Firestone Complete Auto Care

I went in there on a Monday morning to get new tires for my 1966 mustang. I was greeted with a friendly smile and got right down to business. I asked if the guy at the desk could come look and see if I would need all brand new tires. I knew I would but it was nice to know that he would come look. Everything was great!
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is I was a little freaked at the labor total for installing 4 tires and doing an alignment for my car. It was only a 2 hour job and I was charged $ 150 dollars for labor just kinda shocked me other than that they were great.

Updating their review because they did not top off my fluids. I noticed my coolant was almost below the critical line. When I called back he said that it was their policy not to feel the coolant because they «did not want to give you a false sense of security». Sounds like they’re just friggin cheap.

went in for an oil change, and had good service. They check the tire pressure, and also found a light that was burned out. No high-​pressure sales to get anything else fixed there. The oil change was one of the best deals I’ve had anywhere. Literally cheaper or about half the price of other places.

They are always accommodating, even when all you need is air in your tires. Great service.

This Firestone location is the best! I purchased two new tires from Walmart for the front of my car, had them installed somewhere else, and my steering wheel vibrated like crazy. I had the wheels balanced at two different tire shops (which got better each time), but the problem still existed. I went to this Firestone and they resolved the problem right away! Not only that, with their courtesy service, I was able to drop my car off, they took me back to work, AND picked me up when they finished! I LOVE this Firestone and recommend it for everyone!

Update… after another test they found that the thermostat casing was busted. Not sure if that was before or after their first inspection.
i will still take it to get looked at; but they did take care of me.

The reviews are correct the only reason I gave this place one star was so I could make a post. I just left from getting my oil changed and this was the worst customer service ever, the technician Chad was not any help at all and rude. They will never get my money again… I should have known it was a red flag once saw the wait time was the lowest in the entire area

Ok, there’s nothing but one star reviews on here and believe me, it stopped me for the longest time from going here for anything. It’s a very convenient place for me to go to since I live right behind them but my fellow Unilocalers warned me to take my business elsewhere, which I did for a year and a half. But finally, I had delayed my safety inspection long enough and my pile of to do list was running way too long for me to not take advantage of the fact that I can drop the car, walk home, and take the other car to do 5 – 6 other things while first car is being worked on. For the sake of my time management, I came to this place. The guy upfront was pretty nice and it was 5 minute transaction. They got my oil change and safety done in 45 mins and I was done. I was only able to get 2 things done my errand list before I got the call to come pick it up. It was a huge sigh of relief for me. Convenience paid off big time for me this day.

cant not rely on them. 30 min for somebody to drive me to work and when they call back they told me i will have to get the ride from somebody else. totally rude,

It’s as bad as everyone says! I usually don’t believe in reviews, but STAY AWAY!
I went in because my air pressure light turned on, and I got the car back with the light still on. So, a week later I took it in again (to be sure!) — and one of the mechanics threw a fit in front of me because he said he saw it last week, and there was nothing wrong with it (super unprofessional, and uncomfortable).
The man up front told me he’d get another mechanic to check it, and turns out, my spare was low on air. That fixed the situation, but it took TWO visits, and 3 hours for them to figure out that the spare was the problem. Never EVER going back.

Awful! They made my boyfriend pay for an oil change and actually didn’t change his oil. Only way we knew is because boyfriend had to take his car to the mechanic the following weekend.

I just left here from having to have a transmission service done. Their service is terrible. Memo was nice but they are not customer friendly at all. They need a woman in there to bring a better customer service appeal. One plus is that I found a bunch of coupons for Firestone in the back of the Dallas phone book. I’ll take my business to the other side of N. MacArthur by Kroger next time. Maybe they have a bit more decorum in their customer service.

Do not go here, even if they offer you their services for free. It is a complete scam job. No respect for you, your time or your hard earned money.
They are not even good at scamming you, cause a dumb half — wit will know that they are trying to rip you off.
If you want to waste your time and money and have absolutely no work done on your car, then go here !!!
Went there for a wheel alignment. Came back with nothing. I have never heard of paying someone for a job they cannot do. Their return specs showed me a bunch of stuff they could not correct, then why was I paying them ?
They kept recommending a bunch of other stuff like a tire to improve the performance of the car, which had nothing to do with them doing their job i.e. the wheel alignment correctly.
At the end of it, I just wanted to save myself the effort of dealing with this bunch of idiots.
Do not go there for your life. I have been to several auto shops around the country and some bad ones too. This was by far the worst.

