day. They came out within a few hours and saved us from melting that night from the heat. They were professional, punctual and a huge life saver for us. Would highly recommend!

5 Stars all the way. These people are awesome! My wife called them 9÷9÷15 at 9am and they were out to my house by 1pm. Avi and Cecilia are very nice and pleasant to deal with.
Both of them know exactly what it takes to give great service. We were having a heat wave in Orange County and we called them based on reviews from fellow Unilocalers because were were in bind with our existing AC company.
Within 15 minutes or less, they figured out the issue with our AC unit and had it back up running in about 40 minutes.
I highly recommend them. They are very easy to work with and fantastic. Honest and the price was very reasonable for the work and service they provided.
This place totally gets the concept of the customer service and I would not hesitate to use them going forward. Once they were done with my repair, they were off to service the next customer.

Called them in Wednesday evening. And they came to fix in Thursday evening. We really appreciate their help because it is 100 degree these days

Called them on a Sunday and they were at our house in less than 30 minutes. Unheard of service. Although they had to order a part they rushed it and by Tuesday we were back in business.
Easy to work with. Super nice. Would recommend them without reservation. Fantastic.

95 degrees outside. Knew the AC wasn’t blowing warm at 2pm. Called Fix My AC @ 3pm — Cecilia recognized my voice from one service over a year ago. They were over later in the day. Avi is exceedingly polite, funny and knowledgeable. They quoted a very fair price to replace the dual capacitor. No up sell. 30 minutes later we were up and running. I can’t recommend Fix My AC more — they are always friendly, personable, arrive on time, knowledgeable and offer first class service at a very fair price. Family owned and operated.

I called during a heatwave and was able to get an appointment for the following day. We had been without air conditioning for over a year and had another company out who told us we needed a new unit with an estimate of $ 6700. Avi came out, quickly figured out the problem and had our air conditioning running in 30 minutes. I highly recommend Fix My Air they are honest with great customer service!!!

Excellent customer service. Cecilia was able to get a tech out to us on the same day I called. My schedule was somewhat erratic but she was willing to work with me and give me a call before the techs arrived. There’s a heat wave right now so I was very impressed that they were able to get someone right away.
Even more impressive, they were able to replace the broken capacitor immediately! We had cool air blowing by the time they left. So thrilled.

I highly recommend Fix My AC. We had been living without AC for almost two years because another AC company told us that we had to replace our entire unit, which would cost between $ 6k-​$ 8k. Fix My AC said that «old (AC) does not mean bad (AC)» and were able to fix my entire unit for about $ 275. Very nice people and super dependable!

Avi and Cecilia are the best HVAC people I have ever come across! Genuinely honest and caring, and really accommodating.
They came after hours and on a weekend during a heatwave. I called several companies and none were available for days. They did not charge a higher service fee and came a few hours after I called.
They easily diagnosed my problem. It was a two part issue, one they could take care of right away and another that required special ordering a component. They were very patient and professional, taking the time to explain to me the technical side of things and also my available options. They educated me on what could be done and what was their recommendation, but ultimately left it up to me to decide. They didn’t say, well all this has to be unnecessarily replaced and it will cost an outrageous amount. (Which happened to me with another company I had come by before for the same issue.)
Because of my work schedule and young toddler son, I had only small windows of time open. They kept in touch with me over texting for the few days the component was on order and arranged an appointment after hours on a weekday. They even switched around appointments with another customer to accommodate me. Having a young toddler in a heat wave, they understood this was an important matter to me that would preferably be addressed as soon as possible. The installation went quickly and without a hitch. They tested everything thoroughly, even measuring temperatures from several vents on two floors of my home to ensure everything was functioning at optimum level. The whole time they were educating me on AC systems. Strangely enough it seemed as I was taking AC 101, which was very welcomed and appreciated. When it came time for them to bill me, I was informed that they gave me the wrong estimate for this service. At this point, what do you usually think? You usually think, oh here it comes, they are going to charge me more and rip me off right? But they told me they estimated too low for the part (it cost more), but would honor that estimate they originally gave me and eat the cost! How’s that for honesty and integrity?
I also asked them to check on another component of my AC system that was installed by someone else previously. I felt there maybe an issue with that part and for them to check and test it. They were very concerned that I was concerned about this part and recommended changing it because it was not within spec and they could not warranty it along with their installed component. THEY CHARGED ME NOTHING FOR THIS. Nothing for the labor and nothing for the part! Who does that? Well they did, and this part cost me a few hundred dollars previously!
I’m extremely impressed with this company. They are a family run business with good morals and values, rare these days. They had lots of opportunity to nickel and dime me, overcharge me. But they didn’t. They treated me like a good friend. Someone who takes the time to make you comfortable and relaxed, genuinely. They weren’t doing that to set me up for a pitch or something dirty like that. Even after I paid them, they continued to follow up with me to ensure I was a happy and satisfied customer. They encouraged me to contact them for any reason at all. I’ve already referred them to co-​workers and friends. If you want knowledgeable, honest, and fair priced HVAC service, please call these guys!

