History
Established in 2013.
Karis Language Academy was founded by a group of experienced school teachers from IUSD and beyond, many holding advanced degrees and certifications in education and related fields including from UCLA and Stanford University. As teachers and parents, our team recognizes the value of preparing our children to become global citizens in a bilingual and increasingly multilingual society.
Education in foreign languages, arts, and culture is not only essential to understanding and relating to the world around us but key to success in today’s society.
Our mission is to create an environment where children can embrace and begin to build solid foundations in these areas with the help of experienced teachers who are passionate about nurturing young minds. We know how important it is to use lively and engaging strategies in our classrooms, to develop children’s intrinsic motivation and make Karis Language Academy a place where kids love to learn!
