Irvine Spectrum Center

Irvine spec is always nice place to take the family. Especially on a summer day ! Stop by cold stone they got some great ice cream. Oh and of course can’t forget about Dave and busters, did I mention they have a movie theater ! Yup fun

This place is a great to go to in Irvine. The Spectrum is a huge outdoor entertainment/​shopping center with a movie theatre, tons of restaurants, clothing shops and more. You can go with friends or family. It’s appropriate for all age types.

Coming with family? Great!
Coming with a group of friends? Great!
Coming with your significant other/​date? Great!
This place caters for all age ranges and whether you want to shop, eat, or hang out, there’s always something here for you to do!

3.5 stars just because i’m not a shopping kind of person. The most i do is browse. Unless i really absolutely need it, than i get it. Perks of growing up poor.
If you like outdoor malls, than irvine spectrum is for you! It’s huge here, modern and sophisticated with a lot of stores like forever 21, edwards cinema and PF changs just to name a few.
Great place to spend the day with family, friends or by yourself.

Oh Spectrum…
The love-​hate relationship I have with this place… I must admit the love aspect only comes from the nostalgia I get from frequently coming to this place during my adolescence — running around wild in annoying numbers of friends, making fun of kooky garments in stores, taking stupid selfies on the Macs at the Apple Store and then calling it a night.
Nowadays, I don’t have much to see around this shopping center. Extremely sanitary but unexciting. Very community and family oriented but uninviting. Fair to large selection of stores but mundane and uninteresting. Always expanding but overly crowded. Seemingly organized but hectic. I dread coming here, knowing that I always come out with a headache and drained.
Spectrum, I guess we both changed.

Hung out here for a couple of hours on our way up to L.A. This place is a pretty big modern outdoor mall with typical mall stores and eateries. I like how there’s something for everyone here. Especially when it’s come to the eateries. Chipotle, Johnny Rockets, Tender Greens, Red Robin, Yard House, cupcake boutique, froyo, Dave ‘n Buster’s…it goes on and on.
The Giant Wheel, the ferris wheel that you see off the freeway, is here as well as a pretty carousel. There’s a ground fountain for the kids to splash in on warm days, so there’s plenty for the kids to do. And I love how there’s tons of comfy lounge-​y seating areas.
The Spectrum is very dog friendly and you’ll see leashed pooches strolling alongside their peeps. Restaurants with patios and outdoor seating will most likely accommodate Fido.
Nice place to hang if you’ve got nothing else to do.

This place is so versatile.
Great place for a date night.
If you have kids it’s actually a great place to relax with the kids.
Or if you need to get some errands done it’s practically a one-​stop spot to get all your shopping done.
And you can enjoy being outdoors!
In the spring/​summer they have a nice open green lawn right next to the huge Ferris wheel. I don’t have any kids but I tend to see parents relaxing on the comfy chairs while their kids are running around the lawn enjoying themselves. Very clean, safe area where parents can be at peace in the shade while their kids are laughing, playing around in the sun. And if you want you can go on the Ferris Wheel, it’s only $ 5 bucks. AND there’s a kiddy train that kids are obsessed with for some reason that circles the whole area. The weather is perfect on those warm late spring/​summer nights to hang out here.
Closer to Target they have a mini-​play area for the smaller kids and this nice water play area where kids can cool down and get wet during any hot day. Plenty of shade for the parents.
Kids are very entertained there but if you want an awesome thrill you have to check out The RiDE 7D. It is a surprisingly awesome experience. I wrote a separate review about it. Basically it’s a virtual ride that allows you to interact with the content on the screen with blasters. Virtual ride + blasters = the best thrill you’ll ever find in a mall. The fact that you can choose which scenario you want makes it great for adults or kids. I tried them all. Zombies is great for the older audience, possible the brave kids and the western ride is fantastic for everyone, kids and adults.
This place is right next to the big wheel. Irvine Spectrum should start looking into more entertainment/​attractions in this part of the center.
Date Night!
If you want to surprise a date take them to the RiDE 7D, but don’t tell them what they’ll be doing. It’s hilarious when someone goes on and doesn’t know what to expect. This will exceed anyone’s expectations.
Going on the Ferris Wheel after is a great way to wind down.
I suggestion getting tickets for the wheel first, then head straight to The RiDE 7D to throw them off. As soon as you’re done at 7D just get in line for the wheel.
Then you can have a nice dinner. Irvine Spectrum has A LOT of options for dinning. Super classy restaurants or I’m on a budget restaurants. I’m pretty sure they have the most dinning options out of any mall/​outdoor shopping center I’ve been to.
Great place to enjoy any day or any night.

I forgot to mention that have free WiFi all over the Spectrum.

The parking, cleanliness and the variety of stores and restaurants win Spectrum Irvine my full 5 stars! It’s a nice place to visit any time of the week. You can go to the movies, have a beer or even just sit in one of the seating areas, it’s a good time here all the time!

I’ve only been here once before with my friends while we were killing time before going to this wedding we were crashing in OC.
I remember thinking what a nice mall this was! They have a Ferris Wheel and the design of the building is so nice!
We had lunch at Chipotle here and got dessert at Cheesecake Factory after!
Gorgeous mall in OC to walk around and get some fresh air while shopping! I definitely want to come back here and spend more time!

