Irvine Montessori School

It has been more than a year since my son joined Irvine Montessori. We’ve toured many schools and finally chose this school for him. And we are very happy with the choice we made. The teachers here are awesome! They love what they do. I see a lot of change in my son from the time he has joined here. Taking from Ms. Katrina & Ms. Teresa of toddler 1 class, Ms. Isela & Ms. Pamela of toddler 2 and Ms. Fazreen & Ms. Ayla of the Preschool class now, all have been very warm and loving towards my son. He is always overjoyed wheb he talks about his teachers and about what he does at school.
I do have to mention about Melissa at the front desk. She always greets you with a warm smile and you can call the school umpteen times to check on your child. The school encourages it too. You can discuss about your childs growth with his teacher and work together on it. All in all, this is a great school where your child not just learns but is also super happy!

My daughter has attended this school for 5 months and we love it. She first started school here when she was 2 years old and she has learned so much. One of the first things I noticed after a few weeks of school is her English. She started speaking a lot more.
I like that the school is very clean and organized. All the teachers are very friendly to the children. This is a great place to bring your children if you are serious about giving them quality education.
I recommend this school to anyone that values quality education, sincere care, cleanliness, organization, and friendly people.

Well, I’m sad to say my daughter’s time here is coming to an end. She started preschool here when she was 3 and now she is 5 in Kindergarten there! I cannot begin to tell you how glad I am that we chose to send her to Irvine Montessori School. It was the first preschool we looked at and from the beginning, the teachers were all so nice and welcoming. Her preschool teacher did an amazing job with our daughter for 2 years. She would come home with new things she learned every single day and it would amaze us how much she learned and retained at such a young age. By the time she was 4, she was able to sing days of the week in Spanish, spoke Mandarin words, read small words, knew her alphabet sounds, etc. Once she moved to Kindergarten not too long ago, she was learning about painters and composers, simple addition, and also did a science fair — YES, a science fair in which she always explains to us that «a tornado is made when hot air and cold air form a vortex». She is only 5! These kids get such a good education here and the parent-​teacher ratio is perfect so that every child gets the attention they need. Not to toot my own horn, but you can tell the difference between Montessori educated children and regular schooled children. They are really well behaved in class and are actually learning as opposed to a normal preschool, which is more of a «day-​care» like environment. All the teachers know my daughter by name and every single day, she gives hugs to the front desk teachers and tells them about her day or upcoming weekend. Oh and another thing, they also offer sports and activities that my daughter has participated in — such as soccer, tennis, dance, clay painting, field trips, etc. Hot lunches are also offered to make it easy on the parents who don’t have time to pack lunch and would like their kids to have a good lunch. They also offer morning care and after school care as well for those parents who work during the day. This will be my daughter’s last month here as she is moving up, but we are so grateful for the teachers and staff who took care of our daughter for the past few years! I never had to worry about her while she was at school!

My daughter has been going here for almost a year and she could not be happier. She loves going to school every morning. The teachers are fantastic. She started in daycare and now in P4 class. Could not be happier.

Ms Mary is incredibly polite and kind. Best of all, she keeps the place running smoothly and keeps it immaculate which I love! My son hasn’t been there very long but from the times I’ve visited and stood at his class window to watch, I can see that his teacher spends personal time with him to teach him discipline and order such as cleaning his own area and following instructions. What can I say, as parents one wants the best for their children, and thus far I sleep well knowing my son is at a place such as this. Thank you Ms Mary.

Where do I start? My son has been attending Irvine Montessori School for the past 9 months and not only do I love it but my son loves attending! Being a first time mom I was nervous about leaving my precious baby all day while I was at work. My son attended a daycare before Irvine Montessori and I was constantly battling colds and employee changes. Irvine Montessori has completely put my mind to ease. My son sings songs, can count to twenty, and already knows his days of the week at two years old (I’m impressed). My son comes home with arts and crafts all based on holidays, seasons, and special events. Goodies for the fridge and my desk at work =) lol. Not only is my son learning but he is happy, safe, and germ free (he’s yet to come home with a cold). The staff is great always smiling and full of energy for the little ones. Ms Tiffany is an angel, shes so paitent with my son who can be a handful at times. I highly recommend this school to any parent that is looking for a safe, friendly, learning environment for there little one.

