Dr. Wong is wonderful — very thorough, knowledgable, and pleasant! The facility is super clean, with the latest exam equipment, and all of the staff I encountered were really friendly. Everyone seems happy there which is a good sign. The frame selection is also nice with great brands like Salt, Tom Ford, etc. I highly recommend this place — you will be in great hands!

I love this place! The staff is always kind, friendly, and helpful and Dr. Cho is wonderful! After having visited other optometrists in the area, I had decided that I would be subject to the usual upsell that *is* Southern California business. I was pleasantly surprised with For Eyes, however, and did not feel that I was being cheated or oversold on their products. Yes, the frames are not the cheapest, but they have a nice selection plus you get the benefit of your insurance when buying through the business! I’ve recommended them to many others.

I’m hopping on this 5 star celebration from all customers. I recently had a rejuvenating experience with Dr Cho and the team. I got burned by another local practice and went to Dr Cho. There are not enough good words to flatter the team. Courteous, reaching out, caring, clear and on time communication. The service was just excellent, highly professional. They worked out a lot of beaurocracy and other challenges with super tight time lines for me. Thanks you all again.
Now I got my new progressive pair and put them on with just a few ours our acclimatization. Very good job. Too bad I’m moving away, I would have adopted this place.

This place had high Unilocal reviews so decided to give them a try. So glad I did. Dr Cho was a hoot, she’s super knowledgeable and friendly. There is a reason this place gets five stars. It’s legit. Dr Cho is super thorough because that was a longer eye exam than what I’m used to. She gave me free eye relief drops because I was complaining about the Cali dry air.

I’m happy with my initial appointment with Dr. Cho. The office staff were polite and efficient, and you can book appointments via the INTERNETZ which is awesome. Dr. Cho offered samples of the contacts and didn’t pressure me to buy anything. She was informative and kind. I’m ecstatic that they are open on Saturdays because I’m the type of person that would rather have my leg cut off than waste PTO for a doctors visit.

I’m 24 and have had perfect vision all my life, so this was my first real eye exam ever. Intern, Jeremy, started me off with a few basic eye tests. He was very nice and explained everything very clearly. Doctor Wong performed the rest of the tests, explained everything thoroughly, and was also very very nice. Lastly, Linda was able to help me pick out the perfect lenses and perfect frames to compliment me and my needs. She is such a sweetheart. All of the staff at For Eyes Optometry are so great. I highly recommend them for your next eye exam.

I’ve been coming to For Eyes for close to a year now, and every time I’ve come here it’s always pleasant and professional. The staff is friendly and helpful, and my experience is always the best.

I’ve been a regular at For Eyes Optometry for a few years now, and I must say I am pleasantly surprised by how the service continues exceed my expectations every time I visit.
Upon arrival, Meaghan, the office manager, offered me water and proceeded to quickly and smoothly take me through the routine pre-​optometrist exams. (I even got retinal images!)
After Meagan took down all the necessary measurements, I got to meet Dr. Wong. Dr. Wong had just started at For Eyes Optometry since my last visit, and I was happy I had an appointment with him. He was kind and attentive. He answered all my questions regarding the changes in my vision since my last visit and how to minimize eyestrain. I appreciated his attention to my eye care needs and modifications on my prescription to prevent eyestrain.

Wow, what a great team. The office staff are amazing and super helpful, the Doctors are friendly and very customer service driven. On top of the outstanding service they have a great selection of glasses with extremely reasonable prices. I wouldn’t go anywhere else, and I’m so happy to have such wonderful Optometrists. Oh my! Where should I begin?!
I went to this place to get eye exam on 12/​31/​2015, they were one of few places that still had appointment available for the last week of dec.
Eye exam went fine, Dr Cho had great bedside manner and was patient and polite. I have had Lasik just 5 years ago and I guess now I have nearsightedness of 100 in right eye and 25 on left eye. Doctor suggested me to get TWO pairs of glasses, one for nighttime driving and one for computer. (Thought this was a bit excessive, to each their own)
My biggest issue came with the glasses selection process. All their frames are pretty much $ 289 and above. Issues i encountered:
1) no explanation of different types of lens, I was basically told the lens copay was $ 73 and $ 61 (anti-​glare). I was not offered different option for lens (I subsequently found out from vsp I could have gotten a plastic Lens for free, which was never communicated to me at this place). When vsp rep called them to ask why I was never offered the free option, the doctor and the billing lady both told vsp they had told me the free lens option (this is a complete lie), dr cho only spent a minute to comment on which glasses looked better on me, and I never even talked to this billing lady until 5 days after my visit when I had billing question. The one I did talk to was the office manager and she def did not tell me there was the free lens option!
2) rayban frame with msrp $ 160 are being sold for $ 289 at this place. I was being charged more than my friends who had prada frames!!! When I asked this place why are their prices that much higher than even the RayBan company website, I did not get a good response.
3) they accidentally charged my card twice! Yep, got charged $ 316.2 twice. I am not sure how that’s possible but it happened.
4) overall I didn’t have a good feeling about this place and in all honesty I am not ready to wear glasses again, only 5 years after lasik. So I asked them if I can cancel my order, they repeatedly told me they will check with vsp, they promised they will let me know, and every time they don’t call me back, I had to call to find out and the answer was always no it’s too late. So finally I called vsp and they were able to cancel it after I explained to them my issues with this place.
I am very perplexed at all the great reviews on Unilocal!I suppose if u value service more than price, this place does provide great service. I am poor and cheap, so this place is not for me. I am relieved to be able to cancel this disastrous order, but I lost the ability to get glasses for 2015 since I procrastinated. That’s a small price to pay. I am so relieved!

