At The Bumper Guy, we specialize in the repair, replacement and reconditioning of bumpers for all makes of cars and trucks. In many cases, we can repair cracked, dented or broken bumpers without the need to replace them .In addition, we work with most insurance companies if necessary. We offer fast turnaround time without compromising quality. We use the finest PPG and 3M paint materials which is backed by a lifetime warranty as long as you own you vehicle.

At The Bumper Guy, we repair most European, Japaneses and American cars such as Ford, Chevy, GM, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Audi, Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Acura, Infinite, Mazda and many others.

History

Established in 1994.

The Bumper Guy originated in South Africa in 1994 under the name «Touch N Go». When the owner, Daryl, immigrated to the USA in 1998, the business of doing small mobile bumper repairs continued under that name. In 2002, the name was changed to «The Bumper Guy», and was operating as a small mobile bumper repair business. In 2006, «The Bumper Guy» moved to its first location in Irvine. The shop was 1500 sq ft. In 2008 the shop was relocated to its current 3500 sq ft facility, also in Irvine. The name was changed to «OC Bumper And Body». The name change was largely due to the increasing demand to carry out full collision repairs. Later on, a further 1500 sq ft was added to the facility. This was necessary to accommodate the increasing demand for collision repair. At the end of 2011, an additional 1800 sq ft was obtained to rejuvenate «The Bumper Guy» due to the increase in demand for quality, affordable bumper repairs to all makes of cars and trucks

A friends car was pulling out and hit my front left side scratching the headlight and the corner of the bumper. It was small but because the stain wouldn’t leave without all kinds of removing agents, I brought it in for estimate to these guys. I was there for another car appointment (its a plaza full of car repair shops) but because I was early I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask for estimate…
I was given all options including pricing and referral contact information for jobs they wouldn’t do because of foreseeable, less than perfect result. I said I was going to think about it because it was out of the price range I was thinking and was trying to avoid going thru the headache of using insurance as this was a second incident in short time not to mention it was a friend who did the damage…
The guy told me to pull in and he’ll see what he can do. He tried buffering. Not perfect, but left without the eyesore of black smudge on my headlight and he did all as a service…
Highly recommend for honesty, professionalism, and from the looks of the center, I know they will do a good job! Will definitely return or spread the word of their service!!!

All I could say is The Bumper Guy is one of the most honest establishments I’ve dealt with! He even referred me to another shop based off my situation. What business now a days refers you to another shop that might better suit your situation.

I took my car here based upon the reviews. I am so glad I did. They did an amazing job on the bumper. Went above and beyond with customer service. Even made sure I had a ride home and offered to stay a little late if I needed them to so I could pick up my car. I didn’t make it that night then they apologized for not putting inside for the night. That was the least of my worries. I believe they know my car better than the Toyota dealer. They showed me a problem that the Sienna’s are known for with the passenger/​driver door. They showed me how they could fix it but more importantly how to prevent it so it doesn’t happen to me. Also I was only without my car for 48 hours, amazing!

We had just bought a 2001 Echo that had a damaged front bumper and a side panel that wasn’t flush.
I went to Bumper Guy, based on reviews on Unilocal,to get an estimate. They were able
to fix the side panel and heat, then push out the bumper and send me on my way in less than 30 minutes.
THIS PLACE WAS JUST AWESOME!

Have you ever had a complete stranger send you your lost wallet with cash/​cards/​memory laden receipts in tact? These random acts of kindness makes you feel like there is good in this world and there are genuinely awesome people who just want to do the right thing. If you have never had a stranger be do something as nice as that, well, you should come to THE BUMPER GUY.
My front bumper had been hanging on to dear life and I Unilocaled a couple places in the irvine area for a place to get it checked out. I came across OC bumper & body and they were nothing but kind and responsive to my concerns.
I brought it in today finally and was expecting nice service considering all the rave reviews on Unilocal.ummm… nice service? how about amazing service? how about, these guys are just way too awesome, kind of service?!
They went over the concerns with my car bumper and what needed to be done as well as an estimate for how much everything would cost. They actually took the time to help readjust and snap my bumper in place for FREE! (just until i had the time and means to get it fixed completely.)
Seriously, if you want to go anywhere to get your auto body work done and know that there are kind genuine people out there– just wanting to help you out and do an HONEST good job at it… go the guys at the bumper guy!

I would highly recommend this place to get your car fixed. I got rear ended and they replaced my bumper and spare tire cover. They made sure that I got new replacements.
They have 5-​star service. I needed to get a rental car while my car was in the shop, and they gave me a heads up that they had previously had some complications with Enterprise. They suggested I call the rental company to confirm just in case. It turns out that the reservation had not gone to the correct location so it was good I called. They also kept in the loop, making sure to call me to let me know what was going on and when I could expect to pick up my car. The day they finished I couldn’t pick up my car until after they closed. They close at 6 and the owner of the shop, Darryl, offered to stay until I could pick up the car at 6:45. He is big on customer service and was very helpful with explaining things and making sure I was satisfied.

Wow. Just when I was questioning if there were still honest and generous people in the car service industry, I was struck with the fortune of finding The Bumper Guy.
Two days previous I had hit a curb with my 1996 Mercedes Benz. I didn’t think I hit it that hard but apparently I bent a steel rod behind the bumper. Consequently, the bumper was shoved into the right front tire. Every time I turned right, the HORRIBLE sound of the bumper rubbing against my tire was awful.
Being a busy week, I was going to take care of it later in the week. However, I was at the Irvine Center (going to the gym) and happen to notice a sign for The Bumper Guy. I decided to turn in.
I was greeted by Brandon, who I found out was the son of the owner. With a very charming South African accent, he came out to take a look at the damage. I was expecting an estimate, but Brandon offered to fix the problem gratis!
It took about 10 minutes for him and his father to fix the problem and they did it very professionally and as thorough as any paying customer.
When they finished they refused any sort of payment or tip. They were so kind and REALLY helped me out in a big way. Definitely, going to pass the word on for these guys, a real class act!
