It’s good. It’s fine. It’s not my favorite boba joint, but its not one I definitely won’t go to. I usually find myself here on my way to or from work. It’s easy to get do since its so close to the freeway, and it’s not like a hate their product. Need a quick boba fix and you’re by the freeway, this place is good! Just not my favorite.

I’ve tried just about everything on their menu and haven’t had any problems. The drinks are good and the staff are friendly.

Your average boba shop, nothing special. The tapioca pearls here weren’t as sweet as I like and were a little to soft for my taste.

Ive been to this place twice and both times Ive been pretty happy with m visit. The place is always clean, and the employees are pretty bubbly(Ive only experienced the female workers), but in any case, I feel that even though the males are pretty background guys, they all make an effort to acknowledge your presence. They have a really cute menu that I weirdly am obsessed with. I love the neon markers(?) on black chalkboard look lol. Everything they use is clean and is easily visible for customers to see that they clean the tools thoroughly before the next order. I really appreciate their great customer service and how they, without making it seem like they try so hard by acting fake, care for their customer satisfaction. Every greet and farewell is met with a smile ! Great job guys !!

The boba wasn’t even chewy in a good way lol it was bad ahah but the customer service was in the middle me & my bf gave better service than them I even gave them a tip, the cups are too small for the price

i don’t like to rant but this one is a really negative review of my experience yo! i just ordered a strawberry smoothie at 2:10 p.m. your customer service is down in the sewer. seriously more or less this person who is a rude server tall, asian and wears glasses didn’t give me good customer service. management: if you read this, you need to watch out for this worker. he got salty at me just because i tried 5 banged up dollars just for a smoothie and didn’t like it. i didn’t like it because the milk overrode the taste. too much milk in the smoothie, not even frozen enough to blend in the strawberries. i’ve been a connoisseur of blended drinks so i know the texture and let me tell ya, it ain’t right and it stank. and because of too much milk you say i can’t replace the drink? *smh* you didn’t replace my shitty drink or gave me a refund. self explanatory from this person. i really dont care for refunds, honestly. but it could have been much better and maybe i would come back. you guys didn’t apologized. if you have a policy, at least you should apologized for the inconvenience especially if you can’t remake it. you guys didn’t let me see your manager. bullshit, why can’t i talk to him. thats way out of the line. maybe you management can do better at explaining it than the server who did a bad job. you guys say we made it and we can not refund it. policy: fine. but that’s still really stupid. fine, let’s see the business go in the downfall. it is a norm in many restaurants and fast-service places. know the customer’s rights people. if you don’t honor it, they wont’t come back. and i am one of them. well said shaved n boba. now for all those who want to ask me what are the alternatives: for those who don’t wanna leave the plaza: hamada-ya, inside mitsuwa, best coffee-jelly drink, no boba tho caffe bene, if you dare. i dont recommend it tho as it is about same quality those willing to drive: 7 leaves on walnut and jeffrey(arbor village) lollicup(same plaza as above), tapioca express(across from the plaza mentioned above) bambu(arbor village), better variety class 302(marketplace or culver and michelson) cha for tea(uci student center)

Meh. I got excited because this is the only boba shop in this area, but the drinks were not what I hoped for. The prices are decent, but the boba and the tea don’t taste fresh and as good as most of the other boba places around Irvine. This place does have the huge advantage of being the only boba shop in the plaza, so at least you know you can get your boba fix here if you must, but if you have time to go somewhere else, you can probably get better boba.

I have been coming here for almost a year and always get great service! I have become a regular and a new fellow popping boba addict! I like the variety of flavors this place offers! I definitely will still continue being a loyal customer! :)

Not the best boba place, but not the worst either. I’d say it’s pretty okay. It’s the only boba place in the plaza though, so that’s what makes it unique. Prices are fair. Drinks are okay. I come here because it’s convenient, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get boba here. Parking is usually fine(it’s a big plaza), but it gets very crowded around lunch time.

$ 3.25 for a taro milk tea(regular sized) not the best but not the worst either. The shop is small and cozy– which can be good for a small group to grab drinks and hang out here. I do not think they make any snacking food like pop corn chicken or anything. The only thing they have would be Macarons…

Shaved N Boba has the advantage of being next-door to Mitsuwa and also the only boba shop in this particular shopping plaza. I stopped by here after having a delicious piping hot bowl of ramen next door from Santouka. I ordered a peach green tea($ 2.95) with aloe(35 cents) and it was served promptly without issues. The only downside is that the aloe was a little bit mushy, I like being able to chew my drink add-ons. Overall, this place is pretty average and not unique, but it has a prime location and is perfectly OK. I might come back another time to have some shaved snow.