My daughter has been attending this school for a while now. She has learned so much since being at this school. All of her teachers engage with her and constantly let me know how she is progressing, she is in kindergarten and is learning at a 1^st grade level and beyond ! Highly recommend if your looking to advance your child. As soon as my son is of age, he will attend as well.

Let me begin by saying, I researched every single Montessori in Irvine and surrounding cities. Irvine Montessori was by far the cleanest school I visited. But more important than cleanliness, I wanted to know my little 18 month old baby boy would be loved and nurtured. Irvine Montessori was the best decision that we made. He is now 3.5 years old. He started in toddler 1, moved to toddler 2 and now he is in Ms. Michelle’s preschool class. There are a lot of hugs and love that are given to our little ones. Not only are they heard and nurtured but the children advance quite a bit academically. My son started reading and spelling right before he turned 3!!! I LOVE this school and would highly recommend it. We live in North Tustin and commute to this school because it is the BEST!

Both my kids attended preschool here. Great teachers and front office. Ms Michelle is fantastic as a teacher. Firm, sweet, dedicated and the kids love her. Ms Melissa the director is always courteous, professional, friendly and kind. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a preschool or kindergarten program. My daughter really benefited by having the head start from Montessori. She’s in 2^nd grade now and reading junior high level books. My son is currently there and really progressing well. I always get comments on how advanced his vocabulary and thinking are.

My first daughter, who’s now 8, at 4 years old reminded me to enroll her then baby sister into Irvine Montessori. She and I have been fans of this school for a long time. Before enrolling here, we checked out 2 other Montessori’s, but was only impressed by the playground equipment. Irvine Montessori showed me more engagement between teacher and student during my tour. I’m sure the kids was not acting at that time. My now 4 year old, who was afraid of separating from me, attended toddler class in the summer and that really eased her into loving school. She’s very comfortable and had to always say bye to Ms. Maria everyday. Ms. Maria did a great job in one month to get her off her favorite pull-​ups.
Both my girls have experienced teacher changes, leaving the school or changing class, but they never complained about it. I was uncertain whether this would affect them, but my daughters were fine. They’re sad for a day, but the next day they brag about their new teacher. My girls adapt fast and the quality of learning does not deter. The new teacher always reassures me that they will get to know my girls and do the best for them. I have seen it countless times how my girls just won’t work/​corporate at home, but the teachers are able to do the opposite! They come home very proud to show me progress and completed work.
I’m glad Ms. Melissa put my 2^nd daughter in Ms. May’s class. Ms. May, like all the other head teachers, can really describe my girls needs, wants, and personality in one week. I was impressed because I’ve been with them since birth and here are teachers that really got to know my girls. I grew up with caring teachers, and Irvine Montessori provides just that!

Thank you Irvine Montessori! My daughter just came back to visit for childrens night. She was so exited to see Ms. May and Ms. Ruby her old teachers in preschool 3. She still talks about them at home and wants to come back to the school. Irvine Montessori did an awesome job preparing her for kindergarten. Im glad I was able to provide the best education for my daughter in the most crucial learning years.

Get the license number (public information) review their profile (I suggest you do this to all schools you think of enrolling your child) and also look at how much the teachers change. It is never stable. I would rethink this place. Constant change of teachers is not healthy for the children. There were some really extraordinary teachers, but no one seems to stick around, maybe that should tell you something about the school.
Don’t be fooled by the «5 stars» people have a way to get their ratings up.
I would strongly suggest to go down to the reviews that are not posted, and that should give you parents more of an insight.

As a parent I value education for my children. Irvine Montessori School provides that, through teachers that care about the the students. It’s a joy to see my kids learning, and having fun while doing so.

