Walnut Village Center

Although this plaza is lacking in fast food places to eat at (I think the Sushi Boy here shut down but it’s still labeled as an Ingress portal), there are a lot of places to shop at here like Trader Joe’s. The majority of the food here is expensive food like the bakery here, Burntzilla, Curry House, and Scoops n Scoops. (It could sure use a less expensive place to eat inside.)
Getting out of this plaza is a little bit hard due to it being next to the freeway exit, unless one wants to drive into the residential area on Walnut. Parking here can be bad as well, and they mostly have 1-​hour parking locations. Parking in front of what used to be Sushi Boy results in everyone driving around that area when you want to leave, so it’s kind of hard to get in and out. Walking around in the plaza is fine, though, since there aren’t a lot of places to visit across the parking lot.

I frequent this shopping center often, since Trader Joe’s is here. There is also a Starbucks here and a really good french bakery with great pastries.
Parking can be a little bit of a bother, but it’s not that bad. One thing that is a problem is the height of the shrubbery, it causes a lot of eye view blockage and has the potential to cause accidents if you’re not extra careful and a lot of drivers in this shopping center are not!

I have 2 main reasons for visiting this plaza:
1) Trader Joe’s
2) Starbucks
Trader Joe’s is the only one within the area. I think the next closest is across the street from UCI (University Town Center) and in Tustin (off Newport and Irvine).
There are a plethora of other stores here, including: Subway, Sushi Boy, Smart n’ Final, Curry House, Golden Spoon, Bank of the West, and more.
What I hate the most about this plaza is the parking. All aisles of parking are directional and it can get crowded easily here. If the parking were easier/​better, it might get 4-​stars.
