Comfort Inn DFW Airport North

When I check into a hotel I have certain expectations — the more expensive the higher the expectations. At $ 76.00 a night this place met almost all my expectations– it is a deal and I recommend. I expected a nice comfortable bed– got it– very comfortable plenty of soft pillows down comforter was very comfortable. I expected a clean room– got it– no unusual odors smelled fresh carpet was comfortable. I expected certain amenities like flat screen tv, work desk, iron, microwave and fridge– got them. I expected clean shower a d fluffy towels– got them! I expected quiet– for the most part this was ok– but my room faced a very busy street– semi trucks all night– recommend getting a room with an even number– they face the much quieter parking lot. I expected a quick check in– got it– the front desk staff very friendly and efficient. Finally I expect a prompt shuttle– did not get it. Took 45 minutes when I was quoted 15 and is only two miles away. When asked why it took so long was told he was swamped with check ins at the front desk — huh?! But overall a great stay and I will return!

We’ve recently discovered this park, sleep, fly thing, and it’s awesome!
For less than you can park your car for the week at the airport and shuttle to your terminal, you can make the drive to the airport area, sleep there, and catch an early flight without having to wake up absurdly early and drive to the airport. Then you leave your car at the hotel and when you get back, they will come pick you up and bring you back to your car. We’ve done it once now from Love Field and once from DFW… great option!
The room was clean and comfortable. It had a small fridge, which worked for us because there is no restaurant nor is there anything nearby, really.

Aside from after reading these reviews I stay here about 10 days every month for the past few months. no one is snorting cocaine and no fire alarms have gone off and I park my car here and leave it for days at a time and never have I incurred or been made aware of any parking fees. The hotel is clean and recently renovated, the management here is very friendly and on top of ensuring everyone has a comfortable stay. And it shows because the front line employees are friendly and seem happy, they’re also very helpful. The shuttle is free and runs 24 hours every 30 minutes. The drivers are good and drive safe, there is a free breakfast every morning and they just started this new «happy hour» every Tuesday and Wednesday evening where there is free dinner served with complimentary wine and beer. The room service staff does a great job and are friendly as well. It’s a great hotels, easy access to the airport and is in a safe area. Lots of places deliver here there is also a whataburger/​gas station combo within walking distance open 24 hours!

The hotel was fine, clean and available with a decent breakfast. All you really need when you are staying near the airport but Artis E at the check in was absolutely snorting cocaine as we walked in…

Nothing bad to say about this hotel. They allowed us to check in early, the hotel décor is colorful and modern, room is clean, bed is comfortable.
The only thing I wish they had was free WiFi, but other than that we are happy!

WARNING TO MY Unilocal FRIENDS: If you are looking for a DFW hotel where you can park your car for the duration of your trip and use their free airport shuttle, beware! I priced this hotel at $ 99 a night through Priceline. Sounded like a great deal compared to the area Hilton properties which were in the $ 140 range — that is until I called to double check their services. YES THE AIRPORT SHUTTLE IS FREE BUT THEY CHARGE $ 5 PER NIGHT FOR EACH NIGHT YOUR CAR IS PARKED THERE. Since we were to be away for a week, the Hilton properties were competitive since they have both free shuttle AND FREE PARKING.
When a hotel advertises free shuttle service, be sure there is no added charge for parking your car there while you are away.

Have you ever been woken up from your peaceful slumber by the LOUDEST NOISE EVER? I can say I have – twice. I’m glad I already have heart medication on hand because I definitely needed it after being startled awake by the Comfort Inn’s fire alarms.
My sister and I stayed here while in town for a dance competition just down the road. We were genuinely impressed with the room, which featured a mini fridge and comfortable appointments. Friday night, our stay went without a hitch, although there’s a dearth of restaurants that will deliver to this location. Saturday night, we settled in for another comfortable evening, but that wasn’t meant to be.
BLAAAAP! BLAAAAP! BLAAAAP!
I stood straight up in bed, my heart fluttering wildly in my chest. I’ve never heard a sound as loud as this one, ostensibly to wake even the heaviest sleeper, as well as a strobe light that pierced straight through my closed eyelids. I glanced at the time. 3am. Well, if I’m gonna die sometime, it’s not going to be in a fire at the Comfort Inn. Sis and I bundled up as well as we could and made our way to the lobby, where the fire department was waiting for us. They checked the building, and it was declared safe.
This would’ve been okay, because false alarms happen. But then it went off again at 6am, thanks to an employee incorrectly resetting the system. And intermittently all the way ’til 8am. By 6 I had given up and slogged my computer into the breakfast area. My sister tried to fight the good fight until she, too, finally surrendered to the BLAAAAP monster. (Sidebar: when others emerged for breakfast, they started talking about the fire department being there, and some responded with «Oh, that’s what that was?» Honestly, if you don’t even have the wherewithal to stick your damn neck out of your hotel room to make sure it isn’t ablaze, I hope someday you are burnt to a crisp thanks to your lack of curiosity.)
I brought it up with the clerk, but since I’d prepaid, she said there wasn’t anything I could do, but I could email the manager. I decided it wasn’t worth it and I’m staying at the LaQuinta next week instead for another dance competition in the area. Like I said – the premises were fairly nice, especially for the price point, and the continental breakfast was a nice touch. I just wish I’d been able to get a full night’s sleep and not feel like I was going to kill my passengers when I started nodding off on the drive home to Houston.

no problems here for me except for the small cockroach that surprised me during a middle of the night toilet run. but im no roach pansy, 4 stars anyways (4 stars means ill come back). i let that little guy live by the way, so hopefully he doesnt be a bad boy and scare someone else in the middle of the night =D
this place was the cheapest i could find during my travels. doesnt look run down or old like other places ive stayed at. very easy to get to and back to the airport with the shuttle they provide (need to ring them up for them to send it out). if you are coming in late night, there arent many restaurants around. only a whataburger and convenience store just down the street in the shell gas station. you can order delivery but those are like at least $ 18+ for those restaurants to deliver. staff was friendly. continental breakfast had the usual plus eggs and sausages.

Basically this is a nicer version of a dorm room. Nice staff and reasonable rates. Perfectly average. Kinda what I expected.

Pros: Close to DFW, pleasant staff
Cons: Ventilation in the hallways — hot, stale and smoky
It’s a little better than a cheap apartment. But I’ve stayed in nicer military housing.
Try La Quinta next door.

First of all, I’ll admit that my company is cheap… frugal…however you want to put it. So, I didn’t have a lot of options in finding a hotel room under $ 100. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating and they did provide a really good rate for the group.
And I as pointed out to my boss when searching hotels… you get what you pay for. And our out of town guests got exactly that.
I walked the hallway on the third floor and the stench of stale cigarette smoke was overwhelming. The hotel room itself was decent and at least it didn’t reek of smoke. But the air conditioner unit was so loud and the bed didn’t look all that comfy and inviting.
Luckily our guests were only here for 2 nights but I will have to research other hotels in the area and convince my boss to pay a little more per night. I doubt any of our guests would stay here again.
