Dr James Handy has been in private practice since 1991. He currently lives in OC CA with his wife and 5 children. With his diverse sports history including Alpine Skiing and Ski Racing, Triathlons, Hockey, Tennis, Golf, Football, Soccer, Baseball and most Ocean sports, he has developed a unique perspective into related injuries and how best to proceed with rehabilitation. His wife, JoQueta utilizes a hands on approach to stimulating learning challenged children. Her use of sensory integration requires Chiropractic to enhance and improve the nervous system of her subjects. They share their office and corroborate to find better solutions for their patients and students.

I’ve been to see Dr Handy 3 times now — while I wasn’t in great pain I did have mild lower back pain (out of sync right hip) and, as it turns out, a Nick on the left side of my neck. I feel so much better already. Dr handy is professional and friendly, as was Terry the assistant. I’d recommend him highly.

I got lucky choosing Dr. Handy. He has been a great help in adjusting my lateral rotation from a past car accident. I spent thousands at a previous chiropractor and he was unable to fix the problem for me. Dr. Handy tried different solutions to fix my problem and it has helped a lot.
Recently, I told him about some discomfort in my lower back (pressure and tightness) which doesn’t seem to go away with stretching and exercise. I also reminded him of a compression fracture I suffered and with his hands, he was able to feel the slipped disk and pop it back in.

I’ve been to many, many different chiropractors over the years, and I’ll keep coming back to Dr. Handy. He’s thorough, he is knowledgeable in sport’s medicine which was a plus for me, and he’s the best adjuster I’ve ever seen. Recently I had slipped multiple disks and my hips were out of alignment. I’m not always easy to put back into place as my back is usually really tight, but Handy is a quick, gentle, and precise adjuster.
And, overall, he cares and is reasonably priced. He’ll work with you if you need it, which is much better compared to some of the other more brutal adjusters I’ve seen who wanted thousands for PT.

I don’t usually spend the time to write reviews, but in this case I actually signed up to give credit where credit is due. If you have back, neck or shoulder pain don’t wait weeks like I did just make an appointment. I agree with the other reviews he is not in this to soak you for as many visits as he can get.
He is simply one of the best.

I have not been to a chiropractor before, but I feel like I found a great place to go to.
Dr. Handy is a true professional at what he does. First visit, finds exactly what is wrong with you and tells you exactly what is wrong with you for you to understand your body better. He immediately found my troubled area and described what happened and what steps he would need to take to fix it. He is extremely gentle, but at the same time knows the exact amount of force and pressure it will take to «fix» your back problems or other troubled areas.
I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I never believed chiropractors could help you out when you had a bad back.
Dr. Handy proved me wrong. He is thorough in his first examination of you with x-rays and all his questions to you to get to the root of the problem.
He isn’t what I expected a chiropractor to be; to just keep you coming back. He does his best to take care of you so that you aren’t in pain anymore on the first visit.
He is very professional, his staff is friendly and professional and I know always leave his office feeling so much better and in less pain. He has been a god send to myself and my husband.

Best Chiropractor that I have ever been to, by far. The biggest thing for me is that he doesn’t try to sell you things that you don’t need or have you come in for 15 appointments if you only need 3. On top of that, he is a cool guy who I enjoy talking with as he is adjusting my back.

Best Chiropractor I’ve ever been to!
I’ve been to about half a dozen since a pelvic injury 16 years ago. Dr Handy is by far the best.

A lot of associates at the pharma company I work at see Dr. Handy and referred me to him. I am so happy I went to see him! I’ve been to quite a few chiropractors in the 25 almost 26 years I’ve been on this earth (I used to dance so my body is consistantly whacked. on top of the fact that I tense up when I stress out and I raise my shoulders to my ears practically). Dr. Handy took just a few xrays, gave an ultra sound massage (you heard me correctly… he didn’t just use it for ultrasound… he used the warmth and some pressure to massage as well) put me on the roller bed and proceeded to crack what seemed like every bone in my damn body. AMAZING. I HIGHLY recomend him! Please tell him Jess Balicki sent you!!!
