Specialties
At LePort Schools it is our goal to provide students with an outstanding education, one in which they develop strong basic skills, master challenging content, and learn to think independently.
Our infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and lower elementary students (aged 3 months to 8 years) enjoy a Montessori approach to education, which fosters self-motivation and a true love of learning. The Montessori learning materials are designed to spark the imagination, engage the intellect, and invite each child to explore, discover, and understand.
Our upper elementary and junior high students (aged 9 to 14 years) benefit from a stimulating academic curriculum delivered in small classes with personalized levels of challenge. Our enthusiastic, dedicated teachers work closely with each child to ensure his/her academic potential is reached.
Our superior curriculum and individualized attention in a nurturing environment has earned LePort Schools its reputation as a superior place of learning.
History
Established in 2000.
LePort Schools was founded by Dr. Peter LePort in 2000. While in medical school, Dr. LePort became interested in childhood education. He studied the writings of Dr. Maria Montessori and educated his children by the Montessori Method through fourth grade. He helped develop an Upper Elementary Program for his children through the rest of their education.
LePort Schools is the culmination of Dr. LePort’s efforts to provide children with a superior education, one in which they develop strong basic skills, master challenging content, and learn to think independently. From a small home school with three students, LePort Schools now caters to over 250 students at four locations in Orange County. Dr. LePort’s dedicated team of administrators, teachers, and educational experts have worked together to develop and deliver an exceptional curriculum in a stimulating, nurturing environment, earning LePort Schools its reputation as a superior place of learning.
