Pump It Up of Irvine

Great place for a birthday party — my son had a blast at his school friend’s Birthday Party. Even the parents had fun. The staff were friendly and helpful. The layout is great — the party was setup in two stages — once you’ve had fun in one room they build anticipation for the next and the feature differences made it exciting for the kids. I would definitely recommend Pump it Up for a boy’s B-​day party (girls had fun too).

I just had a birthday party over the weekend. I’ve been to both Irvine and Lake Forest locations and I have to say, I REALLY liked Irvine a lot better. The space was well mapped out and the staff I had over the weekend was AMAZING! I didn’t have to worry about a thing. As a matter of fact, the lady setting up the party room told me «Don’t worry about a thing. You are paying for our services, so might as well enjoy your party». Unfortunately, I am horrible with names… I think one of them was Richard? HE WAS AWESOME!
The set up of this place was more spacious than the Lake Forest location. Both places were nice, but personally prefer this location. I had a party with about 65 attendees and they all had a great time.
Reading the reviews of other people, I was a bit worried since they stated that the equipment were not in the best conditions — This was not the case at all. My kids had a great party and I highly recommend this place!

Worst place ever. We came in wanting to jump and they would not let us even when it was an open jump. They said they were liable for us event tho we are 18 and could sign waivers. We had a few children with us who wanted to jump that we were babysitting and they refused to allow us. The manager proceeded to tell
Us to f**k off and said something about us being virgins. Awful service and I will never be back. Quite upset to be honest but there are a lot of better places than pump it up! Where the service is actually kind… later that night we ordered our own bounce house for half the price and it was more fun

This is a really great place to have your kids parties. I recently came for my nieces 3^rd birthday party and let me tell you, it was amazing. I mean my family didn’t have to do anything. The staff there took care of everything. They are friendly, professional, and very attentive to their guest. It’s a easy 2 hour party. You’re in you’re out and everyone had fun. I give this place two thumbs up! I’m definitely going to have my child’s party here.

I am so disappointed. I wanted to use a $ 100 voucher this location issued from November 2014 but they refused to accept it. No where on the gift certificate /​voucher does it mention an expiration date. The lady who has taken over the donations part of their business was adamant about not having any flexibility at all. Isn’t there a law in California that gift certificates are not allowed to have an expiration date? I would completely understand if the voucher has an explicitly stated expiration date. Definitely will not book any parties at this location.

I love pump it up the staff is so nice and it’s a very efficient establishment. Parents don’t need to worry about a thing.

I wanted to hold my daughter’s birthday here so I went yesterday at 6:30pm with her to check it out and pick up some info. Unfortunately they wouldn’t let us in because they told us they were closed. Here on Unilocal it says they are open until 7pm — but apparently that’s not true. The girl working told us they close after the last event of the day (6pm the day I was there) and the only way to know what time they will close on any given day is to call and ask. I told her I just wanted to show my daughter what it looked like and pick up some info on hosting a party and she told me to come back another day. I guess I’ll take my money elsewhere.

My 4 year old granddaughter went here for a birthday party Saturday had a lot of fun in the jump house but it must be dusty and dirty cause I had to take her to urgent care for weezing and coughing that afternoon so be ware of the fun it’s not worth it

Your prices are up on the website. But your staff and your website makes the whole situation out to be much much more than what is truly offered…
The money isn’t an issue. That wasn’t even my complaint. I was generously offering to the staff who seemed to be a manager that, in comparison to other like locations, you simply offer the least for the most expensive party location, and instead of thinking what’s best for the company like «maybe we should look into price comparison» or «maybe we should see if we can offer a lite more for the pleasing factor of our guest»
To create a great company, that will survive that isn’t one of a kind, and has a lot of competition, you must figure out what you can do to be better than the rest…
But that ok, because I’m not the only bad review on your page complaining about being offered more and not having it delivered.

Scam Watch Out.
I Had my child’s birthday party here. At first The experience with the staff was great, and it was a fun experience. THEN… After my child’s party my husband went to the front counter to pay our remaining balance for the party. That’s when we encountered super rude girl with dark hair. Wish I had got her name. So here’s what happened…
When I had booked the party I had called and discussed a promotion they have advertised on their website offering «100 dollars off any party between so and so dates.» The staff member I spoke with assured me that I would pay my deposit to book the party, then on the day of the party, we would owe the remaining balance, minus this discount.
They even called me after I booked the party to confirm everything (which was a nice touch) and we again discussed this discount, and I was again assured that it would be applied at the time of the party…
So you can imagine my frustration when my husband goes to pay our balance the day of the party and this girl tells him that we owe WAY more than agreed upon, plus she added in gratuity on her own. He told her that we had specifically booked the party with the discount and she told him «Well it’s not on my paper, and so you must not have mentioned it at the time of booking. You have to do that to get the discount». Like 100 dollars is just a tiny amount, that someone is not going to realize they’re being overcharged.
So I now had to leave the party and my guests, to go deal with this chick, since she was now demanding we tell her the name of the staff member who we spoke to originally. (Not sure why that even matters since they should honor their coupon that is up on their website). When I said that of course I don’t know the names of the (multiple) people I had spoken to, she rolled her eyes and sighed and said she would call the owner, since at this point I refused to pay…
As my guests were now leaving while I was dealing with this, several minutes later she rudely said the owner would honor it «this time»… As if that was doing me some sort of favor. And was rolling her eyes and just plain giving the stink eye the whole time we paid. We also said we’d prefer to tip our attendants ourselves, and made her remove the 50 extra dollars in «gratuities» she had added, and again she was super annoyed by that. (Like I’d want her to get any portion of the tips).
This girl handled this situation very POORLY. If her paper was incorrect, she should have just contacted her manager or owner right away when we said there was an error, without involving the customer and making US to feel like we were lying or doing something to mess up her day. SO Very unprofessional. And just Tacky.
I’m sure they do this to everyone who tries to redeem their «promotions» online. As I had done everything right in this situation to be eligible for the discount, and was still hassled and treated very poorly for standing up for myself. Bad business practice.
Hopefully I can get ahold of someone at corporate, to let them know about this issue as well. I still can’t believe how she treated us.

