I LOVE MARIE! She is so sweet and so amazing! She truly knows how to capture your style and what you like. She has great suggestions and perfect skills! She captures true beauty when ever she does makeup and completely understands all looks you show to her or talk to her about. All of the product choices she uses compliments the skin and does not feel heavy! I choose her for all of my special events or occasions whether it is just eyes or full face. She’s also just as amazing with hair, I personally have finer hair that does not hold curls for more than a couple of hours and she can keep it lasting well into the night. She knows every tip and trick and you can see her passion for makeup and hair that she does. She also knows a lot about hair care or skin prepping, i.e. if you have bleached hair best ways to prepare the hair before your special day or if your skin is more dry and such.
I recommend her to anyone and everyone.

Marie is great. She did my makeup and hair on my wedding day about 4 months ago. I didn’t have the time for preview session and after discussing with Marie over the phone and through emails, we initially determined the styles I like and Marie just made the final adjustments on my wedding day.
Marie did a great job with the whole bridal party’s hair and makeup. I was very pleased with how everything turned out. A special note for brides who live out of state or are unable to do the preview session, Marie will the perfect makeup and hair artist for your wedding.

If I could give Marie 10 stars, I would!!! She made everything so easy from the first time I sent her an email.
First off, she is extremely professional and quick to respond to your emails. Brides, I know this is extremely important when you’re looking for a vendor! Being able to count on Marie to respond quickly saved me some stress because I was able to get answers quickly.
Secondly, she is super sweet and flexible! I kept changing my mind about having my mom get her hair/​makeup done and Marie was always willing to accommodate. She is also so easy to talk to
And lastly, Marie makes you look absolutely wonderful on your wedding day!!! I didn’t do a consultation at all and still loved exactly how my look turned out! We spoke thru email and I sent her pics of some styles I liked, and then confirmed the style that I wanted when I met her on my wedding day. Marie was good with communicating that what she had in mind for me was in fact the look I was going for.
All my bridesmaids were happy with how their makeup and hair turned out and I kept getting so many compliments on my hair and makeup. I would def recommend Marie to anyone who’s looking for a professional hair and makeup artist :)

Marie did such amazing work for my hair and makeup for my dinner reception! She is so easy to talk to, incredibly talented and finished well under the time I was expecting. Her price was very reasonable for what the end product looked like. I will definitely use her again for any special occasion that I have.

Marie did my hair and make up on my wedding day. I did not do the trial with her; I told her what I want (my husband and I were picky about make up) and she was able to deliver the job more than I expected. Everyone liked it and even asked about her info.

Marie is awesome!
She responded to my emails right away and gave me instructions about my hair before she came. I emailed her photos of how I wanted my hair and make up and she did amazing! She did airbrush make up on me and it was FLAWLESS. Everyone complimented my hair & especially my makeup. I wasn’t able to do a trial with her cuz I literally booked her a couple days before my wedding, but she still did an amazing job. I would definitely recommend her to everyone I know. She also gave me a touch up kit which definitely came in handy. Marie is THE best!

I feel awful that it’s taken me so long to write this review… especially since Marie is AMAZING and SO freaking talented! She did my hair for my rehearsal dinner then did my hair/​makeup (with assistant) as well as my bridal party for my wedding. I couldn’t decide on how to do my hair and basically changed my mind the day before (from half-​up to all-​down) and she created the perfect hairstyle for me. I have problems with my hair keeping curls, but her wavy curls stayed put the entire day (especially with super windy conditions) and throughout the night! Her makeup is flawless and natural looking (not too heavy). Considering I had quite a big bridal party + my mom, she and her assistant stayed right on schedule!
Her prices really can’t be beat (we contacted a lot of people) for the HIGH quality of her services. She is super professional, quickly responsive to questions/​concerns, and flexible. She is also just flat out awesome and easy to talk to, which was particularly nice considering how nervous I was the morning of the wedding (because I was still working on my vows!).
I highly, highly recommend Luna Bella for any makeup/​hair needs. You will not be disappointed.

