Absolutely the worst car dealer I have ever experienced! My car has 6000 miles on it. The tire“s sidewall failed and they say they do not warranty it. Michelin said that the tire is rated for 50 000 miles and good dealers should enforce warranty. The staff talked down to me and did not think. Would call manufacturer. Manufacturer said the dealer lied and asked me to take tire to different (non –Acura) dealer.

I purchased a used vehicle from them. It was what you would expect from a used car transaction, although, after much negotiation including getting up and heading for the door, I did wind up getting a good deal. The finance office tried to put the pressure on to buy extras, more so than appropriate, in my opinion. All of this is fine and expected when dealing with used car salespeople. My complaint about them is that they did a couple of fixes, including the front brakes, in a half baked manner just to get the car running well enough to make it past their 30 day guarantee. This was confirmed later by a trusted mechanic. Nothing expensive or extensive, but it speaks to how they do business. I wouldn’t buy from them again and I certainly would not service my vehicle there.

I use Ali Ramirez Pensado in service. I bought my Honda Odyssey at a different dealership, but I come back to Ali because I trust him and he gives me great service and keeps me aware of all the special pricing on various services and coupons available. My first Honda mini van I had for over 250,000 miles and it was still running when I decided to upgrade. That’s because I come back and get my car regularly serviced and I feel the service I get from McDavid Honda with Ali’s help is superior. I also like that all of my records are in their computer. Keep your fluids & filters clean and your care will last longer. In fact the last time i did a review of this service department was in 2012 just before getting my present vehicle. I’ve driven Fords, Mercedes’, Toyotas, Citoyen’s, Renaults and I swear by the Honda products.

DO NOT go to this place or give these people your phone number. They will call 3x a day until you buy a car from them. I have asked them to stop calling several times and they continue to call.
Update: after unsuccessfully requesting several times that they stop contacting me, I finally got their attention with this review. My one-​star review based on their harassing behavior finally got them to stop contacting me — of course, first, they had to contact me one more time to apologize for contacting me so much

Got a great deal on my Civic. I’m bought 3 cars over the last few years from David McDavid and I always am satisfied with my decision.

The service at this place is the worst. I bought a new 2015 Honda Fit fully loaded top of the line. Within the first 1000 miles, the screws in the spill guard came loose. I took it to the shop since I bought the extended warranty and I was told they would not cover it, because I had hit something in the road and the spill guard was hit. There are no other scratches or dents on the car, so that would be impossible. Honda wanted to charge me $ 500 to fix the problem.
I then made an appointment to take my vehicle into the shop for my first oil change at 5,000 miles. I made my appointment at 9 am on Saturday. I was on time and arrived at 9 am. I was then told it was going to be a 2 hour wait. I told them I made an appointment at 9 am, so what is the point of making an appointment. The service manager then told me the system is broken, and they are about to do away with online appointment system. Really? You blow up my e-​mail asking me to schedule my appointment ahead of time, so I do, and I still have to wait for 2 hours?
This is my first experience with Honda, and I promise you I will never buy another one. Please stay as far away from this dealership as you can.

My tire light came on and took in this last Saturday, the guy who took care of my was very welcoming and polite, took care of everything in a timely manner. Open my door and made me feel like I was VIP, much appreciated. Thank you Honda.

Leased a vehicle from this dealership in June 2012, during a «hail sale». Was told, several times, by our rep (Terry Barden) that I would not be liable for the hail damage upon return of the vehicle.
Fast forward 3 years later — of course, now Honda Financial is asking me for over $ 1,000 in hail damage to the vehicle.
In working with the dealership to attempt to resolve this, their GM (Richard Schindler) has been unwilling to help and unable to provide any documentation that the vehicle was damaged on their lot.
All this to say — avoid doing business with David McDavid Honda of Irving or any of its affiliates. I was lied to, duped and abandoned by David McDavid. Their representatives and management used deception to move damaged inventory, putting their problem on me.
Negotiation is not only about what is signed, but what is said — and this dealership lied to my face, more than once.
Again — avoid this dealership at all costs. Having purchased/​leased more than a few vehicles now — there are better, more upstanding and honest dealerships to do business with. This is not one of them.