Been going here for a few years. Definitely has become more popular as time goes on. Now I feel it is a second hang out spot for everyone in the OC that don’t want to spend money on a Disneyland annual pass.
The restaurants are great. Our favorite currently is Umami. Crazy enough I have never been to the Irvine improv but I’ve always been meaning to go. Looks like they have great guests some nights. I tried to get tickets for Dana Carvey but it was sold out. Next time I will search for tickets earlier.
It gets too packed during the holiday so would avoid it at all costs. My mom and I went the week before Christmas and couldn’t find a single parking spot. Not even in the way back of the parking lot. And now with the apartment complex nearby there is always trouble finding parking.
But it is a beautiful outdoor mall that is continuously changing for the better!

I can’t believe that yesterday was my first time at THE Irvine Spectrum. I love the vibe and energy when your actually in the shopping center.
I do wish that I had extra time to see all the shops but our main reason for the visit yesterday was for lunch at Javier’s.
Like I said, the best part about the Spectrum is the overall vibe. Yesterday, they had live music in the courtyard area, and it was nice to see families just hanging out.
I love the random couches throughout where people can just hang with friends and chill.
There are many cute stores and a ton of great date-​night restaurants. For parking, there are several parking garages within walking distance, otherwise they do offer valet parking near Woodranch. For an extra fee, you can get your car washed while its in the Valet.

I enjoy coming here mostly because it’s a shopping city of its own. I can walk outside and enjoy the beautiful weather or hop into one of the many stores that are located here. They even have playgrounds or little splash pads for the kids. Which I ADORE since I have a toddler of my own. So she’s not cooped up all day. There’s tons of different restaurants. My favorite is always the Cheesecake Factory. Yummy Mish Salmon and pear martini. Nummy! Of course the cheesecakes are the best.
There’s a little train for the kids to ride, aerry go round, and a really neat ferris wheel. There’s movie theater and parking garage. It’s all right off the 5 fwy so easy to find.

Such a cute OUTDOOR mall. At night its so pretty especially with the ferris wheel. Also they have a small ice rink under the ferris wheel. Pretty sweet for a first date or any date.

Not in love with the shopping options here, but the dining selection is great!
I come here just to eat, walk it off and grab something else before heading out.
It’s an easy stroll, love the ferris wheel and that they offer different things like an ice skating rink in the winter, I have seen food trucks pulled up here, there is always something new.
Tons of easy parking, it can get full here, but spreads out pretty well, even on weekends.
Great stop since there are really options from high to low end, for kids and adults alike.

The ever expanding Irvine Spectrum is probably the night life center for South County, for better or worse. There are lots of dining option, from the bad chain options to the decent chain options, and a huge theater that is almost always crowded. There are also lots of options for shopping, with smaller versions of a few big retailer and lots of branded stores, mainly part of various chains. Do you see a pattern?
But in spite of that, it isn’t bad. Parking is so-​so, but there are plenty of comfortable places to sit and relax, they bring in a small skating rink in the winter, dogs are welcome, and there is a Ferris wheel and Merry-​go-​round if you are so inclined, plus a play are for small kids and fountains you can walk through in the warmer months.

This place is great. Lots of good restaurants, good shops and fun things to do with the kids. There’s a huge movie theater and also a Ferris wheel. During the holidays they have ice skating and lots of bars where you can get some grub and wet your whistle all at the sane time. There is plenty of parking and several valet parking stands to choose from. The Irvine Company does a good job keeping the grounds both clean and graffiti free.

There is absolutely not one bad thing that you can say about the Spectrum. They have everything you can possibly be looking for. From the high end to the low end stores. You’re going to love this outdoor shopping center. Even the venders in the middle of the walkway are pleasant. You won’t want to punch any of them in the face for blocking your path… hee hee hee
What shopping center can you do a Target run and then go around the corner to Nordstrom’s? There’s just so many stores.
There’s plenty of restaurants. From the large chains to the small business owned and I can honestly say that I will find anything that you’re craving. You definitely won’t be going home hungry.
There’s free parking lots & structures everywhere so that’s never a issue. Just wear comfy shoes, because it’s a huge shopping center.
It’s a great center for children. They have plenty of shops that caters to them. Also they have a merry-​go-​round, and a huge Ferris wheel.
The landscaping is gorgeous. There’s family activities during the summer. And during the winter there’s a ice skating rink! Come on! That’s pretty awesome!
Just bring your happy self down here and it’ll soon become one of your favorite destinations!!!

This is the Disneyland of Irvine. There is something for everyone here. Shopping, dining, movies, etc.
It’s great for a date night, a night out with the girls, or a playdate with kids.
It’s best to avoid this place during the holidays. The crowds are insane.
The sales people working the kiosks can be a bit aggressive, even if you avoid eye contact.

Love this place for eating, hanging out, shopping and just chilling! Some of the stores are a little high end, but nothing like South Coast Plaza.
It’s great for family adventures, date nights, girls nights, honestly for anything. That’s why I love it so much! It’s good for all ages, shapes and sizes!
There’s plenty of parking with all the parking garages but on summer days and weekends it can get a little frustrating finding parking. But people are always coming and going so you’ll find parking sooner or later.
Some of my personal fav stores to shop at here are KAITLYN, ANGL, lululemon, Stella Laguna Beach, and Irene’s Story.
They also have a huge Target that I am in love with!
Enough reading, go spend some money at the Spectrum or just go relax!