Wonderful school, wonderful staff and wonderful experience! The students really get a chance to love learning! I cannot recommend this school enough! If your looking for high quality education for your little ones look no further! You won’t be disappointed with this school or the staff!

I can not express how wonderful this program is! My 4 year old son is soaring! His behavior at home has improved by leaps and bounds. The teachers are amazing and their care and dedication shows… I had looked at pretty much every program in a 20 mile radius (literally), but this Montessori was IT for my family. I hope this helps others parents out there who are looking for a program for their children.

I was fortunate enough to be able to stay at home with my baby for 18 months. But last fall, the time came when I needed to go back to work. My husband and I have no family remotely near us, so we had to find a place to take our baby. We looked at numerous places in Irvine, but the second I walked in the doors at Irvine Montessori School I knew that would be his school.
Every day since, my son and I have been greeted by friendly smiling faces. Everyone there is genuinely nice and helpful. I can see the connection that my son has with his teachers and that puts a smile on my face. I am 100% happy with his school. And if my son could write a review, I know he would give them 5 stars too!

Don’t enroll your child expecting the warm and fuzzies! The walls and flooring are neutral, the hallway is stark, there’s no windows to the outside and eye level for any 3 year old in that place is the wall. There’s hardly artwork hanging from the ceilings, no class pets or creative crafts.
This is our second Montessori due to relocation and if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t enroll here. It’s clean and convenient but militant and sterile. As they say, no two montessori’s are the same!
My child is having a tough time transitioning yet no one comforts and makes my child feel welcome. Instead, they all stand around and look at us in the morning as my child stands alone whaling goodbye.
I never pick up my child from the same classroom, it varies everyday so don’t be surprised if you see parents peeking in all the classrooms at pick up time. They’re just trying to find their kids!
Ms. Mary never says hello or greets you, she never acknowledges you or your child so of course, it funnels down to her staff.
We’re considering switching schools…

I couldn’t be happier with this IMS. My daughter adore this school and so do we. The montessori method of teaching is new to us, it being mixed age classes and child centered, real emphasis on practical life learning, courtesy and community. My daughter is engaged, loves to learn and have terrific friends.
This environment is very different from schools that teaches to test and foster competition and uses standardized methods; this is not that school. Kids are given individual attention and guided curriculum that fits the child’s pace.
If you want to see how a parent would like a 2 year old to behave, go and schedule a tour and see just how amazing this school is. There are no terrible twos here! And what’s more, the kids take their learning home and you’ll real the rewards.

This montessori school is fantastic! To be honest, I was a little bit skeptical since there were a bunch of mediocre Unilocal reviews but we felt very good about it during the tour, and so we decided to move forward and enroll our daughter in the school.
I was amazed at the immediate differences in behavior in my daughter. She will sit on the floor and get instructions from us, begs us to read her more and more books at night, constantly sings the little songs they teach her, and she always talks about her little friends at school.
We’ve been there for about 9 months now and we can’t say enough good things about it.
She also asks to use the toilet now a lot more than she used to (she’s about 18 months old).
They are very organized and on the ball. Security is a high priority and they are very flexible with pick-​up times and drop-​off times. Their parking lot is nice and large and picking up the kids isn’t such a madhouse like at other montessori schools we’ve seen.
They write a daily progress report that is quite detailed. They cap the class sizes so they are very small.
My daughter, and the other kids, don’t have any tantrum problems during drop-​off because they have a lot of structure and make it appealing to the kids to go to school.
They give a little more outside time than the other montessori schools we’ve been at and that we’ve toured, which in our opinion is a good thing. I wish there was even a little bit more (but that’s not the montessori method).
Criticisms of this school is that they might not be as strict montessori as other schools or as people prefer, but it is a great place to send your kids and in my opinion, strikes the perfect balance.

Irvine Montessori is a wonderful school school to enroll your children in. We enrolled both my daughter and son here and are pleased. Children learn about how to get along and explore the world around them. Our children come home daily learning something new. We appreciate the whole child approach at this school.
