Colonial Reserve at Las Colinas

I do not live here. I was considering living here.
I called to inquire about availability and unfortunately Chuck took my call. He seemed bothered by my phone call from the minute he answered. Despite the initially off putting phone experience, I decided to still go in and take a look.
I nice young lady (Justice) greeted me when I walked in and she let me know that she was heading to show a unit to another potential tenant at the moment, but that Chuck or someone would be out to help me shortly.
Another man, not Chuck, walked by and says «what’s up» to me. Apparently he worked there and that was his way of asking me «how can I help you.» To which I replied that I was waiting to be shown a unit. He then informed me that his wife was on her way to pick him up so I would have to wait for Chuck. *insert eye roll*
Chuck finally came out from hiding and just as he did on the phone, he seemed too busy/​distracted/​bothered to show me any units. Just his luck, Justice was returning from showing a unit, so he asked her to take me to see the unit.
Justice was wonderful. The unit was nice– although not my personal taste. Justice even followed up with a phone call the next day.
Honestly– the unit wasn’t bad, but if that’s how the staff (Chuck and nameless other guy) treats you when they are trying to gain your business, I’d hate to see how they treat you once you’re locked into a contract.
The only reason I gave more than one star was for Justice and the unit being decent. Not a bad location either, but customer service needs improvement.

The place is great and not crowded. The staff are very helpful and we got cable & Internet fast. Highly recommend. Thank you to Justiss and staff for making the process so easy.

Been here a year and can’t wait to move out. Have had multiple problems with my ac unit (both the summer I moved in and this current summer) instead of replacing it they just keep ordering parts for it which is a short term fix.
Hallways/​parking garage isn’t really kept clean.
Leasing office employees … Can be hit or miss.
Overall wouldn’t recommend.

I’ve lived here almost a year. Beautiful nap arguments yet extremely pricey. The management staff have no customer service skills. They walk around like they have a stick up their butts. Things started starting breaking and the walls are somewhat thin. I have a non traditional work shift and sleep during the day and it’s so loud. The entire week this week they are having the fire alarm worked on and ever 10 mins the entire apartment sirens are going off. Imagine working a 13 hour shift three day straight and coming home to alarms. I am counting down until I move out

I left my email and forwarding address at move out. I few weeks later I received a bill for someone else. The assistant manager, Chuck, sent me someone else’s bill, with their name, address, and phone number. I called the office to inquire about it. Nobody answered so I left a voicemail. After no response for several days, I assumed they got my message and were sending me a correct bill.
I never received a call back or corrected bill. I forgot about it after several weeks. About a month and a half after move out, I finally received a call from Chuck saying my account was being sent to a collections agency. I told him about the incorrect bill, and even re-​sent back to him the other person’s bill that he sent me. He agreed to send me the correct bill, for the first time, but said he needed payment in the office by the end of the week or I would face collections regardless. I am out of town for work a few days a week so this is a bit of a challenge.
I rushed to comply with his demands so as to not ruin my credit. It is unfortunate that Chuck puts the burden on the residents to rush to figure out the correct bill they owe. I ended up owing $ 120 at move out, much different than someone else’s $ 900 bill I was sent.

I got to meet a few friends to go running and we got to go to no my friends loft apartment to take a little glimpse. This apartment is adorable! It seemed really NYC loft style and I loved it. If I ever move out and get an apartment this would be a place I would want to live at.
It seemed really protected too because the gates to go into the garage are huge, so no one can even climb in or anything. In order to go to the area where we were going to run we passed the gym and it looked like they had some nice and up to date equipment! They also have a nice patio area which I suggested some girls get together to have wine and chit chat! Beautiful area!
You can also walk to a running area that’s right next to the canal. So perfect!

When I first moved into this place I loved it. It was aesthetically the best apartment I had seen despite the fact that when we first moved in the refridgerator did not work and we were told not to turn on the master bedroom light switch or the breaker would trip. That was over looked and I moved on, AFTER it was fixed. Then one day I walked outside and stepped right in dog poop right in the middle of the side walk. There is dog poop all over this property. Once again I was not very affected much by this nasty but small trait. Then a few weeks ago someone moved into the apartment above us and that was when we discovered that the walls/​floors are thin. Someone playing on a pogo stick at 3am after you get off of a 16 hour shift is the worst thing to come «home» to. So of course we go to the leasing office and I got talked to like I was an idiot and it was me that was the problem. I CAN NOT wait until this lease is up. If you like sleep DON’T move in here. If you like dog poop DO move in here.