Came here for a birthday party recently. Great concept, especially for kids around 5 – 10 years old. And for adults that like to pretend they’re on the show wipeout lol (me). The kiddos (and adults) had a blast here. I love how the staff coordinator moved to party along right on schedule. Overall great place to throw a bounce house party!

I recently threw my sons 7^th birthday part here and we had a blast ! I usually have thrown him private bday parties at various venues but doing all the planning and coordinating myself. I found myself so consumed with all the details and being a good host and ensuring everyone was having fun and entertained that it was more stressful than fun at times. Pump it up took away all the leg work and I actually got to enjoy myself and enjoy the party this time ! Glow party included everything from pizza and beverages, 2 hours play time. Glow gear for 25 kids and even set up all your decorations for u and handle all the clean up ! They also have a staff member take photos throughout entire event and give u all the images ! The adults had just as much fun as the kids and the staff was great ! So happy we changed it up this year and hope to be back soon !!

Have come here over the years for their open bounce times which were great. We decided to have my daughters 6^th birthday & make it glow themed. I must say the staff went above & beyond! The kids had such a great time & the staff was very pleasant to work with and managed the kids very well. It was so nice to have them run everything and not have to worry about timing. This was the first birthday I actually enjoyed as well since I didn’t have to stress about what to do when. Not to mention the help from the party room coordinator who set up the room perfect, helped hand out pizza, and cut the cake for us. I seriously cannot say enough about the staff.
Yes there if limits to what you can bring but it is very reasonable. We had the party on a Wednesday so the kids got to eat free (pizza) and I ordered extra for the adults. I was able to bring in fruits, Vegas, drinks, and chips as well as the cake.
Thank you so much for making my little girls birthday the best she has had. We will definitely be coming back again.

I just wanted to let you know about our experience last Sunday for open jump, which was stated to be until 12:30 pm. At about 12:15, your staff approached parents stating that they needed to leave because they double booked and had a party coming in ASAP. Honestly, I was not really bothered that we were asked to leave a little early, but it was HOW we were asked to leave. Staff began stopping the kids mid play, saying, «OUT!!! Everybody Out!» He then proceeded to stop my child in the little car and told him «Out! You! Out! Everyone needs to go! It was so sudden and abrupt. It was confusing and upsetting for the kids. We were literally being THROWN OUT, and barely had time to grab our stuff on the way out. They didn’t even let me finish putting my kids shoes on in the room, we had to go out to the hallway.
I was shocked. It was so incredibly offensive to be treated this way as a customer, especially when one would expect a little more tact and courtesy considering YOUR staff screwed up the schedule. One would expect an apology for the inconvenience and YOUR mistake, instead of just panicking and throwing everyone out in record speed.
I tried to email the company, but everything bounced back. Figures.

Came for a birthday party. The staff is really on point about keeping the party moving without seeming rude. The party was two hours and consisted of an hour of bounce time in one room, then moving on to bounce in another room, then to another room for food and cake. The facilities looked pretty clean but my son got pinkeye the next day! He had a blast though and it’s nearby home, so I’d prob check out coming here during their regular hours one day.

Overall the facility is nice and would recommend for a slightly older age group 5 – 8. My 4 year old had fun but they had tiling on the last portion of both rooms and we kept having kids slip and slide all over it, confusing because they require you wear socks which slip easily on the tile. Telling 2 – 4 year olds not to run in a play room was tricky. The Lake Forest location is fully carpeted so probably gonna book there next time if we choose this type of party again. The staff was very friendly in Irvine and went above and beyond to help us in regards to the events themselves. I just have a bitter taste in my mouth after my daughter slipped and hit her head. After 5 or 6 parties in Lake Forest never anticipated slippery floor as an issue like it was in Irvine.

What a FUN morning! I took my 4 year old to play here after purchasing tickets off of Groupon. Boy did we have fun!
Parking was easy and the facility was clean. It wasn’t crowded so it gave me a chance to go down the big slides with my little guy. Although, we did not visit the bathrooms. Or the snack area, we had a blast!
The only downer is the height limit. My twins are still a little too short to play here. We will be back soon!

You know those blow up bouncers/​jumpers you see at the park and in people’s front yards for kid birthday parties? Well, Pump It Up is like that but ten times better!
Pump It Up is a great and unique alternative from traditional kid parties. They offer a variety of packages depending on what you’re looking for and everything was well organized.
They keep all parties separated by rooms, so you don’t have to worry about mixing in with other kids and parents that you don’t know. That staff kept the kiddos engaged as they called them over several times for fun games. Adults are welcomed to enter the jumpers as well, but everyone is required to wear socks.
I don’t know who had more fun… the parents or the kids!