Marie is absolutely amazing. If you’re a bride searching for that perfect hair/​makeup artist, here is all you really need to know:
Communication: very responsive, respectful, & honest
Pricing: competitive for the area, but with Marie you get what you paid for and MORE. She’ll make you look and feel like a million bucks
Timing: she is fast. I had 7 bridesmaids, my mom, and my MIL (10 services total including myself) and my ceremony started at 12:00pm sharp. Other artists around the area quoted me with a start time of 12am, 2am — Marie and her assistant started on my group at 5am. They were on time, organized, and efficient! We still had plenty of time to spare for group pics, a first prayer w/​the groom, breathing time, etc.
Skill: THE BEST. She uses quality products and her eye for blending colors is amazing. She matched my skin tone perfectly, along with everyone else in my party. We looked flawless. She is a magician with that airbrush of hers! She is a fantastic hair artist as well. My hair is long/​sleek and doesn’t hold curls well — after my trial, my hair stayed put ALL day and I even slept in it to make sure and was able to wear it to work that next day! On the day of, she made me look even better than I had remembered from the trial. Hair/​Makeup lasted the entire day throughout all the tears, dancing, running around, etc. She is great with direction and tweaking things here and there (for me it was eyeliner thickness, brow intensity, and my hair poof height) to make sure you feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful.
Note: Marie can work on any face, but I was also looking for someone who can work with asian eyes specifically. I don’t know how she did it, but all of the shadow blending on my lid looked great and you could even see it with my eyes open! This is a big deal! She’s also a huge Harry Potter fan like me and if that isn’t a huge plus, I don’t know what is :)
Simply put, Marie brings out a woman’s inner beauty which is what I loved most. I didn’t want to look back at my pictures and not recognize myself. I am so, so happy I went with her. If you’re reading this, you at least owe it to yourself to start a conversation with her and see where it goes. You won’t regret it!

I am glad that I happened to find Marie on Unilocal.I hired Marie to do my hair and makeup for my maternity photo session. She came right on time, and got started right away. Since my photo session was later in the afternoon, Marie made sure my curls would last. And it lasted all through the night! I really like her makeup techniques. If you don’t feel like reading the entire review then just read this: I am obsessed.
As a bride who was organizing her wedding from across the country (in NY) — I was really nervous about choosing a hair/​makeup artist because I knew I wouldn’t have the time to have a trial session done. I wrote e-​mails and contacted at least 20 makeup and hair artists for pricing, photo samples, and general communication — it was REALLY important to me that the company/​stylist I went with made me feel really comfortable and answered my 329 320 831 questions with patience and kindness. You can’t imagine how many of these stylists answer in a way that makes you feel like they are forced to answer your questions, but wish they didn’t have to. As an excited bride (and a perfectionist) — that’s the last thing you want at before even signing a contract! Marie was given as a recommendation from a friend/​wedding planner — the first thing was that she responds to EVERY e-​mail with a smile and REALLY quickly (which I loved.) I immediately felt safe and comfortable and knew she would take care of my bridesmaids and my mom — who I was really worried about and wanted to make sure she felt amazing on my wedding day. I had questions from being in other bridal parties about her methods and she was really patient and answered all of my questions through the months professionally and kindly — I was so appreciative of that =)
On the wedding day, her and her assistant arrived promptly in the morning and immediately went about setting up their tools. Everything went smoothly — the timeline was longer than we allotted, I would say about 1.5 hour per bridesmaids rather than the 1 hour on the schedule and 2 hours is suffice for the bride. I also had some last minute «hair only» additions of close friends, who Marie was really flexible with adding in! My hair and makeup — was SO on point… I can’t even begin to gush. I still didn’t really have a great idea of what I wanted on the day of the wedding, and after looking at my dress together — we decided on a bun with texture. I was really worried about having «prom hair» on my wedding day — I wanted to look natural — she did exactly that. For my makeup, I sent a few photos in advance but after seeing her sample photos in the beginning — I really didn’t have a worry about that at all :)
I would say that the only one con I had about the experience was her assistant… she wasn’t really friendly and didn’t say much the entire morning — also the curls that she was doing on my bridesmaids all fell out while the ones for my bridesmaids who were worked on by Marie were perfect. So not sure what the difference there was, but my bridesmaids didn’t seem bothered by it other than their curls falling out — just something I noticed!
Would highly recommend Marie — I was SO SO SO picky about each and every vendor. I wanted high end work and skill and Marie completely delivered on that. I couldn’t have been happier. You know… you spend all this money on a videographer and photographer but if at the end of the day you don’t like your hair/​makeup, the money you spent on that goes to waste because you hate the way you look. Marie made ALL OF THAT completely worth it and I can’t help but stare, sometimes, at her work because it just blew me away :)