Been here once before and loved it this time too! The two fellas working the counter were super nice. I’m usually not a big«add money to the tip jar» gal, but we gave them money in the tip jar — they were SO nice! Helped me choose a tea flavor, gave me a specific time to take the tea bag out so it didn’t steep too long.(Awesome!!!) He suggested hubby get almond milk in his boba — now he’s a fan! And the kids would not, COULDNOT stop watching them shave the ice in the cute machine that was painted like a cow(what can I saw — it went over well!) We shall be back, sooner rather than later.

I liked this place until they changed the usual staff. The guy with crazy hair and earrings always does a great job mixing my tea. He gets my request :) Ever since he’s gone my tea is either too sweet or tasteless. There’s a heavier looking Chinese guy that I see more often and he seemed pretty rude to the customers the last 2 times I visited. A girl told him she had asked for no ice… He made it obvious that he was annoyed of her and so he opened the lid and scooped the ice out with a spoon(lol). The female staffs are pleasant and friendly but as far as tea it’s nothing special. I only come here b/c the location is convenient. I would say this is my last time here.

Location. Location. Location. No other Boba in this plaza. I keep forgetting the punch cards so i’ve collected about half a dozen. Usually consistent and short lines. Shaved snow is generous and good here.

I love there boba! Taste good and fresh!!! I had there mango slush with boba, lychee, and mango jelly taste! There’s music here is awesome! The owner and staff are nice and friendly! When I come in here they know my drink! I will recommend the slush! It is tasty! But they also have shaved ice too! After when you grab your boba you can sit outside with friends family and or co workers!

This place is ok. Pretty standard milk tea with boba and such. A couple of large milk teas with boba will cost you $ 7 – 8. What’s hilarious to me is the name. If you know what boba actually means in Chinese, the name is really funny and sexually suggestive. Shaved ‘n’ Boba. And you know it’s intentional because they didn’t say shaved snow or shaved ice, which would have been better searchable terms in an app.

We were strolling the area after dinner when my aunt decided that she could go for some dessert. My cousin mentioned that she has been here before and it was okay so we figured we would stop by since it was within walking distance(less than 3 minutes away). When we got there, there was nobody there but by the time we left(an hour or so later) there was a line so it does get more crowded during the night. They sell shaved snow and boba but we chose to order a large shaved ice to share. You get to pick the flavor of your snow and the sauce that you want. We went with the milk shaved snow and condensed milk. Then we found out that if you want toppings, you have to pay($ 0.50) for each one or get 3 toppings for $ 1.00. What a ripoff. But anyways, we went with 3 for a $ 1.00. Initially we asked for strawberries. They were out. Okay, how about mango? Sorry, out of that too. Blueberries? Actually we are out of all fresh fruit. At this point we were annoyed and asked for them to throw in an additional topping on the house since they were out of all 3 toppings they wanted. They refused. Talk about bad service. We ended up getting red beans, mochi, and mango jelly. To make the situation so much worse, they were skimpy with the toppings too. Thankfully the snow itself tasted okay. Artificial but not too bad. That is their only saving grace. Considering that there are so many other shaved ice/boba places in the area, I don’t anticipate this particular shop lasting too long. While it isn’t the worst, it isn’t the best. It’s kind of cheap though so it definitely won’t hurt your wallet. 2⁄5

I better write this review before I completely forget. I came through with K. dot and Nsquare after picking up wings to-go before K. dot’s bball league game. This was the closest boba spot around(being in the same complex). I saw the ratings were just average but hey I wanted to give them a chance, especially since Boiling Point is out of the drink we would usually get. I ordered the green tea green apple and the other two got milk teas. The place was dead. I thought this place would be super busy but it wasn’t. We were the only customer there so our drinks came out within 5 minutes(maybe even less). My green tea green apple tastes pretty decent. I liked it. I thought it was a solid 3 star. K. dot and Nsquare told me their milk teas were really milky and just bland. It was ok but they didn’t really like it that much. From the looks of it, I already thought it was watered down a bit, but hey its the closest boba place. The store is really small. Its like a small shop. The customer service was pretty good, fast and efficient. They were pretty cool and didn’t say anything when Nsquare ate her to-go wings there though so I guess they’re really friendly. However I factor that in with average drinks so I think a 3 star is a solid rating for this place. Realistically I probably wouldn’t come here again but its not bad, just not my preferred place for boba. Perhaps their shaved snow is a lot better, but I didn’t try it.