Great until they have your money.
I purchased a brand new Honda Fit, and sales and more went smoothly and some of the best service I have ever received. Two thousand miles later, the Firestone tires on my new car decide to rear their ugly defective head.
I call them, and they said their service dept. was open until 7 on Saturday. Get there are 6:30, to find service front doors were closed. I walk inside and down into service dept to see if anyone was there and found it empty. Strangely nobody even stopped me from walking around in there much less said nobody was there as I passed a dozen sales people. (ps had I been there to go through your stuff I could have and nobody wouldve cared as it was empty and unlocked!).
Afterwards, I go back into sales and try to ask someone when they’re open. The guy saw me, ignored me, and walked away to go sell. Other salesmen saw me looking around and I finally had to approach one in his office to get any help. All he would say it «service is closed, come back tomorrow» and after about five minutes of bickering while he sipped his drink and made it clear I was bothering him I finally got him to show the times. At one point I even had to say «do I need to sell back my car and go elsewhere to get an answer here?» he just shrugged and sipped his drink. Seriously this is how little they give a crap.
I go back the following morning at 11 to service as he told me and their website shows. Nobody is there. Four costumers other than me were also there waiting. We sat there a good half an hour, then called up to the front desk of David McDavid. Despite what their sales and site say, the phone line says Service is closed Sundays. After this, everyone there angrily drove off.
I will not be buying further cars here and having done sales myself in the past, really surprised even basic customer service vanished once the keys were in my hand. I’m going to do what I can to retake my Honda survey and give them the appropriate score.

I have purchased 3 cars in my entire life and this was by far the most depressing process. Ladies do not go in alone. They sales staff nor the sales management want to listen to what you have to say or what your needs may be. They just want to push you into a car.
The sales man themselves are so worried about the surveys and sales that they can’t focus on what you are asking them OR telling them. I was telling my guy the whole time that I was going to buy I just needed to go home and look at my budget. Then he took the sticker price off the car when he pulled it up so I never saw it. HUGE MISTAKE FOR ME!!! When he brought out the first «deal» to look at it was $ 27,000. There was no way I was going to pay that. Now this was with my trade in which has a payoff of $ 10,000. (In 8 mo I had spent $ 8000 in repairs to this car and it was currently in the shop again for another $ 750). They were giving me $ 5000 and paying for the repairs on my car and leaving me with $ 5000 to roll over. They wanted to charge me $ 22 000 for the car. I said no.
Then the manager came out. I thought I was making a deal when I said $ 19 000 for the car and I will pay for the repairs. When I got home the sticker price was only $ 19 000. Then I get in the back and with the finance guy and in the end with GAP insurance, warrant and the maintenance package, which I was told I had to have, it back up to $ 27 000
I called the next day and asked for an explanation on the contract that I signed was told two lies. One that the gentleman that did my contract that was coming in later would call me. When I knew he would not be because he told me he was off that day and two. I called back when the guy didn’t call me back and asked to talk to someone else and asked if I could get my car back and keep this one. They said no the bank would not allow that.
I drove up there the next day and talked to my sales rep I explained to him that I really could not afford this car. I wanted my car back. He told me that was not possible for two reasons one. They had already sold my car. He went in to this elaborate explanation on how when he went get some stuff out that I forgot that he saw them getting it ready for someone else. He also explained that once you drive a car off the lot it is done there is nothing you can do you are stuck with the car.
I told him fine can someone at least explain to me what made it go from $ 19 000 to $ 27 000. One of the finance managers did come out and explain it and it does make since. I hope this guy was being honest in what he was explaining to me. So far I have had no reason to question it.
A few reason I am extremely bothered by this sale is that the sales man used the Aggie core values stating that that is what his GM said that they strive for in their staff and sales. If you don’t know them they are Excellence, Integrity, Leadership, Loyalty, Respect, and Selfless Service. If this is what they are striving for at David McDavid Honda New Sales. They have missed the spot.
I did go to the used David McDavid July 4 weekend. The sales staff and sales management team there were awesome. Guess what car they tried to sell me for 14 000.
I still have the new car.

After going to this dealership twice for two different deals, we will never be back. High pressure, bad service, and they don’t honor their word. Won’t discuss pricing unless we take a test drive, after they said to come in to see the deal he could offer. We discussed via email with the director of new car sales that we just wanted to see the price he would offer — a price that was somehow $ 3,000 lower than any other dealer in the area — and he said he would go over the details if we came in, instead we got hoops. The sales woman he passed us off to, who took our info, was somewhat belligerent. Will never come back, and will let our friends and family know what bad experiences we have had.

Ray at this location was excellent in assisting me at this location and even offered a complimentary car wash (which a lot of dealerships to not offer, but you have to ask). I will definitely be back!

I have a pretty specific set of requirements I’m looking for and sent an email out to several car dealerships to see if they had anything or could keep them in mind and let me know if something came in that matched.
I got plenty of generic responses that didn’t really address my question. What bothered me about the one I received from David McDavid Honda is that it told me, «I have several that will fit your needs» and then tried to get me in for an appointment without regard for what my needs actually were.
I checked their website and it did NOT have anything that met my needs, and they did not respond to my specific questions about what they had that they felt would meet my needs. It was completely impersonal and felt like their only goal was to get me in the door at any cost.
If I had actually come in and talked to them only to find out they had 0 cars that met my criteria, I would have been pretty angry.

