Emailed Molly Coddlers late Sunday night with an immediate need for a sitter on Tuesday, Monday morning I received a call from Shanna coming to the rescue with the coverage I needed for Tuesday. Danielle was our sitter and I loved that she was a local college student with a great background in childcare. Danielle called me to introduce herself which put my mind at ease. Being a mom of two children under 4, I had extreme hesitations about finding someone I didn’t know watch my two high energy little ones. I visited the kids on my lunch break to just see for myself and they were beyond happy! my daughter even asked if Danielle could have a sleep over and repeated over and over that Danielle is her new «Best fwend». Typically I am only in need of occasional child care but since this first experience went so well I may plan more date nights with my husband!

I’ve had two different sitters so far, both were great with my kids and left my house nice and tidy. It’s so wonderful to know that someone will be available no matter what. I’ve had multiple occasions where a privately hired sitter backs out last minute from being sick or something coming up, so to find a service I trust has turned out to be the better approach!

Absolutely LOVE this service. Used it for the first time today and I am blown away by the quality of care provided for my two little ones. Will definitely use again!

My wife and I hired Saria to watch our four kids while we had a long dinner on our vacation. He did a great job and was very engaging with all of our kids aged 3 to 10. Saria brought a chess set and his ukulele to entertain the kids and when we got back all the kids said they had a «great time». We highly recommend Saria and plan to use him again the next time we visit Newport Beach.

I have had a few changes to contract sitters from Mollycoddlers and all of the experiences have been very positive. This past Saturday, we had Christine who artfully entertained 4 small children during a wedding reception. I say artfully as the children were not cared for in a home environment which offers a specific challenge for the sitter. I was particularly impressed with her care for a 5 year old little boy. Christine must have been such a blessing for the mother of the child as she was able to enjoy herself at the wedding knowing that her son was well taken care of. This little one was never unhappy. Christine’s was clearly skilled and seemed to know exactly what activities would keep him engaged for 4 hours.

Love this company as my kids loved all of the girls that have been sent over. We had a couple of months of different sitters and I believe we had about 5 different ones (we wanted to try new people and see what worked best for the kids). Shanna (the owner) is amazing. There have been a lot of last minute requests and she has been a complete lifesaver. The girls all have very different personalities but have all been very good with the kids. I have twin almost 4 year olds and a 5 ½ year old so they are definitely a handful. Every time someone comes over they have toys or books to play with and the kids have a blast. I highly recommend this service! Anyone can sit for a few hours but we have used the sitters for full days and I think it speaks a lot when they can keep the kids busy and happy from 7 – 5. This is a wonderful service if you need a short term babysitter. I spoke with the owner over the phone before booking and she was very nice and welcomed any questions I had. The owner indicated that she personally selects and interviews the people she hires and they are all background checked. The sitter who was assigned to us, Whitney, was on time and gave a lot of attention to our toddler! Our son loved her and cried when she left. I would definitely use Mollycoddlers again if I needed to.

My husband and I had a fantastic experience with MollyCoddlers. I was in a complete panic when, once again, our toddler picked up kennel cough at day care and needed to stay home. My husband and I alternated taking days off, but both of our bosses were stressing that we needed to be in our respective offices today and I ran out of my very short list of friends on short notice. This was my very first time hiring a babysitter that I didn’t already know really well.
I got the recommendation from a friend and called and spoke with the owner Shanna. I explained my absolute dread at hiring a stranger to watch our 16 month old, but literally yesterday afternoon I called saying I needed a sitter today from 7:30 — 5:30 and she called me back shortly thereafter with a sitter. She sent me the sitter’s bio and picture so I could get a better idea of who would be taking care of our son and then called back to confirm and filled out the new client welcome packet.
Diana (sitter) called me a few minutes later and was fantastic on the phone. Very professional and courteous and put me at ease. She was very prompt this morning despite our condo complex having repeating street numbers and similar names. She came in and met my son (who was playing Mr. Shy) and I gave her a tour of our home as well as a rundown of a typical day.
I texted her late in the morning to check in and received a great reply that they had been to the park and that he got tired and was down for a nap. I just felt really comfortable and felt like he was in good hands. My husband said that when he got home she raved at what a great kid he was, and to my SHOCK, my husband said our son actually CRIED when SHE LEFT and was reaching out after her! I have NEVER seen him do that. That says it all right there.

Shanna is very fast and dependable. She can get a sitter even when you requested last minute for emergency. But I think they lack one thing — feedbacks from the family.
Some sitters are very helpful, friendly, honest, reliable. Others are so-​so or worst. It is important that the agent also get feedbacks from the family since we entrusted our kids to the sitters they send us. It is one way to determine if they pay attention to the sitters they are hiring and receive hands on feedback.
They should also provide a list of questions for their sitter to ask the parents when they sit the first time. This will help!

I use Mollycoddlers every time we need a sitter. It is so much easier than trying to keep track of which sitters are available when. Shanna has even been able to get me a sitter on short notice. We have always had really wonderful, prepared, and prompt babysitters. I don’t know how they manage to get all of the best sitters, but my kids always love them and they usually come with toys, books, or crafts. And prices are even really reasonable for Orange County.

