Merchant Services in Irvine

I noticed another reviewer stating how they hated leaving bad reviews, I do as well, but it has to be done. I am writing this in regard to deceptive marketing. Personally, I feel this practice is one that should be prosecuted. I received another call after asking them not to ever call again as they’d used this tactic previously. They stated the same thing «that I needed to call regarding the last invoice». Well, no «last invoice» exists. I don’t use them and never will.

I hate leaving bad reviews, I hate it. But I had to do it here.
If you are a small business, looking for a credit card processor please PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM. They are fraudulent, and totally don’t care about their customers. I had cancelled on them in the month of December 2014 (Mark, confirmed that they had a cancellation notice on their end), and they have been BILLING ME UNTIL NOW !!! Seriously? 18 months and you kept billing me the whole time ?
I didn’t realize in my bank account due to the fact that we have other merchant services going on, and I thought it was part of their fees. Not realizing that it was these people all along. How I found out? Hmm, well I moved back to my old office but just another suite and I got the mail from my old office. I thought it was weird that they were charging me $ 64.95 for something that I was not using. This basically is $ 1,169.10 for 18 months. Our office here confirmed that they mailed back our statements to them. Even then, after a cancellation, after mail being return, and no activity. These people still made my account active without my authorization, and billed my card without my authorization.
Today, I spoke to Mark, a very rude representative. He let me know that the most they can do for us is credit me back 2 months. Seriously ??? After being inactive for so long this is all you can do? So basically you are going to rob me for 18 months of no activity because there was a supposedly charge back, and activity in my account. BS !! You guys are fraud.
I made a complaint to the BBB and I will make sure that no one ever uses your services. EVER !!!

Astoundingly poor customer service. If you need to call them, use the sales extension. They don’t answer the customer service extension, they don’t reply to emails, they promise to call you back and they don’t. Can you give negative stars on Unilocal

Awful scammers!
Today we got our third call from them. She was rude and wouldn’t take no for an answer. After telling her that we have talked to our credit card processing company who has assured us there are no «red flags», she said they couldn’t possibly have the same information she does.
My boss told her again that we will not be sending them our statements she yelled «Good luck with that» and hung up.

Poor customer service. Every time you talk to a customer servicer representative, you get a different answer. I don’t recommend them at all.

TOTAL SCAM. Please read all reviews below me. The exact same situation happened to us, being a brand new business we were naïve enough to fall for it. This has to be known.

What a scam. I’ve asked your company 3 times to put me on the «do not call list». If I get another call from your company I will be reporting your company and it’s employees to the BBB & FCC.

Got an abrasive call today from a person demanding my credit card statements stating that their is changes to my credit card processing .
I was like «who are you?»
This rude unprofessional person on the phone demanded my statements saying they are above my credit card company.
After a long conversation I found out these people are just trying to get my business and have a horrible rating. No wonder!

Honestly, the most unprofessional place to ever work for or to do business with. everything there is very underhanded, please be careful what you get yourself into.

Horrible stay far away they have false advertisement and also do not send out notices and have been charging excess amount of fees when their services have not even been used. Haven’t used them for years and was unaware of monthly large fees for all the years they have not been used at all!!! They did not bother to send a notification of any of this. Was not aware of any of this. Fees have added up. Horrible horrible company. Stay away at all costs. Would rate them negative if I could.
To sum up, a better name for their company «Merchant Thieves in Irvine»
Why they are even at 1&½ stars is really shocking. Look at the many complaints and it is quite obvious how horrible they are.

This company contacted my business and implied that we were being overcharged for our merchant services account and that they would process a reimbursement for us. When I started questioning her she was completely rude and eventually hung up on me. I’m shocked that anyone is dumb enough to ever do business with a company like this.

