We wanted to redo our entertainment center as it only held a 42″ tv. We wanted to cover the middle part of the entertainment center up with drywall and have a 60″ flat screen installed since we love watching movies and sports. We looked on Unilocal and S&B Construction had extremely high reviews. We had contacted about 12 construction companies and Zachi was the only one who responded to us within an hour of our inquiry. He came out the next day and gave us an awesome quote. He was able to start the project right away. He was on time and diligent. Zachi was extremely knowledgeable and had some great ideas on how to make our entertainment center look amazing. Both Zachi and his helper were perfectionists and super helpful. Our entertainment center looks incredible. We will definitely be recommending S&B/Zachi to all of our friends and family and will be using them in the near future for other projects around our house. We moved to a new home a few months ago and I needed a general contractor to add drywall and a door to close up an open closet space. Zachi did a great job! I’m very happy with the results. Zachi is honest, knowledgeable, fair priced, and a nice guy. I highly recommend Zachi for any general construction needs.

Just recently completed a full kitchen demolition using Zachi as my contractor, and I could not have been happier with the work that was done. Zachi made sure that they ran on time and to schedule as I had a very limited time frame before my cabinets were to be installed. He was also great with suggesting other options to keep costs down and within budget. Due to this, I also had them complete additional work on 2 of my bathrooms, and have a few more projects lined up within the next few months. I highly recommend Zachi, as he has been extremely easy to work with from the time of meeting with him for an estimate through to the completion of the first part of my house project.

Zachi has decided not to return two messages that I left over the span of about 7 days. I’m sorry to leave such a negative review for this guy as it sounds like from the other reviews that he does great work but not returning calls is a huge deal, at least for me. It points to bigger problems and I want nothing to do with them.

We hired Zachi to remodel our fireplace, removing tile and creating a new mantle with lower hearth and he did an amazing job. He also removed built in shelving units, retextured walls and painted, mounted our tv above the mantle, amongst other odd jobs we threw at him. He was prompt, professional, and very easy to work with. We will definitely call on him in the future and highly recommend him!

Zachi and his team just completed our bathroom remodel, which included removing and installing new tile flooring, drywall and texture work, and installing a new pedestal sink/​plumbing. Zachi was happy to help us, even with all the small details, including things like deciding a grout color and choosing baseboard. We absolutely love our new bathroom and we are so happy to know we can call Zachi for our future jobs!

Finally a Contractor I can say a good word about!!!
I’m my 11 years of living in my home I have 3 remodeling project done.
My past 3 experience wite contractors were a big disappointing :-(now I need my kitchen and bathroom remodeling.
So I did my homework before hiring a contractor for those 2 project.
I called 3 different companies.
S&B construction was recommended by friends so I called their office to schedule a time to get a free quote and Zack (the owner) answered the phone. He was pleasant and informative, and was able to schedule the time I needed.
He called me the morning he was to be at my house to look over the project and he said he was running early, asking if it was ok he headed there… Of course I was happy to accommodate, I was actually running late and had a LOT of question regarding the project.
Zack was so professional and had so much knowledge.
I know I made the right choice right off the bat. On the very first day of the construction work the crews were on time and we’ll equipped.
S&B construction preformed above and beyond my expectations they worked cleanly and without any unnecessary delay.
I would definitely recommend them.

I found Zachi through a decorator. He helped put up a panel wall in my bar. He was very quick, clean and professional. I would definitely use his services again!

I used Zachi to fix drywall that was damaged in my garage ceiling due to a leak from the unit above my condo. I contacted Zachi and he responded right away and was able to come by and give me a quote within a day. This was a lot better than other contractors who would ask me a ton of questions before they would even consider coming out (which they never did) or ones who did not return my call at all. On top of that, he was able to provide a quote that night and when I was ready to schedule the job, we were able to get it scheduled within another few days.
The work Zachi did was fast and clean. They came by in the morning and while it was not a large job, covered up all of my personal items in the garage, installed the new drywall and were out of there in a couple hours. The work was perfect and the damaged drywall was replaced and the ceiling looks good as new. Overall, I recommend Zachi to anyone needing a good reliable contractor.