My husband and I a terrific experience with MollyCoddlers, it’s wonderful owner, and Dasha (the terrific babysitter selected to help us while we were on vacation in Huntington Beach).
Dasha took care of our 10 month old son in the hotel room (and on small walks around the hotel property) while we enjoyed some much-​needed parents only time. She made me feel totally comfortable, and our son had a wonderful time with her.
Shanna did a great job coordinating, as well as handling questions and making sure that babysitting was one less thing we had to worry about.

We LOVE Mollycoddlers!!! Can’t say enough about them. We have used them for about 2 years. Our 1^st experience was when our less than 2yr old was getting in trouble for biting at daycare. 1 more bite and we were going to be on a «biting contract», so we called on a Sunday to see if we could get a nanny in our home the next day and Shanna was able to send a WONDERFUL nanny! We ended up doing this for about a month until our daughter outgrew this phase. We had 2 different nannies for 2 weeks each. We were so pleased that we started calling Shanna for date nights. Sure enough, she was able to send the best sitters! They would come with activities, be really energetic and our kids would warm up to them VERY quickly! We have probably used about 5 different sitters for date nights and they have each been the best. We were also looking for a part time nanny at one point. We had some very specific needs and hours and thought that Shanna would never be able to find someone quickly (we had been looking through
for a while and just had not been happy with our finds and spending too much time for nothing), within about 2 weeks she sent us our 1^st candidate who was EXACTLY who we were looking for! She was with us for about a year and a half and we LOVED her. Unfortunately she recently moved away for school, so this past weekend we decided to call Shanna again for a date night sitter and we were so happy to see that Shanna is still finding these amazing sitters! I don’t know how she has that magic touch, but every time she has hit it out of the park with wonderful sitters that our kids love. They are always very professional, call in advance to confirm our appointment, arrive on time, instantly bond with the kids and are always very active with them. I really feel like I can trust all the sitters that are sent to us. We will continue to use Mollycoddlers again and again!

Mollycoddlers was one of 4 babysitting services recommended to us by our hotel in advance of our arrival. Unlike the others I called, Shanna called me back personally, listened to my concern about leaving our young children with a stranger in an unknown city, explained that she too is a mom, and that this is why she wanted to run a business herself — to provide sitters she could trust for people like us. I signed us up immediately. Within a few hours we had a bio and photo of our sitter (Carly — she was fantastic), and then a phone call and text from our sitter. We arranged a ‘meet and greet’ for the day before she babysat our kids and we all felt comfortable. Carly babysat for us 2 days and we will definitely seek out Mollycoddlers when we’re back in the area next summer.

Cayla was great with my 1 and 2 year old boys! We will definately use Mollycoddlers on our next trip back to OC.

When my teenage daughters (aka built-​in babysitters) both went away to college I knew that I had to find a reliable sitter for my son who was 8-​years old at the time. My husband and I both started doing some research on the Internet and came up with Mollycoddlers.
From start to finish Shanna has always been professional and prompt in her responses. I try to give as much notice as possible when needing a sitter, but sometimes I have sent an email request to Shanna pretty last minute and she has always been able to place a sitter for me.
I have been using the service for 2-​years now, with a variety of sitters. Each and every one of them have been prompt, polite and my son loves them. Some of the various activities they do are playing board games, reading, riding bikes in our neighborhood, watching movies, having WII competitions and basic cooking.
I know it is not too difficult to keep an eye on an 8 – 10 year old (he is 10 now), but what can be problematic is how to keep them entertained. My son loves it when I tell him a sitter from Mollycoddlers is coming as he knows he is going to have 1:1 attention all based around things he would like to do. We usually ask for his favorite sitters, but if a new one comes he loves to read their bio and see their picture so he knows a little about them and can see if they have anything in common.

Great babysitting service! We have hired two sitters through this service and both were great. We especially liked Kelleen, who brought crafts for out toddlers to do and engaged them in all sorts of activities. I have a one year old and a three year old who are very active. She kept them both entertained all night and they did not want her to leave at the end of the evening.
Another positive– the agency can help you even at the last minute.

I live in Orange County and have used Mollycoddlers on a regular basis for sitters for the past 2 years since my youngest was under 1 year old and it is a great service. I have used at least 15 different sitters and I would say all but 2 were excellent, the other 2 being totally fine, but not awesome. All of the sitters I have used have been young women, mostly early 20’s, most of whom have a significant work history or education working with kids. It is very professional and you feel at ease that you’ve left your kids in good hands.
They will send you a bio of your sitter when your reservation is confirmed and the sitter contacts you before the date to confirm and introduce themselves. They are almost always early or on time and very reliable. It’s also very convenient that I can contact them last minute, the day before or same day and I’ve never had a problem getting a great sitter. Most of them bring activities or toys for the kids, which is fun.
The best part is that my kids both LOVE when the sitters come over «to play», while I LOVE leaving the kids to be fed, put to bed, and arrive home with them sound asleep in their beds.

Mollycoddlers is a terrific babysitting service! I have been using them for about 10 months now for periodic babysitting needs. It was such a relief to have found service I trust with sitters that are all great. We have a few favorites, but every sitter we have had (we have met about 5 in total) have been good. I also referred a friend to use Mollycoddlers when she was in town for a vacation, and she also LOVED it! She was able to go out while on vacation multiple times knowing a sitter she trusted was with her kids.
I would recommend the service to anyone. The price is good (the hourly rate is the same you would pay to anyone, the add on is the booking fee of $ 15, but it is worth it) and the service of booking is great, and the sitters are all terrific!