I received a phone call from someone from this company, not stating the name of the company but simply telling me that «we need to discuss your merchant service account, and make sure you are in compliance with the 2015 merchant service standards». With little information provided, I assumed that this was my current card processing company wanting to have a phone conversation to make sure everything was working properly. The lady on the phone implied it would be a phone meeting. Today a man showed up asking me to show him documentation of last month’s sales, I was confused. I gave him a ledger and then asked, do you not have this information since I have been a client of yours for 5 years? He said «I don’t know if you are a client or not, this is why I need your statement.» As he wondered around the studio being pushing, asking silly questions, and making bad jokes, I looked up this company on line and realized this was not the company I have been working with. He was simply trying to sale me on something. Not the way I want to spend my time on my day off. I am in total shock at how this company chose to mislead me in to thinking this was a mandatory appointment and demanding I show them my income statements.

Stay away from this company! It is not even worth one star, I would be glad to rate MINUS.
Read the contract agreement carefully, because in the corner they TINILY mention that early cancellation fee (3 years) is $ 495. Freaking expensive. I should’ve been way more careful, not to get lured by «lower» fee.
They also skyrocket monthly minimum fee to $ 75 after 2 months of $ 25, when you don’t have any credit card transactions. REMEMBER, they also have $ 35 miscellaneous fee, which means that they charge you $ 110 per month!
Many solicitors from this company will storm in to your office like hungry wolves. Ask them for the business cards, and when you see «SBGA (Small Business Growth Alliance)», TURN THEM AWAY IMMEDIATELY!!!

STAY AWAY!!! FRAUD! UNETHICAL! DECEPTIVE! I couldn’t believe they had 1.5 star, they should be 1 star for sure.
They forge lease contract, and change term date to 48.
This company has a rep name Kelly Miller, made a solicitation visit to our office in 2013. We was happy with the merchant services rates that she was offering. She signed us up. Recently, we just changed merchant services, we found out whole lot of mess when she signed us up for.
1. this could fall in the line of fraud, she signed us up for leasing of a credit card terminal, that you can find on amazon for easily for $ 79.99 (verifone ones), the lease was for $ 99.99. At the time, she said the terminal was only $ 99.99, and this is just standard paperwork, just want us to sign. so we did. She went home, and added 48 to the months and terms. We just found that out when we cancelled with merchant services, they were asking us for close to $ 2400 for remaining leasing terms.
2. She also offered Fedex shipping discounts, which never happened.
At this point, they are having their leasing collection people keep trying to harass us for the remaining funds. We feel that we already paid for over 2 years, of total of $ 2400 for the machine being unfair. We are not even asking for that to be refunded, we just want the harassment to stop.

If I could give a –100… This company is a piece of work. First of all, I find out I am locked in to a 4 year contract to lease their equipment which I know I didn’t approve and it was hand written on my contract after I signed. Second of all, when I asked them about updating to equipment that reads the computer chip on credit cards, they suggested I buy it from them for $ 300 but I would still need to pay for the leasing of the old equipment even though it is obsolete. I use there services now and the rates are very low, I also get there fedex one rates for free and they are very friendly. They helped me alot with there SEO help and increased my business over 30% and it was super cheap compared to others.

i should have checked Unilocal about this company. Their service sucks!!! Total difference attitude from the account executive after we signed the contact. A lot of mistakes happened on our bank information, so at the first transaction we cannot receive the funds on time. High rate for the credit card service, millions of hidden charges. If I could give minus star I will, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY
Talked to a customer service rep named Matthew, who is totally rude and refuse to provide any help to my concern. I asked to speak to his manager but then got transferred to voice mail. SCAM COMPANY WITH UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF.

DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD THEY SAY!!! They will tell you that they charge only 1.65% per transaction but the truth is they’re not telling you about all the other fees that they will tack on. Realistically, you will pay closer to 3 and 4% if not more! Their business practices are unfair and highly unethical so do your research. And be prepared to pay a $ 500 cancellation fee once you figure them out!

not sure how they got my store’s information, but sales ppl were pushy (repeatedly asking if they could schedule a meeting) without being informative about what they were actually offering. they also told me false information that we had done a meeting 1 yr ago. (impossible, since I was not running my store 1 yr ago)
i’m glad the other Unilocal reviews reflected my experience with them.