It’s a shame, because it was convenient for me to walk back to my apartment after I dropped off my car.
I didn’t start going there until I bought their tires. I have free alignments/​rotations for the lifetime of the tires, so why not get my oil changed, etc. there, too?
The problems started when my brakes began to squeak. I brought my car in, and they had a couple options for my brakes, one being about double the price for a «lifetime» guarantee. I decided on the cheaper package because I wasn’t going to drive my car into the ground; I’d probably replace it in 2 – 3 years.
Anyway, after I left with my new brake pads, etc. I STILL heard squeaking. It was even worse now, so I went back to Firestone about a week later. They had it for an hour or two, and then called me up to their desk.
«We didn’t hear any squeaking.»
«Well, it squeaks.»
«We didn’t hear it.»
Okay? So, I took my car home. The squeaking continued.
I brought my car in a couple weeks later for the same problem.
«We don’t hear anything. We even drove it in a tunnel where you can hear everything better but we heard nothing.»
Are you SERIOUS?
I started to get upset, but since I had SOME protection on these brakes from them, I really wanted them to fix it before I went off to some other garage.
Third time was the charm (sort of). I brought back my car AGAIN, and they finally heard the squeaking. This time, I walked home and waited for them to call. They called and told me that there was something else within the brake system that needed replacing.
«Why didn’t you replace that the first time I brought it in?»
«Because it didn’t need replacing then.»
«Um, then how did the squeaking get WORSE after you guys ‘fixed’ it the first time?»
«Well, we have a couple options for you…»
Ugh. One option was free because it was covered by my brake package, and the other cost money. I went with the free one.
When I walked back to pick up my car, they had a bill waiting for me.
«Wait, I thought you said that was covered by my brake package?»
«The one thing was, but you wanted the thing that was $ 40.»
«No…I didn’t. I specifically said, ‘I don’t want to spend anymore money on this.’»
«Well, you said to do xyz which costs $ 40.»
«No, I did not.»
Eventually, the manager came over and let me off without paying the bill (thank you). But, guess what? MY BREAKS STILL SQUEAK.

I will never go back to this place. I made an appointment online for an oil change and inspection. When I showed up, they said «You can’t make an appointment for a state inspection in Texas.» Umm, then why was it on your website?
They said it would be a 3-​hour wait for the inspection. Whaa??? No, I’m on my lunch break. I’ll have to come back some other day. Miraculously, a spot opened up and they could do it right then.
Oh, but my «service engine» light was on, so I failed the inspection. Um, could you not have noticed that light when you pulled my car in the bay and let me know I was going to fail, rather than go through all the motions and then charge me for a failed inspection?
Then they want me to come back tomorrow and pay $ 79.99 for their diagnostician to tell me why my light is on. (And that doesn’t include the cost of fixing whatever they say is wrong with it.) No thanks, guys. I’ll take it from here.
It wasn’t just me having problems. I overheard another customer telling the guy at the counter «Just give me my keys. I already feel like I’ve been here eight hours.»

Do not come here.
I printed out a coupon for a oil change and tire rotation from firestone’s website 2 weeks ago. I called beforehand to make sure I could use it. Upon arriving, the manager refused to acknowledge it and even accused me of printing it illegitimately from some deal website, and that the coupon was 4 years old.
I ended up getting an alignment since I had purchased lifetime alignment. At first, he was hesitant and asked me all sorts of questions about the vehicle and owner. He eventually put it in and said it would take 1.5 hours.
1.5 hours later, I called to see if I could pick it up. The guy tokens that they hadn’t e en started and that it would be another hour.
50 min later, I get a call from the technician saying I need to change tires soon. I confirm that I can pick it up and drive back.
The technician was nice and showed me my treads and said I had another 7000 miles on it.
I went back in the office and told the manager I was ready to pick up my car. He told me about my tires. I said I was going to buy from elsewhere since they too expensive, and he shook his head and said no, they weren’t. I asked if they had price match and said I would think about price matching. Turns out they don’t have emails, so you have to come in to show them anything.
I pick up my car and drive back. Then I took a look at the alignment report and find out they had barely done anything at all. I had 7 measurements that were red, and 5 of them were still red after the alignment.
So if you want to waste 3 hours for nothing and get lied to, come here. Otherwise, I’d suggest going somewhere else. There are dozens of other bad other reviews for this place as well, so check those out.