Fear! That was why I never had done remodeling before. You hear all the horror stories of bad contractors — taking too long, doing a half-​assed job, while going 50% over budget. Then, I got a slab leak. No choice but to do something. I have two bathrooms. At the time, they could have been on «world’s worst bathrooms»; hideous 1970’s «décor» with disco lighting and stained, pattern linoleum flooring. The shower stall had a plastic, accordion-​style door with magnets on each end (who DOES that?!). I figured, whatever a contractor does, can’t be worse.
Then, I found Zachi of S & B Construction on Unilocal.Best thing I ever did for my home was to call Zachi. My house and my quality of enjoyment of it, and my view of what a contractor can be, have completely and utterly changed.
I could tell from the moment he came over to do the bid he was great, and he only exceeded all my expectations throughout the job. He and his team completely gutted both baths, and now I have two bathrooms that are essentially luxury hotel baths. They are beautifully done (everyone says so!). He put in stone tile showers (with glass accent tile — it’s so awesome!), a deep soaking tub, custom glass shower doors, stone floors, wood vanities with granite countertops, and custom lighting. They’re bright and colorful (that’s my taste!), and it makes me happy just to enter the rooms.
The job was done from start to finish in three weeks. Yes, that fast! That included Zachi arranging for the plumbing inspections and everything. We never had to worry about any of it!
Zachi was there every step of the way, from design (he met up with us to buy the materials — it was great!) to finishing touches, and we could not have done it without him. Actually, his intuition is terrific, because he even had some better ideas than we did!
I liked all the workers on his team. They were polite and courteous, very hard working, and always on time. Zachi was constantly supervising their progress, as well as always available and responsive to questions.
Here’s what I’m certain of. Zachi wants the customer to be happy. I asked lots of questions and wanted specific things. I only ever had to ask for something once; Zachi ALWAYS remembered without my reminding him of things and always got them done! Even things I just mentioned once during the bid got done.
This is important, too. He always left us with a «usable» house during the renovation. Although he did both baths, he staggered the demolition and renovation, so we always had the basic facilities. At night and especially on weekends, he’d make sure the house was cleaned up enough for us to do what we needed.
Budget? The job was done to the budget on the nose (I went over by a few hundred, because I picked out an extra accent tile), even though things happened (e.g., the plumber had to put in an access panel for one of the showers). The budget was extremely detailed (way more than any others we had been given), so you knew exactly what to expect. Amazing!
On a personal level, Zachi is smart, super nice and pleasant to work with.
I can’t thank Zachi enough. Bad day at work, I head to my gorgeous soaking tub, the world falls away and aaaahhhhh! Can’t beat that.
I love my house. Actually, it’s more of a home now. Because of Zachi. You’d be very lucky to work with him.

I found Zachi from Unilocal and felt that I should share my experience with other Unilocal users. I have a couple set of shower doors in both bathrooms needed to be fixed for months. I have called a couple of handymen in the past, but one came once to look at them but then didn’t show up on the next appointment. The other one’s schedule didn’t work out. After that, I was discouraged and had put off these projects. Thanks for the other Unilocal users’ reviews, I found Zachi. He was fast and professional and in and out of my house 3 times within 3 days in total and both sets of shower sliding doors are now fixed. He charges by hours, but his charge was very ethical and reasonable. I felt that he undercharged me.
We hadn’t used one of the showers for years because the shower doors were falling apart, so I am so grateful that it’s finally fixed.

I highly recommend Zachi and S&B Construction for any home improvement project. We have done a medium size renovation project including 3 bathrooms and a number of other things. Zachi was extremely professional and, just as important, very pleasant to deal with. His workers and sub-​contractors were all very good and we are very happy with the results. As with any projects we had a number of decisions and changes along the way. Zachi was always very patient and easy going about things and never tried to compromise on quality or appearance. Zachi is the man for you! He has helped my parents with numerous projects, and has helped me with a few minor projects in my own home. He has been punctual, courteous, and honest. Zachi is the real deal. He helped us with renovating our master bathroom and it came out GREAT.