too long; don’t want to read: Felix Ndingwan at David McDavid Honda of Irving made this a very positive experience, and I chose to purchase from him because he was up front and extraordinarily helpful.
Let me be straight with you: I hate buying cars. I’m the daughter of a car-​loving mechanic who always took care of everything auto for me in the past. I didn’t necessarily always get the car I wanted (despite promises that I would – still haven’t forgotten the Fiat Spyder I wanted to fix up when I was 16, Dad) but that was probably for the best. I didn’t have a clue and didn’t want to do the research.
Faced with buying a car without my father’s help (he’s just not that into it anymore), I faced what I can only hyperbolically call a nightmare. I didn’t know what I wanted – outside of the fact that I would prefer that it would be grey – not silver… but grey. Yeah, color was my one criteria. I read. I had long talks with a friend who had I knew was «good at» buying cars…(I’m not really sure why I put that in quotes. She is actually good at it but the quotes felt right. Awkward.) I read subreddits about personal finance, car sales, and pored over valuation charts.
I tried to educate myself. My line has always been that I’m good with computers and bad with cars. After all my research, I was still a neophyte. I at least decided that I was willing to purchase within a 200 mile radius, that I wanted a Honda Certified Preowned Honda Accord (again – good with computers, bad with cars so I needed some assurance of mechanical viability). I contacted many dealerships.
Now, because of work and a lack of ready mobility, the majority of my communication had to take place via email initially. Using the «contact by email» option on various dealership websites, I was generally met with people who emailed me to say that they wanted to contact me via phone because, as it turns out, the cake is a lie. I even had one guy who… and I’m not kidding… emailed me a video of him introducing himself to me. I was not really met with a strong grasp of the usefulness of electronic mail very often.
Thus, my narrowing began. I prefer working with people who understand that part of communication is listening – not just steamrolling me into the story of how things should be that they already created. I listened to so many people during my car-​purchasing journey. I listened to who they were, the information they were willing to provide, and how they comported themselves in business.
Thus, I purchased my car from Felix Ndingwan at David McDavid Honda of Irving. It was a conscious choice. I could have gone other routes, and it’s not like the dealership is particularly convenient to me – there are many that are closer or a calmer drive. He was informative. He was willing to talk to me about the variances in different models. He was willing to advocate for our sale, regularly check stock for my ideal car, and, in general, make this a very positive experience
So uh… I hate buying cars… but Felix and David McDavid of Irving Honda made this as painless as possible.

My plans were to get an oil change but didn’t expect the service I got. A guy named Andy helped me out and took care of me. On top of oil change, got complimentary tire rotation and used my Unilocal check-​in to get an exterior wash. I dropped my car off and came back with employees greeting me and assisting me as I check out. I will definitely come back to do future maintenances on my car possibly trade in. Awesome customer service.

I recently purchased a 2014 Honda Civic from David McDavid Honda for my daughter.
The purchase and financing was handled by email, phone and by FedEx, not once did I have to go to the dealer, I selected the vehicle online and purchased. My daughter should be picking up her new car today. Keep in mind that I live in California and the car was purchased and delivered in Texas. I would recommend that you contact Christian Cortinas my sales rep from the dealer.

The lady, Natalie, who set me up with my car as well as my mom’s new car was very efficient and personable. She filled me in on all the great features of the two cars I was interested in and helped choose the best one and especially helped me get the very best deal. I felt cared for and respected and not treated as «just another sale» as most people see car salesmen. Greg, the finance guy was also wonderful in making sure I was getting the best deal for me and my future with my new Honda. It was an enjoyable and fairly easy process going through the paperwork and that was all due to Natalie and Greg. I highly recommend going to this dealership and specifically asking for them.

I bought my Accord from David McDavid Irving in 2010 and have loved every minute of my car. Recently, I noticed a problem with my electrical system where the gear «D» would blink instead of remaining solid and other lights would come on and off. Long story short, I took it in 3 different times and they work very hard on identifying the problem. it took a month to diagnose, and while we were waiting, Lance, my advisor was phenomenal! He is a newer hire, but his professionalism, customer engagement was beyond any standards I’ve seen. He called me every day, was very patient and kept me updated on all the test that were being ran.
When the techs identified the issue, I was afraid I was going to pay out of pocket around $ 3000, but with the great team of managers and technicians, they decided to help take care of the bill. They claim its for me being a loyal customer, which I have been since 2010.
David McDavid does exceed customer service far beyond anything I’ve seen.
Shout-​out to Lance and Hall in the Express Service and Buddy and his team in the Service department for working as hard as possible and treating me so well.
I will definitely buy my next vehicle with David McDavid for many years to come.

I’ve brought my Honda in here for service for years. Never had a problem and have always had nice, helpful service.
They have a comfortable waiting area with a TV. I also appreciate that they have a couple of desk areas that you can set up a laptop (and have free wifi). This means that I can get work done and don’t regret the time I’m spending sitting there.
It’s a dealership, so the prices aren’t necessarily the best for service. However, it’s reliable and easy to work with, so I’m not complaining.