I decided to book Marie for my wedding hair and makeup because of her stellar Unilocal rating and reasonable pricing. As my trial, she did my hair and makeup for my bachelorette party and I received all these compliments on how beautiful, gorgeous and glowing I looked. Marie is an artist — she uses makeup to accentuate your natural beauty. You never feel like you’re wearing a mask or look like someone else. I knew from the very beginning that I wanted a fairly natural look — I don’t wear makeup on a daily basis, so I wanted to make sure I still looked like me on my wedding day. Marie was able to do just that. She gave me glowing skin with touches of color, but it never looked overdone. The hairstyle she gave me was also perfect… a soft, romantic updo. Beautiful.
The wedding pictures were amazing. When you feel beautiful, it transfers to photos. Marie made me feel like the most beautiful person in the world on my wedding.
From the very beginning, Marie was super professional and very responsive over email. She understands that your wedding is a very special and important day to you, so she takes time to answer all your questions and does everything possible to make sure you’re comfortable.
On my wedding day, she did makeup and/​or hair for 2 moms, 2 bridesmaids, and myself. She also did a quick styling of my hubby’s hair too! Marie truly cares about her work and her clients. She loves what she does, and it really shows. Marie was also very punctual for both my preview session and for my wedding. Again, she is a true professional. Not only that, Marie is super sweet and easy to get along with.

I hired Marie to do hair and makeup for 9 women, including myself, for my wedding. When I was first exchanging emails/​texts/​phone calls to see her rates, etc. she was very quick to respond and very helpful explaining her work. She also did a trial run with me, taking many pictures, and talking about what I wanted, but she was also great taking an idea like «romantic» and running with it.
As a bride, you don’t want any stress at all on the big day, and Marie was very calming. She was on time and right on schedule for all the girls. And after every girl, she had them go check their hair and makeup to make sure everyone was happy. She also made sure she scheduled touch ups and made a to-​go bag for me. And drumroll please: Her prices were by far the best prices of anyone around!

Marie is very sweet and easy to work with. She listens to your ideas but has years of experience if you’re not sure what style you are looking for. If you are looking for a makeup/​hair stylist who is versatile, she would be a great fit! She is familiar with many different makeup application styles as well as hairstyles.

Marie did my hair and makeup for a wedding I was a bridesmaid for this past weekend. She was so professional and showed up exactly at 6am as stated. I briefly told her an idea of how I wanted my hair and makeup and she produced exactly what I wanted. I don’t wear alot of makeup so I wanted a natural look. I loved how light the makeup felt on my face especially since I’ve had experiences in the past with other artists where it felt caked on.
She did such a great job and definitely made me feel beautiful! I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup throughout the day! No retouch was needed either.

If I could give 6 stars, I would! Marie did my wedding makeup and hair, as well as makeup+hair for 8 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and various family members who wanted last minute touch-​ups. Marie and her assistant were very kind, attentive, and patient with all the ladies. And every single lady that had makeup/​hair done by Marie or her assistant turned out lovely! I can’t tell you how happy I was with my wedding look as well!!!
