Swim Venture

ok… I’m going to leave a review as a previous employee of Todd Sousa and his company. He was always «really nice» and always wanted to go do things outside of work as a group with the employees (kayak in the ocean/​picnic/​bonfire). They always sounded fun but I was never comfortable with him enough to go to these events. That being said, I quit working for this company when it seemed that he cared more about making money than he did about the progression of the students. I cared more about teaching the children to swim and have since began teaching lessons on my own, privately.
Now– to review the program and not the person… his progression of teaching is VERY effective and it is what I use to teach my own lessons to this day. (can’t believe I began teaching for him 10 years ago now!!) It’s honestly a great program and HE is no longer teaching lessons bc of his arrest, but his wife/​ex-​wife was co-​owner of the company and she was great. I hope that she is still involved in it (or, really… i hope she gets to be sole-​owner in the wake of this divorce/​arrest). I do recommend this swim lesson program as long as Todd is no longer linked to the company. :)

Todd taught our toddlers how to swim a few years ago. He was a good instructor, and I observed him with his daughter after our swim lesson. She was a strong little swimmer. There was no hint of impropriety towards his own child, or ours.
We took lessons with Swim Venture for approx half a year. I now have another toddler, and we probably would have hired him again if not for the arrest.

Would be great to give this place a review on parent and me lessons, which I’ve been trying to set up for weeks. Unfortunately I cannot, as no one ever answers the phone, and thats the only way to make an appointment.
i realize this place in not for profit, but they act like they don’t want any business at all. The customer service hours are listed on their site, but they might as well not list them at all.
