Staying in a hotel, one grows tired of fast food. McAlister’s is a great alternative. Their baked potatoes come with meat, so it is more like a delicious meal, than a burger and fries. Their sweet tea is always perfect, and my husband loves the club. One of my favorite places to get a baked potato.

A good variety of food on the menu. It does get incredibly busy around lunch time(11:30) and after, but the staff does a great job handling customers quickly and with good service. The food: I’ve had a veggie club, and the taco salad. Both were ok, nothing special, but the taco salad a bit better. Came with veggie chilli, tortilla chips, guac and sour cream. It was filling, but some of the lettuce was a bit suspect. Seems to be very popular, but with the options around it, I’d pick something else. However it wasn’t my choice. When I’m back in the area I’d explore other options.

Mitchell was awesome. I went today around 3:30 and I think I was his first customer. He was very friendly and quick. I placed my order had a seat on the bench to wait for it and he personally brought it to me in under 5 minutes. I wish I received service like this everywhere I went. Mitchell is definitely an asset to your company. Btw I had the Pasta Cavatappi it was awesome.

The reason for my 5 stars is because of their awesome creamy and big slice of cheesecake. The price is about $ 3 dollars a slice. Its nice and big too. Service is a little slow but they are always pleasant.

DFW really lacks a sense of place. From it’s bleak cookie cutter corporate campuses to it’s completely insane lack of any good Chinese restaurants it is a strange land, indeed. I was warned by coworkers and family members alike that the only thing memorable about McAlister’s is the view you get when you are driving away. After nearly two years in this area I finally took the plunge. I can say that I have now dined at McAlister’s in Irving twice. I ordered a Rueben both times. Like Irving, the building lacks a soul, but the staff is efficient enough. Both times my sandwich was ready within 5 minutes. Let’s address the Cole Slaw first. Limp and lifeless. The second time around the Slaw even looked kind of old, but I don’t think I will get sick. My paternal grandmother, a intensely crabby Swedish woman made the best Cole Slaw I ever tasted. I thought it was some kind of secret, but once many years ago my uncle took me to a bar b que place in Culpepper, Virginia that has been open since the 1930s. My uncle confided in me that my grandmother stole the recipe from the little hole in the wall in Culpepper. McAlister’s slaw is below average, but it did not make me sick. Both times my sandwich was OK, and it filled a need, BUT, and this is a deal breaker-the first time I got a pickle with my sandwich. The second time I did not. Good bye forever, McAlister’s.

We came in on the hot July free ice tea day. We walked in and was greeted by a friendly cashier. I told her we’d like the free ice teas and she rang them up asking how many adult and how many kids cups. She asked for assistance and quickly got us all set up and on our way. Great experience for getting free drinks. We’re not one to go get free deals, so thank you McAlisters!

Food was good but it’s just another chain. Nothing to go nuts for. I felt like the options were pretty limited and very specific. However, the staff was incredible. They were on high alert and incredibly helpful!

This used to be my go to place for lunch. My coworkers would joke about how often I ate here. It used to be a great location and the staff was helpful and friendly. It’s been going downhill for awhile now so I haven’t been in a month or so. Fast forward to today and I probably will never go back. The staff just doesn’t seem to care at all. I ordered a soup and salad to go. It was later in the afternoon so they weren’t busy. In fact, I was the only person waiting. They got my name wrong at the register so I had to wait longer to verify that it was in fact my order. Not a big deal, I got my food and left. I got back to the office and they had obviously just thrown my soup into the bag on its side and it was leaking everywhere. Okay, mistakes happen but this was just carelessness. They used to wrap the soup in a bag to prevent this. It’s not like I threw the bag around or anything. It went from my car to my desk. There was no dressing for my salad and my crackers were smashed. There was a knife but no fork or spoon. So someone took the time to put a knife in there with one napkin but didn’t bother to think I would need a fork or spoon for soup and salad. It’s a shame because the food is normally pretty good. This location has lost a pretty loyal customer.

Good food but not enough staffing. Line out the door. I would definitely not recommend coming here on your lunch hour even if its just«to go». Addendum: finally got my food and found it was cold, and messed up. Apparently, they couldn’t understand«no jalapeños» which means all the extras for my nachos were wasted. For my salad they gave me half a thing of dressing. So, I had to bump my review from two stars down to one. I think that this is the last time at this store, which is a shame since the folks are nice there. Incompetent but nice. And I generally like McAlister’s deli, at least the restaurant off of Southlake Blvd in Southlake, TX.

This is the best mcalisters I have been to. The service is wonderful. The store manager always makes sure that everything is perfect. We go there for the food and the tea because we like it but more than that the service is one of the best out there

They have the cheapest kids meals around! Only $ 2 for the kids meal with a drink. The sandwiches are huge and are good tasting. I haven’t had anything I didn’t like. The staff here was super friendly and helpful. They went over the top to make sure we were pleased.

Great place for lunch. The cold sandwiches and potato salad are da bomb. The customer service is WAY over the top. People will come and check on you like 3 – 4 times within 10 mins. It’s borderline annoying, but I’m not complaining. And you get free cookies sometimes!

Great meals with lots of options. The salads are fresh with a variety of fresh veggies and fruit. Great combos and the pick 2, lets you choose from lots of options. The new pastas are great and the potatoes as well so you aren’t limited to just soups, sandwiches and salads. Kids meals are an amazing value with lots of food, so even big kids can fill up here. Super family friendly and great for a work lunch break with lots of seating for big groups.

Hello iced tea happiness! If you don’t know that is McAlister’s specialty. Get it sweet or unsweet if you are sweet already. This is a great location. It’s always bustling so get there early! They have great turkey sandwiches… try the Patriot… I’m not sure that it’s even on the menu anymore. Lots of healthy options and they will accommodate your diet if you have restrictions. Baked potatoes, tortilla chips with yummy rotel and I have a thing for their chicken tortilla soup! It’s so spicy, zesty and good. Perfect on a chilly night!

If you don’t have that much time for lunch don’t bother with ordering over phone. There’s no parking for pick up only, they have one person at register that seems to dislike their job. It’s never a simple process. The line just to pick up orders is crazy. To order and get a table seems to move faster then the pick up line. Don’t believe I’ll be back. The grilled chicken salad isn’t to bad but the few times I’ve ordered the lettuce is old. Overrated

I ordered the choose two meal which was chicken tortilla soup and the pot roast sandwich with gravy. Both were delivered to my table within 5 minutes of ordering.

This place is sooo good! Their menu is never ending. They have soups, sandwiches(hot or cold), baked potatoes, and the list goes on. Omg and their strawberry tea is awesome! This place might be my dinner for tonight…

We’ve eaten at McAlister’s Grapevine location several times and have always been satisfied with the quality and price. In fact, we’re currently one meal away from our free meal via rewards card — we’ve enjoyed their food so much. Unfortunately, this particular location doesn’t seem to adhere to the same standards as the Grapevine location. We recently ordered two sandwiches and sides to go and when we got home we were surprised to see two very thin sandwiches with very little meat on them. More bread than meat! The tiny side containers weren’t even filled half-way. A couple of stems of broccoli and three or four baby carrots certainly do not equal a «side» order. This amount of food certainly isn’t worth the price we were charged. Either we’ll stick to the Grapevine location(kind of inconvenient when you live in Irving) or go to Jason’s Deli, where the sandwiches are consistently generous and overflowing with meat. **Update, 6/14/14** I discussed my concerns with the Assistant Manager, Mr. Baiady, who was kind enough to send me a letter of apology along with an invitation of two free meals. A+ for customer service.
