When I saw sino fusion had closed I remembered this phở restaurant. The menu had a high variety and what they called their lunch specials because the prices seemed more like dinner prices. Not horribly expensive but certainly not special lunch prices. I’m glad I stayed because the noodle dish I ordered was superb. The service was efficient and friendly. I’ll be trying them again and see if the second visit will be just as good. Overall really quality place not at high prices.

This review is solely for the pork vermicelli(bún tht nng). Seriously my newest favorite place for pork vermicelli! Fresh, healthy, and perfectly made. No MSG. Fresh and non-sticky rice vermicelli. The pork was cooked perfectly, not dry like other places. My new dinner spot before class!

I bit down on a huge piece of a bone inside their crispy spring rolls. My tooth is now in horrible pain. I’m not sure if it is cracked. This was my first time eating here. We ordered take out ! I will never be going back!!! I am outraged! If I could rate this place a zero I would have !

I have always passed by this place so I decidedly to try it. I’m a big huge fan of phở. Their shrimp phở was great! I know a lot of places don’t have a great shrimp phở but i’m glad I found La Phở. Best deal is the phở combo. Phở and a roll for 10 bucks.

VEGANPHOSPOT!!! GETINMYBELLY. I stumbled upon the phở place when I was milling around and not sure what to eat. Couldn’t be happier that I now have a hot spot to get some local vegan phở. It’s hard to come by, let me tell you. The bowl is huge and the veggies are all so fresh. I don’t generally eat all of the tofu, but that doesn’t bother me. It’s filling and could really feed me for two days. The service is so pleasant as well. A few weeks after my first visit, I suggested this spot for lunch to some coworkers and everyone was very happy with what they ordered. This is a go-to spot for all in my opinion.

I’ve been coming to this mall for my lunches on a regular basis and had always wanted to try this place, but I kept passing it by. I was in the mood for something soupy so thought… why not check this place out… especially since it was January 1st and everybody else was closed. Nice…simple, clean, and cozy little place… and very nice people working here. Browsing at the menu for the first time everything looked quite normal to other traditional Phở places I’d been to. However, it was the quality of the soup I was looking for and so decided to order the Egg Noodle Soup with Chicken, Shrimp, and Wantans… and since I wanted to try the crispy spring rolls, I went ahead and ordered the combo which gave me two rolls for just a dollar more. According to the menu the combos seemed to only apply to the phở noodle bowls, but I double checked with the server and she told me no problem… cool :) The bowl of noodles was big! The noodles could have been slightly more al dente, but it wasn’t too bad the way it was. Other than that, the soup was actually quite good… much better than I’d expected… steaming hot and really hit the spot… I typically like the taste not too strong and not too weak, and this was just right. The plate of raw bean sprouts came with the usual basil leaves, cut green chilis, and a wedge of lime… to enhance the flavor of the soup. There’s the usual hoisin and sriracha sauces on the table for dipping your meats… which will also add to the flavor. The crispy spring rolls were good too… thin crispy skin with a nice yummy filling… you get a couple of lettuce leaves to wrap the spring roll and dip in the fish sauce which comes with it, but I just save myself the trouble and eat it on its own. I actually enjoyed this place and was glad to have finally tried it. It’s a bit closer to my home than another regular place I usually go to, and is definitely convenient vs driving all the way to Little Saigon. It’s a bit more expensive, but I figured my gas to drive to Little Saigon probably would have cost more. WIll definitely be back.

I don’t know why this place isn’t a 5 out of 5 yet! They’re restaurant is so nice and clean, everyone is always so nice, friendly and helpful. They have a great combo deal any phở of your choice and a side. I usually get the veggie phở with extra jalapeños, and crispy spring roll. Fresh veggies and tofu really make the phở come together for a perfect dinner. Huge portions for broth which I personally love. Thank you for being so convenient and tasty.

Very aesthetically pleasing venue! Place was clean and tables were well stocked, organized and and pristine! When the door opened, a friendly greeting emanated from behind the counter… Off to a great start I say! Then the soup arrived and it was better than anticipated because this is not normally where you expect great Phở. Not too shabby…

I live in the neighborhood and have been wanting to eat here but hubby doesn’t think he likes Vietnamese food so we always end up other places. Last night, I went alone for some take away phở. I ordered the vegetable phở. The broth was delicious but there were not enough vegetables to suit me. Carrots and spinach plus various seasoning type veggies like onion(perhaps). I enjoyed it but would not go back since it is the only thing I like. I have had amazing phở with a plethora of wonderful vegetables at other places. Too bad, because it is only a few blocks away and a friendly cozy spot. I might try the pork and string beans sometime and will review it if I do. This is certainly not a bad place, just not what I had in mind. I have the best luck when I dine with a Vietnamese American friend. They know where to go and what to order.

This is on the fancier side of Phở places, nice, clean and well maintained, with good service. Looks like an upscale lunch place and the prices reflect that. I had the Chicken Phở soup and it was a good portion(they only have 1 size) with lots of vegies and chicken and noodles. The flavor is not that strong and the chicken is a little too dry for my taste, but I almost never like the boiled chicken. I like the restaurant and how they try to be a few notches above other Phở places, but I wished that the food was up to par too.

Consistently yummy :) & always friendly service! Sure it’s more expensive than a $ 5 bowl of phở somewhere in Santa Ana or Westminster but I think the price is justified by quality and quantity! Always lots of food and fresh because they’re so busy.

When La Phở first opened a few years ago I was really unimpressed by its food in comparison to the other phở places in Irvine. The noodles were hard and the beef tasteless, rubbery and super thick. I vowed to never go back again even though it’s super convenient for us. Fast forward til 2014 — my mother in law asked if we ate there often and that she loved the food there… With hesitation we told her we had such a disappointing experience that we rather drive father away to get phở. She seemed puzzled that we were such haters. Last week my husband went there because his buddy wanted to go so he gave it another try and brought me back home too. As a take out item it was pretty descent. They neatly separated the rare beef, bean sprouts, noodles and soup base individually. The food was better than I remembered. I’m not sure if they changed chefs or just got with the program but it was all good. Today we went there again and the waitress was very attentive and nice. The food was good but portion seemed small. The well done beef was still thick but at least it wasn’t like you were chewing on rubber bands. The eggs rolls were hot and fresh but lacked a little flavor. Just a casual place to go when pressing for time otherwise I think I will stick to the competition.

This is now one of my favorite phở spots in irvine! We came here for a hangover cure after discovering that our usual phở spot was closed. I got the rare beef phở($ 7.50) and the bf got the combo which was a phở soup plus 2 eggrolls. Pros –tasty broth(MSG free!!) –fancy bowls and long soup spoons –clean and nice interior –great service –combo option that allows you to add on a side of 2 egg rolls or spring rolls to your phở for only a few bucks more Cons –no fancy Vietnamese drinks!
