Holiday Inn Express & Suites Irving Conv Ctr – Las Colinas

I was happy with this venue. I had to take a shuttle from the airport and the staff was so helpful on the phone. The shuttle driver was pleasant, friendly, and personable.
The beds are comfortable and room was spacious. The position of the tv was a bit weird making it awkward to watch. The separate tub was nice but the shower was quite small.
The complimentary breakfast was convenient and the biscuits yummy…

My girlfriend and I stayed at this Holiday Inn Express over the weekend for Dallas Comic Con: Fan Days. I called ahead to let them know I would be checking in late and when I realized my girlfriend’s mom would be staying with us for one night, they gladly changed my room from a single king bed to two double beds at no extra cost.
I appreciated seeing the friendly faces all weekend and everyone was so considerate and kind to us during our whole stay there. They kindly answered questions regarding the shuttle and provided us with extra shampoo and conditioner when we realized we forgot to bring some.
The room itself was very roomy; we were able to invite people over to have dinner and I just really enjoyed everything. The price is incredible for the room we stayed in.
I appreciated the extra sheets and pillows hidden away in the closet. I appreciated the dish soap above the sink in the kitchenette. I appreciated that this Holiday Inn Express took the time and consideration to make our stay beyond pleasant and satisfactory.
We are seriously considering staying here again just for the hell of it (as in, not for an event) because it was such a nice getaway. Thank you so much!

I stayed at this hotel until 11:30pm last night and then moved to a different hotel. My first room seemed fine until I noticed a small bug on the pillow next to me. Upon further inspection there were multiple bugs and after a quick google search, definitely bed bugs.
I quickly showered and fortunately had not placed anything else on the bed (backpack, bag) and went downstairs to ask for another room. Hotel clerk didn’t seem concerned and gave me another room. Once in the second room, I immediately flipped the pillow over to find a bug.
Went downstairs and had my reservation transferred and left. No apologies were given and the room was not comped.
I am now keeping everything I packed in plastic bags in the sun in attempts to kill anything that may have hitched a ride home. Hopefully the few bites on my shoulder are all that I come away with. I stay at holiday inn express all of the time and travel frequently (five different hotels in last three weeks) and haven’t had any issues elsewhere.

The staff is very friendly, attentive, and always have a smile on their face. They are quick to fix problems if there are any. On our recent stay, our tv went out, while maintenance was enjoying his night off. They could have easily said, «sorry, wait till tomorrow.» But instead they promptly got us a new tv, made accommodations, made jokes, and made our night a lot less stressful.

This place always treats me great. Good pricing. Easy in/=out of the city and walking distance to the monorail.

This place is pretty only and has a weird smell but it is a Holiday Inn… I wasn’t expecting the Ritz but there was some serious wear and tear.
That wouldn’t really have been an issue but when I went into the bathroom to find a bug in the shower, I was not happy.
I would have even let that slide but when I asked for them to clean out the shower they just removed the bug and left the other dirt and etc. in there.
Needless to say this was the most pleasant visit but there were a few positive things worth bringing up…
They have a nice little Happy Hour in the lobby and the shuttle driver was full of personality, he had me laughing the whole ride.

Staff wasn’t the friendliest this time around normally they are better and the halls and rooms of this place always smells awful so please bring air freshener if you have to stay here. I stay here for work and so the breakfast is a nice thing to have as well as the mini fridge and the microwave. The room is always clean and the king size pillows are great!

Well it’s a Holiday Inn so it’s nothing out too extravagant. But when it comes to cleanliness, affordable rates and comfort, it’s a pretty solid deal. If you’ve got something going on at the Irving Convention Center, this is a fair choice for an overnight stay. There’s a complimentary breakfast bar in the morning and front desk staff that are quick to address your needs. There’s free WiFi and the rooms have separate «living areas» for you to unwind on the loveseat and eat dinner or get some work done. The downside is there is no room service and there isn’t a whole lot to choose from in the area when it comes to grabbing a quick bite or exploring the nightlife in the area.

They took amazing care of me when I was stuck overnight in Dallas due to an airline issue. They went above and beyond to make my overnight stay comfortable.

If I was rating this place on first impressions I would give them 1 star.
However, after spending a week at this Holiday Inn and it’s staff, I am happy to give them 3 stars (would be 3.5 if that was possible).
The address is not recognized with mobile device maps services and therefore will have you running in circles for hours. When I finally called the hotel for assistance, I was blown off. When asked for another landmark, restaurant, hotel, etc that was near so I could GPS to that location & then make my way to the Holiday Inn, I was told «there is nothing around», and then «we are near a brick building». When I explained that I was not from Texas and was completely lost coming from DFW (all of 3 miles away), I was told, «I’m sorry but I don’t really know what I can do to help». I hung up infuriated and ready to cancel my reservation. I called my husband back in San Diego, had him get on the internet and try to navigate me to the hotel. He too ran into the issues I did, the address is not accurate. Finally he found the Convention Center is literally NEXT DOOR! GPS directed me to the Convention Center and from there I could see my hotel. Wish the receptionist had offered that little tip!
Upon checking in I was politely greeted, offered water or coffee and then was offered a slight upgrade. The room was perfect for my week business stay. Office space with internet and electric plugs. A table with chairs and an adjustable TV made for easy watching in bed or at the table.
The breakfast was weak. No fruit was offered. The options; mystery eggs & meat * processed pastries and muffins. I tried to survive on a 4oz yogurt and ended up grabbing breakfast at the nearby Corner Bakery & Café.
The fitness center was decent, but within 10 minutes of running on the treadmill it started an electric fire (fire engines, hotel evacuated, the whole deal) and wasn’t re-​opened the remainder of my stay.
I usually pick Holiday Inn Express because they are conveniently located in cities, offer free breakfast (hit or miss) and have decent prices. Even though this stay wasn’t 5-​star worthy I’d give them a try again.

This was a great Hotel. It looked very new and nice. Lobby was extremely clean. The room/​suite was very nice with a large sitting area slightly separated from the bed area. Bathroom was average, maybe a little small for the rest of the room.. I would say a little above average Holiday Inn Express

Pretty much a basic Holiday Inn Express. I noticed that the bathroom in my room was way too dark, although the king bed was quite comfortable. Breakfast is the typical free/​barely edible selection. They offered free shuttle service to the nearby corporate park where Iwas working for a few days.
