David has been a member of the EMS community since his sophomore year in high school. David began his experience as a lifeguard /​swim instructor. David works as an Reserve Firefighter and a licensed Paramedic. He is certified in ACLS, PALS and PHTLS.

I registered with my club for the class. It has been 2 ½ months now and none of us has received our CPR cards. The instructor has been unresponsive, and even blocked/​deleted members’ messages when we have tried to contact him.

DO NOT sign up for CPR class with this company!
This instructor and company is extremely unprofessional and totally unreliable. I, like all of the other reviewers, showed up to class only to find out that it was cancelled. The receptionist told us to call his number to reschedule, and every time I call to reschedule, no one picks up. Personally, I do not want to reschedule with someone so unreliable. What makes me think that they won’t cancel on me again? They require that you cancel 48 hrs in advance but the instructor doesn’t even follow that rule. In addition, the class was supposed to start at 10AM, but I didn’t even receive an email saying that it was cancelled until 20 minutes after that. As if this wasn’t bad enough, I talked to my colleagues and they are paying about $ 40 for their American Heart Association certified CPR courses. This company charges $ 75 for the same course, except they don’t even bother showing up. I am still trying to get ahold of them to get a refund. Hopefully I don’t get the same terrible credit card experience that all these other Unilocal reviewers are having. I repeat, DO NOT sign up for CPR class with this company!

I had a HORRIBLE experience with RTR. The instructor did not show up to the class despite me having already paid for the class 5 days prior to the class. I was waiting for about an hour, and Ryan was unable to pick up his phone or respond to emails.
I tried contacting Ryan and he said he DIDN’T KNOW he had a class to teach. He said he would issue me a refund but has yet to do so. It has already been 2 weeks, and I am constantly contacting him to give me my refund. I finally called my credit card company and they are investigating the issue.
DO NOT use Ready to Rescue. It is a scam and they will try to take your money!

I have taken Both ACLS, and BLS courses! Both were amazing! The Owner Ryan did a good job of answering questions in a timely manner! I have no complaints and will continue to use Ready to rescue whenever i need to recert!

My experience with RTR was a poor one. I signed up for the class online a week prior to the class. I arrived to my class only to have NO INSTRUCTOR show up. I waited with two other students for nearly 45 minutes before giving up. Despite having my phone number, email and mailing address, no one bothered to contact me. After calling the owner, Ryan, several times and sending emails, I was told that the instructor had a car problem. Ryan was very unapologetic and didn’t offer any compensation (discounted class or anything else). Then after several more days, emails, and phone calls later, I was finally rescheduled for class the following week.
The instructor was 15 minutes late. In that time, the security guard in the building told those of us waiting that, «Someone will probably show up as there are a lot of you today». Which makes me think the «car problem» that happened the previous week was probably not true.
The class instructor was good. He got through the material quickly and we got out in a timely manner.
We were told we would get our CPR card the same day. FALSE! I got it nearly a week later after several more emails to Ryan. We were required to buy the BLS handbook, which I still HAVE NOT RECEIVED.
Pros:
* Instructor got us through the material quickly.
Cons:
* First attempt at the class, NO INSTRUCTOR showed up
* No CPR card given day of class
* Bought BLS book, but never received (did receive a refund after filing complaint with BBB)
* Poor customer service
I would recommend saving your time and money and going through a different agency. Clearly service is not a priority.
