Dr Tran is the very best in the business. I have been going here since I married my wife. My wife has been going here for many years with her kids. You can trust Dr Tran and if he can’t help you Dr Morrison next door can.

20 years with Dr. Tran and still going to see him at least twice a year. He is the best dentist in the area and dental hygienist Chi, she is so good of what she does.

Dr. Tran and his entire staff are absolutely wonderful. Every one handles my two children with special needs with the utmost care and sensitivity. Dr. Tran never puts you through any unnecessary procedures. Just by looking at my daughter’s X-​ray he could tell she would not need novicane for a cavity filling. Sure enough my non-​verbal daughter didn’t flinch when the drilling began. No needles! I call Dr. Tran my «Zen» dentist. His calm and his knowledge just amaze me. He made a bridge for me (fixing someone else’s work that had shifted neighboring teeth) and made me proud to smile again. What a blessing to have found his practice!

A fantastic experience! I have referred many people and every person has been extremely happy! The whole staff is great, I made an appointment after talking with the receptionist who was super friendly and knowledgeable… They gave me a quote to fix my front tooth that was fair, Dr. Quan did a great job, stuck to the quote and even made some wonderful improvements :) I was sold and very grateful to have found this wonderful dentist and person… I have been back several times and will definitely continue to recommend everyone I know…

After moving down to irvine from Northern California my mom told me I had to find a local dentist to get cleanings. I Unilocaled around and also saw on a dental website that a lot of people liked Dr. Tran so I made an appointment.
His place is located in a plaza on barranca near sylvan learning center and a ramen place. Plenty of parking. The actual place is kind of small and if you’re in the first exam chair you’re right next to the reception area.
It was kind of hard to get an appointment for the time I wanted since I’m in school and working so I saw Dr. Tran like a month after I scheduled my appointment.
Overall the staff and hygienists are gentle and very nice. A cleaning only took about 45 minutes including having Dr. Tran come and look at my teeth. I really like him because he is knowledgeable and is all about prevention. He told me I grind my teeth even though my previous dentist never said. He also explains why things happen like why I have cavities or why my gums bleed or why I got a chip on my tooth etc. For someone like me I like understanding why my body reacts to things like stress or what I eat and how I can prevent it from happening again. I felt like I could ask him anything about my teeth and he would know how to answer. I even remember asking him if you should brush before or after breakfast! (He said before is fine btw and that you shouldn’t brush more than twice a day and to brush gently because it could wear out your enamel).
Overall very satisfied with Dr. Tran!

Well, I just paid my visit to my dentist a couple days ago after putting it off for a year and a half (oops!) mostly cause I started feeling sensitivity in my teeth so I knew it was a bad sign. I thought one of my fillings were wearing down but turns out it was a small cavity! (Gosh haven’t had one of those since I was like. 9 yrs old. –_​_​_​-​) Dr. Tran was able to catch it with his naked eye, then proceeded to take new x-ray’s just incase there was something more he might be missing.
Good news: it was just a simple cavity, but he said if I had waited another 6 months or so I would need to get a root canal! so it was a good thing I came in to get it checked up on. I got examined, my cavity filled (with anesthetics), x-​rays taken, and my teeth cleaned in an hour flat. I will have to say that deserves 5 stars alone! super impressive.
I’ve been coming to Dr. Tran for about 12 ½ years now since I moved to Irvine and he’s been nothing short of amazing. This last visit only proved how professional he is in his expertise. he had a new hygienist that had 5 yrs of experience at another dental office help him out and pretty much used me as an example patient. Throughout the filling process he was quizzing and questioning her on the spot with the procedures that needed to be taken, and she was shocked with how thorough and precise he was. She had mentioned how her previous dentist didn’t take the same measures and he said that he is very thorough only because it’s what’s best for the patient. that put me at ease!
I’m very glad that I’ve found a good dentist that I’ve stuck with for more than half my life. Dr. Tran is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly.
There may be a reason behind my recent cavity. Layer Cake bakery IS in the same plaza and I DO love their macaroons… haha! But hopefully the next visit I have will be cavity free: x

With my sweet tooth, it’s a wonder why I don’t have a regular dentist. I haven’t had one since I got my braces taken off more than a decade ago! I usually have a one time thing with the dentists I see for annual cleanings. They don’t tend to impress me too much for me to return again. I was in need of a cleaning this time around and was referred by my coworker.
When I arrived for my appointment, I have to admit the ENTIRE staff was friendly and professional. From the girl who checked me in at the front desk, the girl who took my x-​rays, the girl that buffed my teeth, right down to the dentist himself who cleaned my teeth.
Dr. Tran runs a one man show (it’s his own office). But he knows what he’s doing and does it well. He’s quite talkative, but at the same time very informative as he educated me about teeth hygiene while he was doing my cleaning.
He’s very thorough and quick and took the time to answer any questions I had at the end of my visit. Plus I got a goodie bag with floss and toothbrushes… score!
I enjoyed my dental visit very much. Almost too much.
Then I went a few doors down to Layer Cake Bakery to try a cupcake right after my cleaning. Haha, I guess it’s okae to indulge and give into my sweet tooth now. Because I think I finally found the regular dentist that I’ve been searching for!

Really? No ones going to review Doc Tran? Maybe Unilocal just hasn’t caught on yet in Irvine. LA loves it. San Francisco loves it.

This is probably the best dentist I’ve ever been too. He’s professional, he’s personable, and hes really good. Hes not going to ding on garbage you dont need, and hes not going to waste your time by keeping you in a waiting room or warming a chair, they run an ultra tight ship here.
I guess I like him becuase he’ll roll up his sleeves and do the dirty work if his hygienist is occupied with another patient and hes always really positive.
Last dentist I had did a bunch of stuff he wasn’t qualifed to do, (like a botched root canal) Trans not afraid to rfer you out if he thinks another proffesional can handle it better.
his equipment is top notch, and his facility is amazing for a one man show. He has just about every new tool you can think of, and a whole back-​up exam room in case the main one has a problem. How cool is that?!
I live 500 miles away now, but still only see him becuase hes the only dude I trust with my teeth. I dont fly to OC just to see him, but I see him when I visit my folks.
