Sure Save Self Storage

Unfortunately, this storage facility has recently gone through a change in ownership and management. The guy that works the front desk is rude and does not know how to provide good customer service.
I have been at this location for many years and on occasion I have asked to dispose of boxes in the recycling bin. I was told they no longer have one. I checked, they still have it. I would have preferred to be told no, sorry you can’t use it anymore. There are plenty of other places to rent.

Called me on the day of my reservation and told us we could only have the truck for 4 hours when we had reserved it for 24 hours. Returned the truck with 11 miles on the odometer and they said I had to put gas in it. Drove to gas station and bought one gallon of gas. People who work here are nasty and mean. Avoid at all costs.

This is the storage facility my company uses to store extra equipment, and OEM boxes for shipment.
It’s really hard to write an exciting review about self storage. I mean, think about it; It’s hard to be witty and eloquent when writing about a place who’s sole purpose is for you to put your extra crap in a secure place, and charge you a premium for it.
I mean sure, this place has 12 hour access day after day after day. Sure, it’s multi level, has free handtrucks for people to use, and offers pin based access both to the elevators and the gates that let you drive INTO the meaty part of the facility. But That’s about it? Sure, the A/C’d interior of the building is nice and bright, the halls giving you just enough quarter to squeak by. But that’s it. It’s like vanilla ice cream; everyone in the western world knows what to expect of it, and it’s really hard to give it any sort of pizazz, y’know? Normally, you give Vanilla Ice Cream some accouterments — chopped nuts, chocolate syrup, a maraschino cherry, a chocolate dipped cone, additional scoops of other flavors… Here, the only accouterments — Pensky Truck rental (almost every other self storage offers some sort of truck rental) and cardboard/​packing boxes for sale are so common. They’re not additions. They’re like little pecks of vanilla in the ice cream. You half expect them in there anyway!
So there you go, Sure Save is like Vanilla. Bland, no frills, cheap for what it is, same thing you can find everywhere else, just about. Nothing bad, but nothing really spectacular.
