Minyard Food Stores

So I have had both satisfying & unsatisfying experiences with this store before. This review will be about my most recent one.
My family was throwing a party for my brother, whom was visiting home from the army. I was in charge of getting him a cake but due to being busy & under stress, I completely forgot to submit a form for the cake in 24 – 48 hours in advance. I did some research & called a few bakeries near me but could not placed an order. It was either too late or no bakery had a baker that could make me a flag-​shapped cake.
Then I remembered about having a positive cake outcome from Minyards a few years back. So I called, ask & was able to placed an order the day before the party! It was a simple order, a 12×24 sheet white cake w/​red & blue stripes, white stars, w/​whipped cream instead of butter cream. For some reason, I had pictured it cut like a flag, covered w/​colored fondue.
Well, after picking up the cake, I was a bit disappointed that it didn’t look like I had imagined. Maybe I didn’t explain it properly. I took the cake home & left it out at room temperature. The weather was cold so there was no need to fridge the cake.
The whipped cream statyed put, & tasted so prefect! Perfectly whipped to a soft & smooth texture, enough sweetness that didn’t overpower the rest of the cake & batter, the batter was moist & stayed that way till the end of the party, after having been cut. I was so happy & satisfied with the taste of the cake. All my family members also complimented the taste, too! I was so upset when we ran out of cake bc I had wanted to pack some home! Lol
If ever I need a cake, I will return to this bakery department! Their staff were flexible & skillful in helping me choose a cake that delivered happiness to me & my family! Thanks u guys! B-)

Pretty great store. Everything’s nice and organized and the checkouts are always speedy. Other places you would have to wait awhile. Its really conveniently located and I would not go anywhere else.

This place hasn’t changed a bit it’s a down to earth store clean friendly workers and a good selection of items, Mexican aisles, a good meat market and they still have old school meat cutters working witch is a Dying breed lol… they also have a great one dollar aisle .I recommend this store to anybody…