Dr. Cho has a great bedside manner and is very knowledgable, plus she is a Bruin (GO BRUINS!). Not only have they taken care of all of our glasses and contact needs, but when I scratched my eye she was there to help me ASAP. She is very professional and just generally makes the whole optometry experience very pleasant.
The office staff/​front desk staff is also very nice! They have been great when helping us pick glasses or whenever we come in to pick anything up.
Just an all around very nice experience!

Love Dr. Cho and the staff at For Eyes Optometry! I came here for the pre– and post op for Lasik. I had a lot of dryness and some blurred vision after my Lasik and Dr. Cho was really thorough. She always took time during my visits. I never felt rushed, and I felt like I was able to ask questions. Also, I like that she was honest. There were a couple of times when she didn’t have answers to my questions. She said she would ask NVISION (my lasik place) for answers and get back to me. And she did.
Their customer service is excellent. During one of my pre-​op visits, they forgot to dilate my eyes. I had just gotten home from my visit when they called saying I had to come back. I had to drive back to Irvine from Orange. I didn’t really mind since I’m of the mindset that everyone makes mistakes now and then, but my husband was pretty annoyed. (He demands excellence! Lol.) When I got back to the office, they had a Starbuck gift card for me and they apologized repeatedly. Also, it was Dr. Cho that came out and handed me the gift card saying sorry. I think it’s those little things that show that they care about their patients. If the practice owner makes that concerted effort, it’s going to trickle down to the rest of the support staff.
At my last post-​op visit, they were giving out Nothing But Bundt cakes to their repeat clients. I think it was around Thanksgiving season. Needless to say, I was really touched. I work at a veterinary marketing agency and deal with a lot of animal healthcare practices. It’s nice to see that level of thought and appreciation in a healthcare practice — even if it’s for 2-​legged patients. =)

Dr Cho is very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and through. I was finally able to wear contacts for my long-​hour-​in-​front-​of-​computer workdays! And this is after seeing different optometrists without sucess for 2 years. Thanks to Dr. Cho!
Unfortunately the management of trial records is pretty chaotic. There seemed a problem to identify which trials I was referring to — I was not asked to remember all the prescription data I tried on. And since they told me to throw away the trial packages when I put a pair on in the office, I would expect the office to record the prescription data.
This almost led to a failure of the fitting. And it wasted time.
I would still recommend Dr Cho, but be sure to keep the record of every trial you put on BY YOURSELVES.

Great optometry office! I just came in today to have a pair of glasses made and they made them so fast in the office! Amazing service.
Dr. Cho and Wong are both very friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. The office is very clean and new and I felt really taken care of when I visited today.

Minus getting my eyes burnt by a thousand suns and trying not to blink too much during the examination, I’d say For Eyes Optometry is the place to go.
Everyone there is very cordial and welcoming. Dr. Cho is easy to talk to. She answered all my questions very well. The whole process was smooth.
I had the option of getting my pupils dilated or retinal imaging. The retinal imaging cost extra (~$ 28). I’m a cheapskate so I went for the dilation. I haven’t gotten my eyes dilated in so long that I thought I’d be okay but boy was I wrong. CAUTION: only get your eyes dilated if someone is there to drive for you. Better safe than sorry. I wished I had just gotten the retinal imaging. T. T Regrets.
I went in to get contact lenses and the prices are reasonable. Dr. Cho gave me two types of (daily) lenses to try out to see what I like. She had me wear a pair on my way out. Options, gotta love options.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but a couple of hours later my lenses started to «fog» up. You know when your eyes well up in tears and your vision looks blurry. I freaked out a little and took the lenses out and saw some sort of residue bunched up in the center on both of them. Ew and Gross. It’s probably residue buildup from the solutions used for the dilation process. SEE! Just get the retinal imaging.

I had such a great experience at For Eyes Optometry, that I had to «break up» with my former eye doctor. Not only are they knowledgable and efficient, they are all so friendly. They have a great team. :)

Dr. Cho got in contact with me to explain and apologize for the misunderstanding, as the originally quoted price for the contact lens fitting of $ 90 – 120 was correct.
I decided to go in for the contact lens fitting, and Dr. Wong apologized for the misunderstanding as well. The whole appointment went smoothly, and everyone acted in a friendly and professional manner.
I went in again for a follow-​up appointment, where Dr. Wong addressed my concerns about new contacts I decided to try. I was quite impressed with how much the staff is willing to accomodate the patients’ needs and explain things thoroughly.

Went in today and I can confirm that all the reviews here are honest and true. Setting up the appointment was a breeze and they sent me a reminder via email and phone about my appointment.
The actual appointment itself was really easy and the entire staff is extremely friendly and hospitable. Dr. Cho is amazing and she really gets bedside manner. This place 100% deserves the 5 stars that they have.
Also, at no point did I feel pressured by the staff to purchase a pair of glasses then and there. They understood I had to get back to work and told me it’s no trouble at all for me to come back in whenever to get the glasses.
Really great experience and I’ll be recommending this place to anyone who is looking for a good optometrist.

I was so happy after my eye exam yesterday. My exam for glasses and contact lenses was done within 30 minutes (perfect since I was on my lunch break!). I saw Dr. Wong last year and this year I had Dr. Cho. Both doctors were very kind and informative. The woman at the front desk was super nice and the intern who did my pretesting was nice too. They take my insurance VSP and my visit was so affordable! I received a trial pair of contact lenses and Dr. Cho recommended another brand of lenses for me and gave me a second pair to try! So awesome! The office is soooooooooo clean and pretty. At the end, I got a little goodie bag for coming back again this year. WIN!!!
Also, I was informed that when I order my contacts, they usually will have them available by the next day. Much faster than Costco!!! I will continue coming to this office and I will recommend it to all my friends and family.
