This will be my second year of wearing glasses and purchasing from this location the first year I purchased Ray Sunglasses with warranty and metal frame eye glasses got the exam for free I went back to this place because my metal frames that I didn’t have a warranty they were giving me a problem breaking so I wanted new glasses I told her I’m done with metal frames the person who I talked to was Esmerelda who told me to pick 2 glasses out so I did then we sat down she didn’t offer me anything i looked down and saw this sheet of prices and the never glare and asked her about it she said I would pay money to get it it’s worth it so I decided to get it I paid $ 138 she told me it will take 7 – 12 days well this is the week they called me when they came in I was so happy because I have been driving around at night wearing my Ray Bans I receive the glasses I tried them on there I told the girl it looks funny she says like a fish bowl I said yea she said you have to get use the them so I drive at night with my sister I can’t read any street signs from far away started getting a headache and my sister says that’s not good the next morning 9ish they open at 9am the time they open I called on the phone on my way there about my situation she said I could come in and get the exam eye exam done I got there at 9ish didn’t get out until 11am the doc was late but he did my exam even paid $ 15 to test for any diabetes or health issue of the eye he was nice And I did need a new prescription so I went to a different girl her name was Cindy gave her the pair of glasses I paid for she said she can get my lenses changed to the new prescription I was happy then I get a call the next day around 6pm from Cindy saying that my manager says we can’t change your prescription to the new cause it’s been a year already but I’m buying two pairs of glasses ain’t that a new year. Cindy looks at the glasses and says they look new of course it hadn’t been a year so she said that I could buy another two pair of glasses so that would mean another $ 138 that’s $ 272 I am not happy right now I didn’t purchase anything else and kept the bad pair that I couldnt wear and contacted Americas Best headquarters had to leave a VM to see if I can get something done because I can’t even use these glasses I purchased they give me headaches and I can’t see. First thing today at 9am I will talk to someone it sucks because I like this place I even purchased my sons glasses from here I don’t have money like that so this makes me very disappointed how they took my money and I’m not happy and can’t use the glasses I have my new eye exam prescriptions so if I can’t get it from this place I would like to know where I can take my prescription but use these frames at least I can still use the frames but sucks… I CALLEDCORPORATE1−800−411−1162THEYRESOLVEDTHEISSUETHEYSAIDTHAT I HAVE30DAYSFROMTHE DAY I RECEIVEDTHEMSOKEEPTHATINMINDADTERPURCHASING I THOUGHTSOBUTWASNTFORSUREREGARDLESS I WILLCONTINUETOCOMEHEREBUTANYISSUESCOMEUP I SUREWILLHAVETHISNUMBEREDSTOREDINMYPHONE. Marissa was great and very friendly!!! Cindy not so much. She can’t give me a reason why the difference in dollar amount. So as I’m sitting here typing this review she’s in back trying to figure out why the $ 267.00 difference. Finally she comes back with another lady after 7 minutes and they explained it to me. Sum it up they give different reason why you need this and need that so that the dollar amount continues to change. 2 pair of $ 69. Exam was $ 45. Frames turned into $ 441.00 Total after all their«recommendations». Nope, no thanks I went to Vision works and got a pair of glasses and shades with the works(everything they recommended on BOTH pair) for $ 340 including insurance :) and got one pair within 2 hours! Next day, thanks to Lisa for contacting me and apologizing for the way things were handled in the store yesterday. Unfortunately I have already purchased some glasses. Hopefully this will be a learning experience for the staff.