Came out on a Sunday (to Irvine). Were clear about when they would arrive, and when they knew they would be towards the end of the stated time window, nicely called to let us know. Figured out quickly what was wrong with our AC; fixed it in 10 minutes. No attempt at upselling etc. Reasonable bill. Quite straightforward and honest. AC now works! Would definitely call them again.

Just called to ask if there any opening/​availability today to come to check my AC, the lady with very heavy accented English answered and won’t give me the answer unless I gave her my address.
I didn’t answer at first and the lady told me she need my address first.
After i gave her my address then she answer «unfortunately we cant help you at the moment because we have a big project, we can’t help you and have to wait for several weeks!».
WTH, whats the point asking my address if you know you can’t help people because of the big project?
AVOID! Perhaps they want to know your address because they have hidden motives?
Some guy names Ted W emailed and asked me to remove this post or give this post 5 stars, said that I should thank this company for NOT coming.
What the hell!
Anyway my ac was fixed in less than 15min, only spend $ 150 for the service and the material, so thats why probably they didn’t want to come, because I wasn’t money makinf client for them !
AVOID BIG TIME, shady company !

Fix My AC was courteous and service was excellent! AC went down late Friday evening, and called Saturday morning at 11 AM to schedule an appointment between 12pm and 4pm. They arrived at 12:30pm and was able to identify and fix the problem within minutes (needed new dual capacitator). Thank you again to Fix My AC and I highly recommend their services!

I called Fix My AC as second opinion about 9 months ago.
They arrived on time as scheduled. They took their time to listen to what I had to say, then they went to check my A/​C system.
They said they can fix it for $ 250.
I was very skeptical about their diagnostic as they were company # 4 to come out.
All the other 3 companies said I needed a new system.
When I pointed that out to Avi, the tech on site, his answer was «If what I want to do does not do the trick, I will not charge you for it.»
What did I have to lose? So I said OK, go for it.
After about 20 minutes he asked me to run the system from the thermostat inside the house.
To my big surprise, the system outside started to work (what a nice sound!) and after 5 minutes I started to feel cold air coming from the vents.
I didn’t post my review until now as I wanted to try the system for a few months.
I am happy to say it is still working.
Fix My AC saved me thousands of dollars.
They are honest, professional and friendly. I am not going to use any other A/​C company as long as Fix My AC is around.

I’m explaining exactly what needs to be done. I’m explaining using the language known as English. I’m usually simple terms to make it easy. I’m talking about my Air Conditioning unit. Where the cold air is made for the home. I’m explaining so I don’t need 10 people coming out to «charge» me in order to tell me what you’re going to actually CHARGE me. A trip charge is a waste of my money after paying the last poacher to get his estimate. I’m explaining in the same language this review is in. That would be English. «Double You. Tee. Eff».

I am so grateful for he team at Fix My AC! I’ve been traveling a lot, and my daughter has been running the air non-​stop day/​night for the entire month. When I came home from a trip on Friday 08/​22, I opened the windows at night to save energy and enjoy the (finally) cooler evenings. The next day, I went to turn on the air, and it just didn’t seem to be getting cool. I’m no expert, so I started reading stuff on the Internet and tried everything — from changing the filters to checking for debris around the unit outside. Nothing worked, so I just suffered through the HOT weekend (mostly by staying out of the house), and I looked for options on Monday morning.
Thankfully, Fix My AC showed up on my Google search, and I read every single Unilocal review and gave them a call. When I called, I was told they would try to squeeze me in within 1 – 2 hours. Well, they arrived in 40 minutes, determined that the capacitor on my unit was bad, replaced it and confirmed the air was cooling — all within 35 minutes of their arrival! When they replaced the capacitor, advised me that the motor may have been over heating while operating with a bad capacitor and to keep watch on it for the next week or so. They also told me that if the motor should go out, the price I paid for the capacitor would apply toward the motor replacement. Well, it’s been a week and a half, and my AC is blowing well and feeling colder than ever.
I can’t thank this team enough. They were so very efficient, friendly and FAST! I even posted on my Facebook page what a great job they did, and I would recommend them to any and all of my friends in OC (oh, and even to people who aren’t my friends).

Super friendly, fast, professional, honest, fair, reasonable and the list goes on.
Not sure if they are a couple, but sounds like everyone knows they are. In any case, they arrived on time, got a confirmation call before they arrived and went though a checkpoint checkup just like a car shop.
These guys are really quick and tell you whats up by showing you so you dont feel like they are blowing crap up your ass.
It may actually feel like they are not doing anything because they are quick and dont say shit that doesn’t need to be said or identify fixes that dont require fixing.
I will call them again when my AC needs to be replaced.
