Horrible and way overpriced for what you’re paying for. Fine, you’re in Irvine spectrum so you can charge more based on convenience next to the kiddie playground.
If you’re getting gel, tack on an additional $ 20 to whatever package you’re getting.
Are the chairs massage chairs? Not sure, but mine sure wasn’t.
My lady also had the nerve to keep trying to tell me to change my color I chose and then ask me if that was how much tip I was giving her after she already sold me short on a supposed 10 min foot massage (she only did 7 min!)
Beware, I warned you about this place and it’s a chain too!

I gave this place some stars for convenience. Since it is located at the Irvine Spectrum it is convenient to get your nails done. There is never really a wait and the service is why.
If you are looking for a place to get a decent mani or pedi don’t come here. They should send all their employees back to school.
I had a pedicure, the lady sprayed water everywhere, was on her phone, could not speak English, her massage was a quick run of the calves and didn’t even touch my feet.
The lady doing my mani was decent, but on the phone too and distracted by other things.
I decided to get a shoulder massage. This was the worst massage in history! They do it at your seat so the poor woman is struggling behind your chair and it is extremely uncomfortable. Then, she decided to beat my neck and do whatever she thought was a massage which was more like milking a cow. I had to tell her to stop.
I would skip this place and head to somewhere else. Very expensive too for a two star service.

I was kindly greeted by the girl at the front desk. I got my eyebrows done here a few days ago they did a great job

Jennifer is my go to person for waxing. Even though there is a happy nails closer to my house I always chose to come here instead. I always feel comfortable and know my eyebrows/​lip are going to come out great with her :)

I’ve been going to this salon for a few months and I really enjoy it. The salon is really clean and the girls are nice. I’m surprised at the low reviews because its a great place to get pamper and unwind. I would definitely recommend it!

I went here to get my gel removed. It was $ 12 for that which is very high for only removing the gel from my nails. The place is not very clean and they rush to get things done. They do have business because it is located at the Spectrum in Irvine, however I would recommend checking out other places in Irvine.

Should have paid more attention to the reviews.
Came here for a relaxing Mother’s Day mani/​pedi because it was in a convenient location, but wish I would have gone elsewhere.
The place smells like fumes. You get used to it while you are sitting there, but it can’t be good for anyone.
The ladies were friendly and my pedicurist was very thorough. She did a good job on my toes. At one point the massage lotion bags that they put your feet into burned my feet.
I was disappointed in my nails. You get what you pay for I guess. The base coat and top coat were both goopy and old, and the nail polish required three coats because it was so streaky. If you look closely in the picture who can see how goopy the top layer is and how the way she applied it, it doesn’t even cover my whole nail.
Came to $ 46 with tip (I paid before they painted), and I think that was too much for the poor quality.
Update: three days later and my manicure is already (unsurprisingly) chipping.

Lisa was so nice and did a great job on my pedicure! I asked for a design on my big toe, she got creative for me and they look awesome. She gave a fabulous massage as well

The management contacted me and apologized and sent a gift card to make up for the bad experience. I will give them another try and see how it goes. hopefully it will be better.

This is my second time here after my first experience which was not very pleasant.
This time i got my nails done and the guy who was working on my nails was constantly frustrated by my request and made me feel more stressed. I paid over 100 and my nails right now as I’m looking at them are all crooked and unparalleled. He did not do an organized job and i am upset, but I ended up tipping him big because I felt bad for him, but he constantly told me «I’m giving him a hard time». All i was saying to him was to fix my nails because my nails did not look straight so i was just asking him to fix it and he would get upset.
Overall my experience was nowhere near a relaxing experience. I was constantly stressed and given attitude, I didn’t say anything to the manager because the manager was actually very nice lady so I didn’t complain. But i don’t think i will ever go back. I paid so much for a stressful and unorganized nail job.

I walked into this happy nails after a job interview and had to use the rest room I waited at the front counter and a woman slowly turned and looked at me from across the room walked up to me slowly and said may I help you. I asked with a humble smile «may I please use your rest room». She looked me up and down and gave a slight pause then said get out the rest rooms are for customers only. I was so embarrassed other patrons smirked and chuckled as she pointed her finger for me to leave.
I visit happy nails on Main Street and Harvard in irvine every 2 weeks and have never been treated or snubbed by them I am very unhappy with this treatment from this snooty woman and would never in a million go to this location nor recommend them.

I’ve tried numerous nail salons in south Orange County and this is by far my favorite! They ladies here are super friendly and always do a great job! I highly recommend Emily, she does the best gel nails. I’m loyal to her because my nails typically last 2 – 3 weeks, I never have that anywhere else!

Very busy, wasn’t given a wait time but only to pick out a color and wait. Sat in suspense for over 10 minutes with no update. Full but none of the customers I saw looked happy. Sadly, had to get up. The hostess didn’t care to acknowledge my absence as I headed out their glass doors and front. m

Picked the middle package for the 10 min massage and I hit the timer on my phone when she started, she stopped at 4 min 28 sec. I clarified I got the 10 min massage package and she just nodded and said yes. Ridiculous! Won’t be coming here again

I scheduled an appointment and had to wait 30 minutes or so to be helped. I was a bit surprised that the lady who works the front desk did not apologize not offer us water. She seemed to have avoided making eye contact. The nail technicians doing my manicure and pedicure were friendly and quick. This made up for the long wait. Cute nail polish colors to choose from. I usually end up with the DND brand to match my toes with my nails. I’ve been to better nail salons but their prices are definitely reasonable. Is it even worth making an appointment next time?!
**Updated Review** Kimberly, the General Manager responded to my review. She was apologetic for the wait experienced in light of having an appointment. Ownership was accepted and a gift certificate for future service was sent. The apology note and gift certificate are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Love my nail girl Trini! She does amazing work, very meticulous! Please ask for her! I won’t go anywhere else, very convenient at the mall.

I’ve been coming here for 2 years now and love it! Reason is for Linda. The minute she started doing my nails I noticed the difference from all the other nails salons I’ve been. Plus she takes her time. I do recommend calling ahead to schedule an appointment, but they do take in walk ins.
Lisa started doing my feet a few months ago. And she is the best there for feet in my opinion. She takes her time and is helping me get my feet on track.
I’ve now introduced my just to Lisa for his feet and he loved her work.
Plus everyone has always been very kind to me in this location. I recommend this place 100%

Everytime I’ve come to Happy Nails (this location for sure, but others as well), I have noticed that the quality of my manicure or pedicure sucks! For example, by the end of my workout at the gym (which would be a couple days or so after I’ve been here), my pedicure would be chipped or some toes would be fully removed! This is the only place that I have experience this.
Also, after two weeks, my gel manicure would actually starts peeling off on its own. On average, a gel manicure should still look presentable for at least 3 weeks, even though the nail has grown out. I’m convinced they water down their nail polish and purchase the poorest quality. I don’t recommend this place at all.

I was helped in a timely manner but my nails were rushed and they look pretty bad. I spent $ 40 for pink and white full set. Arcylic everywhere the shape is off and they aren’t cleaned up. I was helped by Nancy who is very friendly but the craft is just not there. The last I was there my nails looked amazing.
