Fabulous service, great owner, terrific team! We’ve moved from CA to IL. We could not have asked for better service. The pack up team was amazing. I’ve never seen men work so hard for so long in my life.
The move to IL went well. They arrived and allowed me to check the boxes as some needed to be taken to where we are staying. The team at arrival was great — kind, hard working, and easy to get along with. They even allowed up to buy some of the blankets that some of items were packed in — at a very reasonable price.
I highly recommend this company. They are professional, pricing is very competitive and the staff on both sides of the move were accommodating, hard working and reliable.

5 stars all the way! We moved from VA to CA and Moving Depot stored our stuff for 6 months, then moved it when we found a new house in Laguna Niguel. They were totally accommodating when I changed the move date due to escrow closing earlier than expected and definitely went out of their way to get a 5 man crew to be available! Each of the 5 guys worked hard for hours and hours. I’ve had sketchy crews in the past with different companies, and each of these men were personable, friendly and courteous. It seems Moving Depot is able to find and keep excellent employees. I would hire them again in an instant and will definitely refer them to friends. Thanks for an excellent experience!

Moving Depot has moved me «several» times and I have never had anything but A++ experiences. I have moved everything from precious stemware, antiques, and very expensive furniture and it has ALWAYS been delivered to me in EXCELLENT condition. I have also referred Moving Depot to many friends and just like me they would never consider using another moving company.
To be extremely honest with you, I would rather change my move date then have anyone else move me. I also love the storage units at their facility. This way I know no vermin will be eating my furniture. I once had them store a gorgeous and expensive couch for over a year and it came back to me in perfect condition.
Thank God I found this company! As often as we have moved in the last few years and maybe moving again across country I would only be comfortable with their company.

Horrible, HORRIBLE company, spare the few extra dollars and get yourself a company worth the service! We have been given the round about for almost 2 weeks now. You get zero communication and the most unprofessional service you can find. Horrible customer service and zero communication are the worst qualities for ANY business, especially one where you are dealing with people’s personal property.

We used Moving Depot initially thinking we were moving from LA to Austin (plans changed). Kept our stuff in storage for nearly a year then decided to move some stuff to desert house and some stuff to LA condo. Very complex transaction (2 moves, storage etc). I have to give kudos to the Moving Depot team; everyone from the owner to the moving staff/​drivers were all very professional in dealing with me and my husband.
I am baffled that the most delicate items were in perfect shape after 2 moves. I realize that this isn’t always the case and I was expecting to find some damaged items. Nothing damaged (that I have found/​unpacked yet).
Funny how we are so attached to our «stuff»; means so much to me to have it all back (and like christmas opening all the boxes and finding old treasures again). Thank you Moving Depot; you all are caring and kind professionals.

Update: It’s been weeks. Never heard back. No explanation given, no response to latest contact attempts. I’m assuming theft at this point. Extra ironic when i remember how one of their minions tried to sell how professional and Christian their service was versus their nameless competitors who allegedly only hire hooligans.
Like Catherine M., I, too, was over-​billed, by $ 800 to be exact, without explanation, or authorization. So in total, my credit card was charged $ 1500 for them to move my 1 bedroom apt a block away. Not cool.
I’m currently seeing if they will make it right, and will update this review accordingly, but I first notified Tom Loucks, one of the co-​founders, about this issue 4 business days ago. I’ve been told that the «office girl» is out sick, but I’m not really sure why my issue hinges on her presence. Can’t anyone walk over to the records and see what’s going on?
Other than that, I was fairly satisfied with the service, but if this turns out to be repeat fraudulent behavior, personally, I don’t think it will be too hard to warn away over $ 800 worth of potential customers with the power of Unilocal and the internet.

I having been holding back reviewing these guys until everything is unpacked but today I can wait no longer! Do not get fooled by Riches «nice guy» routine. We hired these guys because of a personal referral and it was the WORST mistake EVER. Rich got everything wrong to the size of the moving van to the number of blankets to the length of time. He showed up and spent the entire time on the phone claiming tax problems, over billed me then did a bait and switch and had me write the check to one of him movers. We didn’t figure out till later that this eliminated any insurance. These guys are the worst, smashed boxes marked fragile, missing furniture parts, scratched wood everywhere.
Please save yourself a lot of time and anger and hire someone else. I have moved over 10 times, across country, international, long term, short term — we even had a driver get arrested and our stuff impounded and all of that was better then these guys

This place is spotless, extremely well maintained and the management team takes personal interest in all their clients.
