DO NOT go to this gas station if you have kids!!! If you need a receipt or a car wash, do not go to this Shell station because the receipts never print. This forces you to «See the attendant» to get a receipt for the car wash code or for your records.
This has happened every time for me, which forces me to get my 3 year old out of her car seat to go walk inside and get my car wash code or receipt. It’s uncanny that it has happened so many times. Have fun getting your child back in the car seat. The attendants and this Shell station don’t realize that parents go to drive through car washes so we don’t have to get our children out of their car seats.
If it happens once or twice, it’s a simple malfunction that you assume will be fixed. This has happened to me at least 6 times. I keep hoping they fix the problem because its close to my child’s daycare, has decent gas prices and a car wash.

I was in the OC this past summer on an internship. I was getting paid tons of internship money, and decided to upgrade my life from Chevron (with techron) to Shell. The results were immediate, my cholesterol went down, I was putting up more weight in the gym, and my car drove faster than ever before. I reached unsafe driving speeds of 50mph on the 405 freeway. I was making a 30 minute commute in merely 38 minutes due to construction (thanks Caltrans). Summer has long passed, but I’ll never forget the Shell Difference.

Back in the day when I had a shell card I would fill up at this station since it was on the way or back from my softball games and when I need to fill up with Shell it’s a nice gas station with a car wash and mini mart I always got my Gatorade or water from here when I didn’t have any with me for my games. Another plus it’s next to Target too.

OMG this is what they call a car wash? If you want a car wash please be warned their car wash doesn’t work. The gas station lights are not on and it’s dark. Don’t waste your money!

This gas station is not a consumer friendly place to spend you hard earned money. The attendants are rude and racist and disrespectful and has zero knowledge on how to do refund transaction. Avoid this place…

Okay station. Never great gas prices, but not the worst.
I use it often for a quick car wash.

Worst gas pumps ever. Takes forever to authorize. But I have to go here to get 20 cents of a gallon from my Ralph’s rewards.

Told the clerk the pump was not working. Looked at me and said it was working fine before. I told him it doesn’t work now. He said again it was working fine before. Doesn’t care to check it out… he was obviously trying to place the blame on me. Told me to just go to another pump or go to a station with a working pump. Unfortunately this station has the cheapest diesel in town. Moved to the other pump to watch another lady go through the exact same scenario. She went in to tell the clerk and he says to go to another pump and now he will check it out. Yeah, right. Stellar customer service… I applaud you.

This gas station sucks so bad. I don’t know why I keep going here. I always run into problems using my card here!!! freaking annoying

This shell gas station is one of the cheapest in irvine, and when use ralphs (this month is 0,40 cents cheaperrrrrr), great and is close to the gym to do my morning workout. Close to my chipotle when not in the mood for cooking…

Can’t really complain. It’s a gas station with ever changing prices right? It’s pretty small inside with one register on the left as you walk in. Not a great selection of food. They also don’t have any restrooms! Waiting in line to pay sucks when there Is a long line due to the one register they have :(

Rude, very unhappy employees, and pumps that frequently have problems, e.g., card reader does not work, pumps half a gallon then cuts off. Car wash is so-​so; lousy on drying and low water pressure. Makes no sense that it’s cheaper to buy the car wash at the machine at the entrance to the wash than at the gas pump where you are already spending money on fuel. Yes, that’s right; you get penalized by a dollar if you buy the car wash with your gas purchase. Makes no sense.

Gas prices are relatively cheap. Not the cheapest in Irvine, but ok.
Location is clean.

Cheapest gas in the area aside from Costco. Best quality. Tested on numerous drives to San Diego. Not far from the freeway.

Like every other shell, but super clean, and cheaper! Good quality gas, less wait time since it’s tucked away next to a Target, and an air fill center that is rarely used!
I love to get gas here. Plus, it’s next to the District too, so you can come here after burning off cash shopping and save up on filling your tank!

Great place to get gas. I commute to and from Long Beach every day and this place has the cheapest «quality» gas in the area, and is comparable to the Shell I fill up at close to my work.
Only had one just okay experience here when I needed to fill up air and the machine turned off on me after like 30sec. Probably should have asked the guy inside to fix that.

My back tire was starting to go flat so I took it to the Shell Station I always go to, to buy gas and the occasional late night snacks as nothing is open in the area. But the one time I needed their help with a flat tire, they said that if I didn’t have a gas receipt for the same day, that they could not turn on the gas compressor and that I would have to pay for air. I even took out a gas receipt from the day before where I spent $ 40.00 on gas and she said that if it wasn’t dated today that she couldn’t help me. The attendant told me to complain to management. «I JUST BOUGHT GAS YESTERDAY!» As far as I’m concerned, this Shell station has just lost my average $ 200.00+ business a month.

Cheapest gas I’ve seen in this area. Right next to a target so that’s a plus. It’s on the corner so if you’re going in the opposite direction of traffic, it’s complicated to get to. They also give you Ralph’s rewards for 10 cents off each gallon. Though I must say, the screens are a little slow on the prompts for payment, receipt, car wash, etc.

This gas station should probably get it together. 50 percent of the time I make an attempt to fill up my tank here, all their pumps are out of service. What is the deal with that? Also, can they figure out a better method of letting people know the pumps are down? Waiting for me to get out of my car and start trying to pump gas while one person quietly tries to tell everyone attempting to pump gas the pumps are down isn’t the best method! Come on, Shell. This location is so convenient for me. Get it together!

I was shopping at Target and thought why not just take the car through the car wash at the Shell. The young man has been bugging me about bird shit that’s near the handle of the back seats and he freaks out each time he has to get in the car reminding me to take the car to the car wash.
I vaguely remembered reading Florance’s review about having the right change so I made sure I had it. For some reason I thought it was only $ 3 for the wash (I guess I read the $ 3.50 Florance had wasted and that amount popped in my head), but turned out it was $ 5. In any case, I was already in line so what the hell.
The machine takes dollar bills too. I used a $ 5 note and it worked. It only takes $ 1s and $ 5s and coins.
I would have to say, the car wash was super clean. It also dried my car off rather well too… far better than the hand wash one over on Sand Canyon and I-​5 at the 76 station. This blow dry air instead of towel drying doesn’t leave lint all over you car.
I was skeptical at first, but I actually thought this place cleaned my car better than 76 and it was 2 bucks cheaper and you don’t have to tip the guys who hand wash AND hand dry your car. I just saved 5 bucks by bringing my car here.
